I paid a deposit of $1549.00 when I made my booking on 9/22/22. I received confirmation from Indus Travel on 9/22/22 that my booking was confirmed. On 10/4/22 I received an email from Ravi Yengkokpam that unfortunately your partner in Kenya is unable to accommodate this travel date and to consider doing it on a private basis. I had tried emailing Ravi back and scheduled a callback from him as well. I received an email from Monica Kanengoni that Ravi was out of the office, but they would look into other options and get back to me with those options in a couple of days. I heard nothing and emailed again on 10/11/22 and 10/12/22 that I had not heard back or gotten any options. On 10/13/22 Ravi emailed me that they need at least 3-4 passengers to travel that day and to wait 75 prior to travel date. No information regarding prices for private tour, no option to switch the travel dates. At that point I called Ravi and spoke to him on the phone. He was rude and unhelpful. He kept reiterating the travel dates that I booked because it was offered on YOUR website, was not available and there was nothing he could do until 75 days prior to travel. There is nowhere on your website or your terms that state tours are NOT GUARANTEED UNTIL 75 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. He did not have pricing or an option for a private tour and said there was nothing available in March until 75 before departure. I said that was unacceptable and asked what my other options were. He said he could offer me a voucher for $1,549.00 for future travel. Future travel??? I was trying to book a trip to Kenya through your company for March and couldn’t! I asked to speak to a supervisor. He refused to transfer me, but would have one call me back in a couple of hours. I did not hear back from anyone, so I filed a dispute with My credit card company . Rachel called me back on 10/14/22 who apparently is a supervisor. I advised her I wanted to cancel because of what was told to me by Ravi, and that I wanted to be refunded. She asked if I could be flexible with the dates in March, which I said yes. I had already told Ravi this, but was told there was nothing else available and I would have to wait 75 before travel. She said that was incorrect, and that she would contact their partner in Kenya and rebook to a confirmed tour in March or would have my deposit refunded to me. She asked that I give her 2 weeks, and if they could not accommodate that I would get a refund. She also said she would give me updates. I heard nothing. I called Indus Travel 2 weeks later and left a voicemail which was not returned. I received a letter from my cc stating I need to provide more documentation since the booking is not canceled. I emailed Rachel again today, 11/15/22 and said I have not heard back from anyone at Indus travel and would AGAIN, like to cancel my booking and be fully refunded. Her response was since I had disputed the charges, this was between their accounting department and my credit card company. I have tried calling the accounting department several times and keep getting disconnected or told they can not transfer me. My cc company can not dispute charges because the booking was not canceled, however if I cancel per Indus terms and conditions, I forfeit my deposit. I have seen the email correspondences between Indus and their partner in Kenya. Not only can Indus not guarantee my booking 75 days out, THEIR PARTNER won’t guarantee it until 30 days out because my booking is only for 1. NOWHERE on their website or your terms does it say bookings are not guaranteed until 30 days prior to departure for single travel. Not to mention I’d have to pay my balance of 1600.00 75 days out for a trip they can’t guarantee. It’s a scam company.

The hassles we went through with Indus Travel, rebooking the trip three times (having to argue to get the same price), and on the fourth attempt to book when they wouldn't give us the trip at the same price we paid, we opted for a voucher instead. About two weeks later the trip goes on sale, so we decided to book using our vouchers, but were charged an additional $10 each to then use the vouchers. A small amount I know, but it's the principle here (they had our full payment for the trip for nearly two years at this point). The communication about our flight changes was poor (I always heard directly from Air Canada first, then had to wait for Indus to tell us our options), and I must have dealt with five different agents over the course of the rebookings, most of whom had some issues with their English. Two of the people in our group of four actually had a $70 credit each after using our vouchers, and Indus even refused to let them use that credit to pay for an add-on to the trip (which was originally part of the package we booked in September 2019) for the four of us. The answer was 'no - voucher values are non-transferable.' So Indus will pocket that money, because neither of these travellers will ever consider travelling with Indus again. The other travel companies I had to deal with because of cancellations due to the pandemic were far more flexible, either refunding our money in full, or offering us vouchers that could be used however we wanted, and transferred to other people if we were unable to go. Dealing with Indus involved a huge amount of wasted time on my part. The trip in Ireland itself was fabulous, but that was totally due to the tour company there, which I would recommend in a heartbeat. However, Indus will not allow me to mention that tour company's name. I am not inclined to ever use Indus Travels again. Plenty of other tour companies out there who offer good prices on organized tours.

Overall the trip was wonderful. The hotel in Kruger was not up to the standard I would expect for the cost of the trip and at best a two star as the other hotels were between 4 and 5 star. Also, I requested two beds when I booked the trip and sent reminders about this and at three of the hotels twin beds were not what we received which meant we had to change rooms. When you are tired and want to relax in your room having to wait around for a room with twin beds to be found and set up is exhausting and upsetting. Also, when I emailed my Indus rep, Ravi, about this issue after my first experience I received an email saying "twin beds were based on availability". Not an acceptable response. However, the tour guide in Johanasburg did ensure the remainder of hotels in South Africa had two beds. But once again, no thanks to the Indus rep.

