“We really enjoyed our time here the apartment was amazing location and so comfy inside. Parking for two big cars and plenty of space inside the property. Right on the doorstep was the beach which was ideal for our two dogs.”

“Excellent property,very comfortable, a bit sterile needs more comfortable night time seeting. Lovely neighbours very convenient for local environment, 2 minutes from beach and seashore. Lovely cafe very handy!”

“Fern Lea was a lovely bungalow with an amazing view out of the kitchen and lounge windows. The childrens toys and games were great. The shower was always hot and powerful. Some instructions for the washing machine and hob would have been helpful as it took us quite a while to work out how to use it.”

“The Old Rectory property was dirty and not as described. Requests to complete repairs to level access door were not completed. Ongoing complaint.”

“We stayed in Castle View in Scarborough. Lovely house in an extremely scruffy location. Large well equipped kitchen with a soggy stinking floor. We tried to Host and Stay immediately, and again and again etc etc. They tell you sometimes coming out to look ...no one came. They respond in strange ways to messages and don't respond at all to Airbnb. So my request for a refund went unanswered. They just ignore and hope you'll go away. Great way to ruin a company Me Dale Smith but as long as the money keeps rolling in for your investors/owners like you promise I suppose no one cares. Host and Stay certainly don't care about the customer at all.”

“Worst experience we have ever had with a property rental! Worst part, they didn't even care. The rental smelled, it was extremely dirty with dust all over light fixtures and cob webs in the corners. Back patio was covered in weeds growing up between cracks for months and even worse, there were 6 bags of garbage from previous tenant or owner sitting in corner of rear patio. There was no shampoo available at all until we found the hidden stash. Only 2 bath towels and one hand towel for an 8 night stay with NO face clothes at all. The property has been extremely neglected. No outside lights worked... Either on back patio or at front door. Walkway to front door was 75% blocked by overgrown bushes and with the rainy weather that is typical in Glasgow, you couldn't get to door without getting soaked. Once we notified Host and Stay, THE FIRST NIGHT, no one ever came to fix any of our issues! They kept promising that the issues would be resolved but no one ever came to do anything. Please don't waste your hard earned $ with this company. You will be disappointed and I am confident their good reviews are fake news.”

“Practically Perfect in every way! As a multi generation family of 5 people, the house on Falkner Street was fabulous! More room than we knew what to do with, charmingly & wittily decorated with every modern convenience you needed to make it a home from home. Smack bang in the middle of the Knowledge Quarter and a lovely stroll into town - it met all of our needs. The check in and out process was simply but thoroughly explained and super quick comms when I requested a little local knowledge. Could not recommend enough!”

“A great holiday home in an amazing location in the grounds of Whitby Abbey. Furnished to a very high standard, parking for 2 cars, dog friendly, great responsive owners. I could go on but just book it and you will see for yourselves how good this place is.”

“The lodge was thick of dust&cobwebs. Outside seating area looked lovely on the website...total weeded unkempt mess upon arrival, seats that housed lots of spiders judging from more cobwebs. Windows filthy with weeds growing up them & shower cubicle grout, sealant & shower hose black with mould. 2 cups dirty. Host&Stay did offer to come&reclean the lodge but as we were only there for 2 nights we didn't want the disruption.”

“We enjoyed the apartment in Scarborough.It's a very pleasant place to stay . Clean ,nicely decorated and quiet .Walking distance to shops. I would recommend another large settee in the lovely lounge to relax on ,also the gas fire seems to be disconnected for some reason ,hence sometimes chilly when relaxing . I think it would be more helpful to have a welcome pack explaining things and explaining the parking ,all other places we’ve stayed at also give guests parking permits .”
