Very Poor Experience. We booked a takeaway for TGI Fridays around 18:00hrs through Deliveroo. The delivery time was given to us for 18:45 which with it being a half term we thought that was ok. At 20:00 hrs some hr and a quarter past the delivery time we still had not received our meal. They had not even sent a rider to collect it. On checking through the app we had one update which said, we are having difficulty in locating a rider but don’t worry your food is being kept fresh. If it was supposed to arrive at 18:45 and had not even been collected at 20:00hrs it would not bet be that fresh. Who on earth would want their burger takeaway kept warm for some hour and a quarter at least. Extremely poor service, poor updates and on contacting Deliveroo to cancel the order in the end as we made alternative arrangements, extremely poor customer services. Deliveroo is a Very unreliable service. Thank god for Dominoes who delivered within 20 mins.

Shocking service and appalling customer service. Placed my order at 21:35 for delivery confirmed as 22:15, at 22:35 I then get an email to say my order is rejected with no explanation. Limited chase left for food given the time and customer services basically not interested. This is not the first issue I have had with them either, a couple of weeks ago a pizza hut order was dispatched from a branch twice the distance from my local branch meaning my food was cold on arrival, again customer services not interested. DO NOT USE DELIVEROO IF YOU WANT WARM FOOD WITH A RELIABLE SERVICE!

First time deliveroo order placed. Delivery was prompt but one of the pizzas was stone cold & only a third of it was eaten. This was reported to deliveroo who have basically said ‘tough, it was delivered in an insulated bag within expected timescales’. If this was a restaurant, you would have sent the food straight back to the kitchen. This wasn’t obviously an option. Will never use this service again. Their customer service must rank as one if the worst.

I am in the UAE - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They took my money twice - I had to wait three days for the funds to be returned and got no food....they had a "technical glitch" on two separate and consecutive occasions - worked for taking my money though...

Wow, what can i say. 1st ever order with deliveroo from Nando's, xscape, Milton Keynes and one i NEVER want to repeat. Out of the 10 items i ordered, 4 items never arrived and 1 item received wasn't even ours. Everything was received cold apart from 1 piece of chicken. I called Deliveroo customer service and well the lady i spoke to was absolutely useless. Didn't bother to offer the food to be sent out and tried telling me Nando's was now closed as of that moment (18:44) when Nando's is open until 10:30 pm. She then proceeded to offer me a compensation credit to my deliveroo account and then went to end the call before i stopped her and asked about what's happening with getting my money back for the items i didn't get. She then told me that was the compensation she had given me. I had to tell her that NO i don't want credit i want my refund into my BANK ACCOUNT. She then apparently processed my request and again tried to end the call. I had to then raise my voice a little to get at least an apology for all that had happened and that my dinner now consisted of a little piece of chicken. I had to ask them what they are going to do to make this debacle up better. She offered my £5 credit to my deliveroo account, i mean honestly what the hell!!! I WILL NEVER USE DELIVEROO AGAIN

First time using the service. Two orders made witha korean and indian. Korean ended up no problem, the indian was first given to a stranger.. Customer services was fine, communication good throughout and they did deal with the failed delivery. The redelivery of the indian also failed. The rider called me. I couldnt understand a word he said. I tried to explain exactly where the guys were sat waiting but he continued to talk over me. The post code used was for a building that my guys were sat outside. I double checked the post code and it was correct. I also gave extra instructions to describe where the delivery was to be made. What could go wrong? The rider kept interupting and interupting without letting me explain where he had to go. In the end, i told him where to go in nit so many nice words but it had to get said. I had a guy starving for food who then ended up not eating at all. Why would you employ someone who does not speak english, has no customer interaction skills? I wont be using again, even though the first delivery did arrive. I may end up with the same failed delivery rider as i had experienced here.

Don’t use this service !!! Waited 65 minutes for my order had a phone call when delivery was due at 8.35 to advise that my order had been collected from the restaurant but they didn’t know where it had been delivered! I expressed my dissatisfaction they then offered to deliver it at 9.35! When I asked for a refund I was offered a credit to use on another order. At no time was an apology made and the operator resisted agreeing to giving me an immediate refund I had to threaten to make a formal complaint before this was agreed. If I could give no stars I would.

