Worst company I have ever had to deal with. No exaggeration. Nothing but problems. Have been hit with false violations on a constant basis, device always malfunctions and drains my battery. Theres no point even trying to talk to the customer service. They're only happy to help when it comes to taking your money. Otherwise theyre extremely rude and hang up if you question them about receiving false bills or violations. This company is an absolute joke. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone ever. Only gave them one star because I had to

This is the second time I’ve been incorrectly locked out by this interlock system, and I’m beyond frustrated. In this most recent incident, I parked my car, ran into a store for a moment, and when I came back out, the device was suddenly beeping and saying I was locked out — despite the fact that I had done absolutely nothing wrong. No violations, no alcohol, nothing. When I called customer service, instead of investigating the issue, I was told I would have to pay a $75 fee to unlock it — and maybe be reimbursed later. That is completely unreasonable. You’re essentially forcing people to pay upfront just to use their own vehicle, knowing full well that we have no choice if we need to drive. What’s even more frustrating is that your system records data, yet when I asked for the situation to be reviewed, no effort was made to actually check the logs or verify what happened. If the data exists, why isn’t it being used to resolve disputes fairly? they’ve been sued for class of action for watching the camera when it's not needed but they won't watch it when we need to prove I'm not at fault? Many of us have already spent significant time and money complying with requirements to get our licenses back. To then be put in situations like this where we are charged for errors that are not our fault feels exploitative. This isn’t just a one-time issue. It’s a pattern, and it needs to be addressed. I would strongly caution others before choosing this company.

Transferred my service from one interlock company to Intoxalock because I needed duel reporting. I asked if they did duel reporting during the initial sales call. Of course they said yes. Installed the device 4/12/2026, I paid $200. I got a call 4/27/2026 saying they installed the incorrect device after I called them and told them the AZ MVD never got the initial contract, on the NM MVD. I was informed by Intoxalock that duel reporting was never submitted. Which that was the initial conversation with the rep, I informed them I was switching over from another company because Arizona also needed reports. Today is 5/1/2026 I had to go get another device installed and paid $300 out of pocket while they investigate the initial conversation. It took me four customer services to even submit a report for the phone call to be looked into. The first three customer services rep didn’t even offer that option. And when I asked to speak to a manager, they told me no. Call the mvd. And when I insisted to speak with a higher up I got transferred to another rep or the call was dropped. Mind you after a 30min wait time. Do you research before committing to a company that is supposed to be a support and help to get on the right track. They are very hard to deal with.

Do not use this service they try and pass the buck and keep you with them! You will get a different answer every time you call. Worst customer service and business that should not be in business. Run far away as possible.

Literally the worst company to work with. They have zero customer service. I’m pretty sure they just expect the customer to give up and cave to their bs!

This company has been a nightmare start to finish! The device is difficult to use. The display screen is red, bright and small so it’s not easy to read. It flashes quickly so limited time to read the display. Customer service is nearly impossible to reach after long wait times on hold. They are uninformative and frequently gave the wrong information. Lock out happens often and they charge a fee every time. Once we finished our compliance getting the device removed was next to impossible. We finally had to get our lawyer involved.

Customer service is very poor (Rosie). I have been hung up on 3 out of the 7 times trying to resolve equipment/installation malfunction. I was promised roadside technical assistance before signing up with this company, but that does not exist. I was stranded twice, once with my young child, and I had to figure it out on my own terms. I was stuck with$700 worth of bills that I am expected to pay before reimbursement is considered even though technicians deemed it equipment/installation failure.

Terrible company all together. Device malfunction, terrible customer service, and the most annoying device to use. Highly unsanitary since you have to suck through the same hole you’ve been blowing into for months

Terrible terrible company. But that’s what they make you want to experience combined with the police….the inconvenience of a dui which I understand but there is a difference between teaching a hard lesson, which a breathalyzer does, and making it a bureaucratic mess which is what intoxalock does. I’ll talk to someone in Malaysia tomorrow about why I got locked out for blowing zeroes all day. Nice work intoxalock!

This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. They charging me for a lockout fee when the device is running random tests when the car is turned off. I am asking the customer service that should I stay in the car additional 5 minutes to ensure it doesn’t lockout me out because it’s running a test after I turned the car off. I am unable to see what there system says to properly challenge. I just don’t understand why the machine would do a test as I turn off the vehicle. I am explaining to the lady does the machine have the logic to do a startup countdown and the test at the same time. Looking at how old these devices are I don’t believe that is possible. To charge me a lockout fee as a result of that is crazy. But this a money grab.

Waste of money and time. Customer service is a joke. What a rip off. Lock you out of your car after it displays you can get out so they can charge you more money. Paying monthly for an update is no fun on top of the monthly cost. 😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Go to any other company. This one will nickel and dime you to death.

I had an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE experience with Intoxalock, and I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. The device itself is unreliable and incredibly frustrating. It failed to register clean breath samples multiple times and even locked me out of my own car for no valid reason. The device drained my battery multiple times- to the point of having to get a jump start FOUR times this winter. My mechanic said that now MY STARTER IS BEGINNING TO FAIL and I will need a new one soon- On that note- I am under NO LEGAL OBLIGATION to keep this device in my vehicle and Intoxalock 100% REFUSES to field my request for removal- CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE. I am unable to get past the hold time- I have been calling multiple times per day for a month, and I SIT ON HOLD FOR HOURS. The one time I actually reached what I think was a human- they "put me on hold for the representative that can assist me".... and the RIDICULOUS HOLD TIME CONTINUED... AGAIN. Overall, this has been a stressful, expensive, and unfair experience. A system that’s supposed to help people stay compliant instead CREATES MORE PROBLEMS than it solves. I strongly urge anyone to look into other options before choosing Intoxalock.

Stay away from this company! They make it easy to to get into a lease and very difficult to get out of. Customer service is an absolute joke. Spent hours on hold trying to get a work order to get it removed. Meantime, they shut the car off for not being calibrated when the calibration date was after the removal date. The device ran the battery down and charged $85 for a device lock out because we had to jump the car. They said it was because of the jump start and the device wasn't put it "maintenance mode". (It had to be jumped a couple of times during the term because this thing will zap your battery and wasn't charged. I looked in the lease but it's buried under other links) They ding you to death with extra charges. They answer right up for installs and drag you to your wits in on removals. I have friends who are attorneys and they said they will be putting the word out to their clients to stay away from this company. There's a reason for their dismal rating.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST. If you find yourself in a situation that requires you to use an interlock device make EVERY EFFORT POSSIBLE to avoid Intoxalock! They are dishonest, their customer service is anything but service. They outsource all service to call centers in India, the operators are not helpful and will hang up on you if they are bothered by your request for customer service...and thats if you are lucky enough to speak with one of these fools. I was on hold for more than an hour on multiple occasions. Intoxalock as well as the states that mandate their use should be investigated for malpractice deceptive billing practices and a system that intentionally ties people to their service. It seems their goal is to keep you bound to their compelled service. They are grifters plain and simple. They take advantage of those uninformed enough to not stay away. DO NOT USE INTOXALOCK!

-5/100 stars. They won't let me take out my device. I had to pay an extra biweekly lease charge. I've set up removal appointments twice and neither one was processed correctly. Now my lease is expiring in two days and I will likely have to pay $150+ to extend the lease, pay an installment fee, and pay the removal fee. How is this legal??
