I recently ordered 5 pairs of shoes from House of Fraser online and have encountered a number of issues that in my view would never happen before the takeover. Firstly, at the point of purchase I wasn’t notified that we couldn’t get full refunds when you return to store, I only found out after travelling to the store to return 3 of the shoes (of which 1 one was faulty - different sizes sent) that I couldn’t get a full refund in store. This needs to be very clear at the point of order instead of it being hidden down in the small print. Secondly, following the lack of help from the store I posted the 3 pairs of shoes back to the warehouse as advised (registered delivery at my own expense) - the website says I’ll get my postage costs refunded if I’ve received a faulty item. I then contacted customer services (email only) to notify them of the faulty item and request a refund - I was told I wouldn’t get a refund until the shoes were scanned in as faulty. Thirdly, of the 3 shoes returned - I’ve now received a refund for 2 out of the 3 shoes including the faulty pair but not the delivery charge even though it has been scanned in as faulty. To further worsen this experience, I am yet to receive a refund for a 3rd pair of shoes and after chasing twice (again all by email), I’ve now been told that the shoes were returned back to me as it was ‘deemed’ used by the returns team. This is ridiculous as the shoes were sent back exactly as received - I bought 5 pairs of shoes, kept 2 and returned 3 including a faulty pair. Why would I return the shoes if they were used, given I’d kept 2!!! Makes no sense. Just to be clear, I have since not received the shoes, the delivery charge or the required refund. This whole experience has been so bad such that I will never again shop at House of Fraser online and would actively discourage anyone from doing so. It would be much better if one can actually speak to a person who can help instead of having to send multiple chaser emails with no human contact. Can you please get someone to review and get back to me as a matter of urgency, my order ref is - HOF40000068239431 and I’d expect a refund on the outstanding amount please. Many Thanks!

Bought over £500 worth of clothes. Needed to return some items so took them to a store. Apparently you now can no longer return to store if you want a refund so had to pay over £16 to post back to HoF in addition to the £4.99 initial postage. I will not buy from HoF again.

I ordered a vase & two diffusers with a delivery charge of £9.99. I then received an email saying HOF were processing a cancellation request (not by me) as one of the goods was faulty and I had changed my mind about the other item. I therefore, never received any goods, yet they still charged me £9.99 for delivery, outrageous. Will never shop with them again.

Brought 2 packs of boxer trunks with 3 per pack but 1 pack only had 2 pairs in it. Can't get to speak to a human only a robot. Could not get any satisfaction after an hour so sent the hole order back for a full refund. Will never shop at this place again.

I bought a jacket as a gift, I paid for urgent delivery. Two months have passed since my purchase. I received 21 letters from Matthew from the senior advisor! 2 months of correspondence! Are you seriously ? Return my money ! I paid for express delivery, this item is no longer relevant to me.

The item, a mens' deodorant stick, arrived damaged and un-usuable. Not surprising rally as it had been simply chucked in a carrier bag and posted. I sent them a photo of it and asked what they would do. They offered to knock 25% off the price!! I said no and then they made me post it back even though it was clearly broken, with a chunk missing, and I had to wait until they got it back before they refunded. The whole thing took over a week. No apology, nothing to compensate me for my wasted time and travel to return it Awful I'm going to go to Amazon in future where you get good customer service.

I placed an order and have had no email info to say if it’s gone through. When I try to email I am asked all sorts of questions that do not relate to what I am asking about!!!

I will never buy anything from House of Fraser again. I bought 2 tops, identical except for colour, wore each once then washed them together in a 30 degree wash. One shrank by 4 centimetres, so I sent it back for a refund. House of Fraser returned it to me, saying that they could find no manufacturing fault and I was therefore not entitled to my money back. So I raised a complaint and included a photograph of the two items side-by-side as evidence. But they refused to budge, and subjected me to the 'broken record' technique. So I escalated it. The response from Jan (part of the management team) said "A product shrinking within the wash is not classed as a manufacturing fault.". So there you have it - House of Fraser does not believe that the Consumer Rights Act applies to them. I'll give the top to Oxfam.

The worse customer service ever. Unfriendly and rude staff that seem very unbothered to even do their job. Kiki especially and Adrian at the Westfield branch are terrible to say the least.

Ordered 2 items for next day delivery. I got a message saying one of the item is unavailable and I will need to place another order and pay another next day delivery charge. The assistant was so unhelpful. I was willing to order another item which costs over £100 to replace the unavailable item but they refused.

Today 8th November. Lady on Sislea skin care. Very helpful. Professional, patient. Hope we continue to keep our House of Fraser in Leamington. Hope everyone supports the store by shopping locally. Also lady on paying point nearest to Jack Wills. Really friendly and helpful. Thanks

I ordered 2 items on houseoffraser October 11th . The order number is HOF40000067989845. Due to houseoffraser mistake. The order was returned to houseoffraser warehouse inexplicably.No customer service contacted me what happen. I contact them every time every time. 21 days have passed, 21 days have passed. Houseoffraser website promised a 7-day refund. No news. No customer service contacted me . Can you tell me the reason? When will I get a refund? A very bad shopping experience.

Very disappointed. Bought north face joggers from them. First of all jogging from this big brand but quality zero as inner fluff coming out everywhere. Then decided to wash them as maybe fluff stop coming out. After washing find out small hole on the back and decided return as is faulty item. After one hour talking they didn’t take them back anyway. If u wanna return back any item even washed didn’t take out any labels and stickers. Just walk with them like a cloun just in case if u will decided return item back to house of fraser

I ordered a t shirt/short set online and only the t shirt came. They told me the shorts had been posted and i must have received them. I'm so disappointed as i always use these guys. unfortunately i won't be using these again out of principle.

This is the worst online experience ever. I ordered some trousers in size 6, they shipped size 12, they told me to ship it back at their expenses, and they would ship me the correct size. Not only I had to pay more than Euro 18 to ship back (never refunded), but they have received my trousers 2 weeks ago and they don’t have any intention to give me the ones I paid for. They don’t reply to my mails. Very frustrating. I’m going to open a dispute with paypal.

Birmingham House of Fraser a must stop shop. I don’t understand why it’s not busier. Great service. Super brands. Plus I can see the clothes up close. No online shopping that will be returned a dozen times.

I have been a customer with House of Fraser for over 40 years, and expect a certain level of competent service, I rang the store in Middlesbrough mainly with a query, I rang 11 times , no answer, waited 59 minutes, eventually when I did get through the required department again no answer 25 minutes wait, I gave op, I tried later and the person took my phone details to call me back, no phone call, at last with half a day passed and so much time wasted I got what I had originally asked for! Also I had ordered products on line but need to return for exchange (trainers) but discovered I have to pay 6.5£ to return the trainers, most other companies of this calibre have FREE returns one being John Lewis , Once I have sorted this out which is going to negate any profit I made by having a “ sale” item I will not be frequenting any House of Fraser store or purchasing on line, Very poor service , thank good we now have so many other choices but I did wish to continue shopping with House of Fraser , but not now sadly.

Ordered 2 sweatshirts totalling £88 and never received them, Hermes app saying Delivered but never were. Theft. Can’t get HOF to answer phone just rings out forever, web live chat isn’t live at all, nor can I get a real person at Hermes. Do NOT order anything from HOF.