Contacted the service desk informing them that my account details had been hacked. Received a totally inadequate response to what I consider to be potential fraud. Have cancelled my account will not be using this service again. D

Food took an hour longer than expected and when it arrived everything was cold. I wrote to their customer service team and was very dissatisfied with their response. First and last time I will use this service.

Worst service ever. Every time I’ve ordered with them I got my food late and cold. Today it has been an hour and a half, they lied to me by saying the driver was waiting for my food (I rang the restaurant and there was no driver there) and ‘all they could do’ was to cancel my order. They said they driver was getting to the restaurant as we were speaking and they thought the best service to offer a customer was to cancel the order and leave me with no food at all

just placed my first deliveroo order and it was auto cancelled after a considerable wait because they had no rider. i work in the trade and my company uses deliveroo also. same story EVERY time, restaurant cooks food, food sits on hot pass, no rider available, order cancelled. result is hungry angry customer and deliveroo out of pocket refunding the food that got wasted. This is possibly the worst company i have ever come across, taking on more business than they can handle therefore providing a terrible service(well actually no service). i think they must have taken there business model from vodafone! avoid disappointment and use a place that has their own delivery service and without lazy riders( oh yeah if you live a mile away from the restaurant they don't want to go that 'far') Avoid, Avoid,Avoid

The app is not safe. My account was easily hacked, I was logged out of it and food was being ordered using my card and my identity. When I reported it to the company, they did nothing to freeze the account and help stop fraud. As a result, more orders were placed and my card details have been compromised.

Twice now we have ordered from Deliveroo and twice now we have been disappointed. Awful service, food never shows up. They claim to have no drivers in the middle of the week and it’s awful. Never will be using deliveroo again.

Have used Deliveroo for nearly 2 years - previously generally OK. Last night the food was and hour late, and stone cold and inedible. The customer service was appalling - nonchalant and dismissive - they only refunded 40% of what was paid for a product that was not fit for purprose. I have closed my account and won;t be using Deliveroo again - basically a bunch of crooks.

I ordered via deliveroo which was a big mistake due to waiting approx 54mins for my food to arrive. The driver contacted me stating his sat nav took him in the wrong direction even though my address is clearly stated. This is the first time I've ordered via deliveroo in the UK never again!! My food arrived lukewarm which was a shame as the food was really good.

You took the money from my account, the food didn't arrive, then I called the restaurant they had not received the order. When I called customer service they told me they would return the money straight away, IN TWO DAYS!!!! Absolute robbery. I will not be using Deliveroo again and will write reviews everywhere. Don't mess about with hungry customers...

Terrible customer service once again. I have had various problems with Deliveroo previously, however, when I tried to place an order last week, the app said that the payment failed. I tried again. Payment failed. I tried for a third time using a different account.Payment failed. I then checked my account (I was in sufficient funds of course) and there were three payments pending for Deliveroo. Reported to in-app customer service, and they said that I would have to wait for an email from a different department as they only dealt with live orders. The email came through 24 hours later. They could not explain why their app failed, or why they took multiple payments. They advised that these were only pending and would "drop off" my account within 72 hours. They actually took almost a week to disappear. They emailed me further saying that they had now suspended my account, and in order to reactivate it I would have to provide photographic proof of ID and proof of address. I responded saying that I will no longer use their app or their dreadful service again.

My account got hacked and multiple orders were made from it today. As soon as I realised someone hacked in my account I have contacted deliveroo. I was informed my account would be now suspended to protect my safety and issue investigated, but 10 hours later my account is still active. Thanks deliveroo for making me safe and for keeping my personal details including access to my bank account available to the hackers. How can even such thing happen in 2019? When you lose your debit card and call a bank to cancel does bank wait a few days to deactivate it so the thieves can use it? Absolutely shocking!!!