Thank you (Indus) for arranging our recent travels. We returned from our Magical Douro Cruise and the Marvellous Morocco tour last weekend. We would like to offer some feedback on our travels. The cruise was excellent overall. We were very pleased with the ship, the destination and the meals. The staff were very friendly. Our room was efficient and clean. The entertainer on board was not very entertaining (I know that is not under your control). The scenery along the river is amazing. The optional excursions were satisfactory, but a little pricey, and usually involved a fairly long bus ride with not quite enough time at the destination (about half the time was the ride). The price of the cruise was a good value. We would recommend the cruise to others. We enjoyed seeing Morocco, but somehow we missed out on a day of sightseeing. The Indus itinerary has the tour participants arriving in Casablanca for the first day (day 2, April 17 - day 1 is for the overnight flight to Casablanca). There are no other details of activities for that day in your description, other than being transferred to the hotel. While we did not use your services to book our flight, as we travelled independently in Portugal after our cruise, we did arrive in Casablanca at a reasonable time (mid-afternoon) on April 17. You had advised us of a change in itinerary in advance, and that we would be staying in Fes that evening. The driver, much to our delight, did greet us at the airport and take us to Fez. It was a 4-hour drive. The next morning, we met our tour guide on the bus at 8:15. That day, we were driven from Fez to Rabat, where we had a tour of a few hours, then to Marrakech to our hotel. The total driving time that day was about 7 - 7 1/2 hours. We basically back-tracked the route from the day before from Casablanca to get to Marrakech. We are wondering why we weren't just put up in a hotel in Rabat, and the tour group could have met us there, instead of all that extra driving (Casablanca to Fes, only to sleep, and then back to Rabat and then Marrakech, passing by Casablanca. (Look up the cities on a map if you are unsure.) We asked the others on the tour, and they had visited Meknes and Fes the day before. So we missed out on this part of the tour, despite arriving on the day when the tour began. (Meknes was not in your tour description, but the village of Beni Mellal is.) Our tour guide, Moustafa (I think), from Monarch Tours, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The bus driver was safe and punctual, the bus was clean and comfortable, and the size of the group (9) was a bonus! The hotels we stayed in were all excellent - very clean and spacious, with lovely grounds and excellent food. The optional Fantasia show outside of Marrakech was interesting, but we were disappointed overall. The dancers and musicians were enthusiastic as they greeted us, but there seemed to be an expectation of giving a tip for photos, which seemed unnecessary after having already paid a fairly high price for the excursion. The food was tasty, but the servers did not serve with much enthusiasm. The food was served no earlier than 9 pm,, which I feel was too late for most of us who are not used to eating so late (yes, I realize that there are cultural differences, but I believe that most of the tourists who were present do not normally eat so late). The show itself in the arena seems to have been very entertaining, but it was very dark in the arena (it began around 10 pm, and was not well-lit) and therefore it was difficult to appreciate the riding exhibitions and the belly dancing. So we would say that this show could be significantly improved if done in the daytime, when one could see and appreciate it better. We had 3 nights in Marrakech. The day after our arrival there, we had a full day with Moustafa, and saw a number of sights in this fascinating city. The next day was a full day on our own in Marrakech, and the following day, after our arrival in Casablanca (shortly after noon), we had that day to ourselves, as well as the next day to ourselves. So of our 6 days in Morocco (day 7 we flew home), there were no arranged activities/tours on 3 of the days.(I realize that the Hassan Mosque tour was cancelled, as you had informed us). We felt that we were a little shortchanged on our "tour" of Morocco. Based on what we saw (or didn't see) of Morocco, we would not recommend this particular tour. Sincerely, Sal and Catherine Badali

Indus Travels was helpful in setting up the trip. We went to Egypt. The only thing that Indus could have helped more was helping us understand the extent of tipping. We didn't take with us enough small bills. Consequently, we had to go to ATM's and incur excessive charges and unfavorable exchange rates. In all, however, we did have an enjoyable trip.

We were very happy with the tour guide and the hotels. Our only area of complaint were the airfare arrangements where we had a 9 1/2 hour layover at Heathrow on the way over. There were a least two BA flights from London to LIsbon that day and it was a shame to lose a whole day of holidays in the airport. Also, there was no baggage allowance for checked luggage and it ended up costing us $360 in additional expense that I had not planned for. The airline acknowledged that it is exceedingly rare to book this kind of arrangement.

All was fine except we did not know which dock our ship would be at. When Indus was contacted no one replied for over a week. Not good service.

Indus has always been a 5-star rating until recently. We had a problem with our bank account being hacked. I tried to contact the Indus rep who set up our trip but never heard a response - even after 3 phone calls and an email. When I finally did get hold of someone 10 days later, they informed me the Rep was out on an emergency. What Indus should have done was added to the voicemail the fact the person was unavailable and offer another name and extension to contact. There was no such message and therefore, I was left to believe my calls were being ignored. This caused a problem, which could have been resolved on day one, to be left hanging longer than needed.

