Please stay away from this company at all costs. I have been waiting 30 days for a document that I need to send to my state so I can drive again. I call customer service and you go to agents in a foreign country who have nothing but canned responses. I have spoken to them, and their answer is you will have the document in 24 to 48 hours. You wait two days, and nothing comes you call the next day they say the document takes 3 to 5 business days and they are working on it, and you are in the que, and they can only work in the order they come in on. If you are lucky and you get them to transfer, you to the USA to a specialist and those people say, “I have escalated this, and you will have the document within the next two hours” and noting ever comes. I have been doing this dance for weeks now and there seems to be no way I can get a one-page document that takes 2 minutes to manually fill out. I can’t drive or work until I get this document to my DMV. They basically just lie to you to get you off the phone. If you look at the feedback on “Glass Door” you will see that the employees themselves, say they just lie to customers to get them off the phone because they are so disorganized and they are paid incentives to have the shortest calls. Basically, have had the device on a car I can’t drive now for 45 days and counting waiting for a one-page document to mail to the DMV to get my limited drivers license and go back to work. This company is ruining lives and should be ashamed of themselves.

Horrible, go with lifesafer! They lie about everything, then when there's a problem with the blow and go, they have people that are there to "help" you. They hang up on you, tell you I can't help you. Pretty sure they are overseas ( which is whatever) can barley hear them, they say I can't hear you ans hangup! More than once. The guy I spoke to, Adam, when I first got it in was helpful until the day we had it installed. Then he never answered me again. It'd been 11 months, still waiting for that call back,Adam! About all the lies you spewed. Can't say it enough. Go through lifesafer!!!!!!

Intoxalock Miserable, lengthy and costly experience. Well, there are a few lessons to learn about Intoxalock. 1. Sales will play you as a fool The sales team will sign you up with the warmest of smiles, get you installed, start billing AND NOT TELL YOU TO WAIT FOR THE PROPER FORMAL PAPERWORK FOR THE STATE COURT OR DMV AGENCY TO BEGIN YOUR COMPLIANCE. I was naive enough to believe all was in place and I was acting as a good citizen. My 2-moth obligation turned into 8.5 months of costly payments. Intoxalock was very accepting of my innocence. The state agency said, “You were taken for a fool by the vendor.” BUYER BEWARE. It happens all the time. -state dmv agency 2. Know the DMV & Court rules exactly and compare the two sets of rules. In my case, I followed my lawyers’s advice to get started asap, order Intoxalock, pay all the install fees and start the costly rental $85/mon (plus $10/mo roadside assistance… for what $10/mo device protection fee.. theft?? $2/ sleeve lease) TOTAL $112/mo. Compare this to the $45 fee listed on the website. Unbeknownst to me, my state dmv had a separate process outside the court system. The DMV start date did not begin until after an add’l fee was paid to the agency. I had completed my 2-month Intoxalock BAC testing and contacted the state for license restoration only to learn my start time had not yet begun. Intoxalock was happy to accept the initial 2-month fees PLUS an additional 2-3 weeks of fees to validate your compliance for the state. After all this, I approached the state to learn my start date begins after the check was cashed (7 days later). Now, I’m in 3-months and nothing has started. 3. DUI Device inconvenience impacts safe driving … INTOXALOCK HAS A LOCK OUT SURPRISE. As regulated by the state, the BAC testing is strictly and randomly enforced. If you fail to breath in the device and properly pass the test a few times you are placed into a lock out that requires a visit to the local retailer ($35 fee) with an Intoxalock lockout service fee ($81). What really got me was when my car was turned off. I exited the vehicle. Upon returning, I was notified of a locked out due to not passing the test that was enforced when I was not in a started vehicle. I could not figure out the cause the first time it happened. The second time, I found out when I moved my car out of my garage to the street. Upon returning to the car 20 minutes later, I had in a lock out that required a recalibration and $120 in fees… even after the vehicle is off and you exited the car. Intoxalock Customer Support said that I must remain in my car for 2 minutes after the vehicle is turned off and after the “restart timer” times out. If a new random test request comes up in the gap and I do not positively respond you are placed in a $120 lockout. (I’m actually investigating a class action lawsuit in this matter). 4. The Intoxalock credit card gravy train Once Intoxalock had your credit card. They are amazingly efficient at extracting cash from you. Of course, you are unable to get anyone on the phone to address any charge. Intoxalock improved their cost efficiency by eliminating any customer-friendly customer service access. 5. the never ending lease. CONFLICT OF INTEREST BETWEEN INTOXALOCK AND CUSTOMER To request device removal after serving your time, you must go through an Intoxalock close out / final validation process involving the retailer/installer ($35) and Intoxalock eventually processing the paperwork. I was told to show up 4 days before the final day of my 2-month period ($35). Then told I had to get another final validation AT THE END of the 2-month period (another $35). The processing time is 24-48 hours (1-2 days). Instead it took 18 days. Additional rent payments and service charges were extracted from my credit card before my paperwork was picked up off the floor and shared with the state. THE STATE AGENCY HAD TO A FINALLY CONTACT INTOXALOCK TO GET THEM TO MOVE OFF OF THEIR PURPOSEFUL DELAY. Believe it or not. After 8.5 months Intoxalock is still billing my credit card with blocks by my bank to stop payment , the device is not permitted to be removed and no one besides me seems to care. Buyer beware.

Nasty company filled with nasty people. The entire experience is full of little bs "traps" to screw you out of more money. This company should be investigated as it is a predatory, reprobate organization. Anyone who works at Intoxalock should be ASHAMED.

I would rate ZERO stars if i could! I had an Intoxalock installed for a year. The ONLY positive is that they have service centers all over the place. Everything else about them is HORRIBLE! Customer service?...Good luck! For the sale, they will chase you down and be attentive to you UNTIL you sign up. Then its bye bye customer service. If you can get someone, their mostly overseas customer reps, thay have little knowledge of the issue. Hidden fees?...Absolutely! They charged me SHIPPING COSTS for self removal of the device (I'm an electronic tech, but it's not rocket science), because I guess they couldn't profit off of the service center charge! AND they had all types of small admin fees! WTF!! They lie about waiving calibration date violations due to Acts of God like BLIZZARDS, so that they can get a lease extention on you. VERY disingenuous and unscrupulous company. And the most important fact...you have to blow, suck, blow on their machine RIDICULOUSLY hard to submit a breath sample!!! I mean RIDICULOUSLY!! I felt light headed the first few times I did it!!! Other companies you just have to blow. And they find a way to charge you for everything!! They are grifters praying on our misery and misfortune. Do you know how many times I almost had an accident on a rolling retest having to blow, suck, blow while on a turn, on the highway, at high speeds, on a turn, bridge, tunnel, rain, snow, dark of night, etc??? These rolling retests create an unsafe distracted driver situation in general, but THIS device??? MONUMENTALLY hazardous!!!! Avoid these people at all costs! Or it might just cost you more than some unforseen fees...