I had a wonderful time on my trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. I originally booked this trip before the COVID-19 Pandemic. Throughout all the stress and uncertainty of the pandemic, Indus was a pillar of support. Without an issue, they helped to postpone my trip twice with no extra charge to me due to the closing of the Vietnamese and Cambodian borders. Then, when the time came that the trip could finally happen they communicated professionally and efficiently with me. I am the type of person who, even in normal, non-pandemic times, needs to have everything planned out to a "t". I like to have every single detail accounted for well in advance. As such, with all the extra requirements for travel documents and such that come with traveling in the world as it is today, I was a nervous wreck planning this trip and I messaged my tour coordinator (Ravi) many, many times. Sometimes I wondered if I came off as a very annoying customer for poor Ravi, but during the entire process Ravi was a true professional who gave me all the information and help I required and I truly commend and appreciate his unwavering patience and professionalism. Upon arriving in Vietnam and Cambodia my mother and I felt instantly safe in the hands of our guides. Our tour involved multiple domestic flights across Vietnam and on every leg of the journey our drivers and guides kept us safe and clearly told us what to do and where to go. We had access to clean, American-style bathrooms, clean and delicious restaurants, and were brought to quality establishments to buy souveniers. In addition, all of our guides were extremely knowledgable when touring us through the actual sites and attractions of the tour. It seemed like each day of our tour was an adventure. Every day my mother and I would talk to each other and say "If today alone was the whole trip it'd still be worth it". But then, we'd realize...it's not just today, but several of these amazing days linked together. All of our incredible experiences linking together into one cohesive trip, made this vacation seem almost too incredible to be real. Doing taichi at sunrise in the middle of Ha Long Bay. Seeing the incredibly beautiful pagodas of Hoi-Ann. Trekking through the jungle to see Angor Watt and Angor Tom. These are once-in-a-lifetime experiences I will never forget and Indus Travel helped make them happen. I couldn't be more grateful.

I would rate the trip itself with five stars. But the managing of the trip by the local Peruvian tour companies was haphazard and often unhelpful. The English of some guides was far less than adequate. They did not know what we were doing or when. We never knew on one day what to expect on the next, which was disconcerting, especially when it concerned required COVID-19 tests. But we saw all the expected sites and had great drivers and fine Peruvian food.

I travel, well, probably more than most people. I've used Indus a number of times and have been very satisfied with their "deals" as they appear on my email every week. When I've decided to ask for extras (like arranging for a day before or time after a published vacation offer, or if I wish to upgrade) they have always been helpful in either arranging/modifying my requests, or supplying contact information to allow me to modify my vacation package. I hope that this review helps...

This was my first trip through Indus Travel and I had a remarkable travel experience! It certainly did not disappoint! Tour itinerary was excellent! Although the entire flight was intense due to the unrelenting flight schedule, it didn't really matter because the trip made up for it. It was indeed priceless!

The Mystical Egypt package with INDUS Travel was amazing. Before my boyfriend and I left for Egypt we were in communication with a representative Ravy who helped to update us on the current visa and COVID protocols. He also kindly updated our flight to reduce a 10 hour layover. From there the trip continued to impress! Our liaison in Cairo, Remon, met us with a warm greeting. We waited for other travelers to arrive, but Rey made it such a comfortable wait. On the way to the hotel Rey gave us a full rundown of how we could optimize our trip and familiarized us with certain customs of Egypt. With him, the hotel check in and check out was seamless. When we got to Luxor our guide Ramy really took the trip to another level! He was professional, knowledgeable, and passionate, which added such a personal touch to the experience. He promised an unforgettable experience, and he delivered. He was able to teach us the Egyptian culture with an interactive twist. Anytime we socialized with locals or needed help with a purchase Ramy was always ready to intervene and provide the best outcome. The ship’s crew, on the Nile River, were intuitive and extremely helpful. They clearly wanted their guess to feel special and welcomed. When we returned to Cario, Rey welcomed us back with a warm and sincere greeting. From there we met Omar who was young and ambitious. He helped us check in, go through our tour of the pyramids, old Cairo and the museum, then check out. Having him there was great because if there was any hiccup he was quick to resolve it without complaint. Our guide, also named Omar, filled us in on information during the Cario portion and further enlightened us on Egypt’s past. By the end of the trip the group we connected with felt like an extended family. The guides provided a lot of assistance and played a big part in us warming up to each other and forming a bond. If Egypt is on your bucket list INDUS Travel will make it worth while! I plan to use them any time the opportunity presents itself.

The trip and excursions were good. The information prior to departure was a bit confusion for example I was told not to bring a bathing suit because there was no pool and it wasn’t like a normal cruise BUT many brought a suit and enjoyed the pool.. I would have enjoyed it too if I had the proper attire. Speaking of attire we brought clothing for cooler nights but the evening were still warm - so we overpacked.
