I got this device put in and immediately had a sales rep answer. One day after the device was installed I was told to call the customer service line for support. I've called multiple different times and have been on hold for 2 hours waiting on a customer service. Don't fall for the trap of the initial quick pick up and friendliness of the rep, worst support line ever.

I co-owned a vehicle that had this intoxalock installed. It's an act of Congress to have this removed! Person is incarcerated, obviously I'm not and still can't get it removed even after emails sending them the title, phone calls, and two weeks of back and forth!! First customer service agent gave me the wrong email to send the title to, imagine that! I wanted 3 days, called back for more runaround and the CORRECT EMAIL! Won't transfer me to a supervisor or manager either, continue to tell me to call back. At this point, I can't even drive the damn car! I'm getting a lawyer! Maybe if I sue this company will get it then!!

Use another company because the customer service is terrible the sales representatives lie to you just to obtain your business. The installation process is a ripoff so please don’t use Intoxalock you will regret it. 0 out of 5 stars DONT DO IT!!!!

Worst company that I’ve ever worked with. Their employees are from outside of the US and many I’ve dealt with can’t speak English that well. My machine has given the shop where I get it calibrated error messages and the employees can’t even resolve the issue. They originally said they would refund me the installation fee, but never did! They lie, just to get you off the phone and leave me waiting at the service station for hours! I wish I would have read reviews prior to getting an Intoxalock, because I would have chosen a different company. It’s ridiculous how much time I’ve wasted due to their incompetences! I would NEVER recommend them to another person! Stay away!

I just watched a video and listened to the audible retest alert. My handheld is not near loud enough. I am 67 years old and working in an extremely loud environment. I do fine at night due to the screen illumination. I will hang my handheld device in the windshield in the future to hopefully see it illuminate. I am almost sure they will recommend i have an extension of my time period due to their faulty equipment.

This company not deserve even 1 star. So bad and rude customer service, doesn't speak proper English! Device terrible, you need to have strong lungs,it's even dangerous to use on the road! Stay far,far,far away please people from this company 🙏

Intoxalock is nothing but a scam. This company filters dollars out of you with their horrible “certified technicians” and terrible devices. I was ordered to have one in my vehicle for one year. I installed it on a Subaru Forrester and within three months the whole vehicle blew up. Electrical, battery, starter and running issues. I had to buy a different car. The vehicle I bought was used, but it passed two different mechanics inspections PLUS the dealership inspection. Within two days of having intoxalock installed my engine light came on. My vehicle was driven, started, etc completely fine for two weeks prior to having this installed. During the rest of my year, my vehicle constantly died, is having trouble turning over, and now I’m having major issues just getting it started. This vehicle was 100.% maintained prior to me purchasing it. It has had every tube up, battery change, oil change and I have all the record for it. Intoxalock has ruined my vehicle. At this point after having it removed off my car for 9 plus months, I can only hope I can find a mechanic to work on all the issues it has caused.

I concur with all the negative ratings provided by previous customers. Since July 11th, 2025, we have been experiencing persistent issues with the faulty device in our vehicle. The machine and the app have consistently malfunctioned, resulting in numerous problems. The customer service department has been consistently inadequate. The paperwork (app) indicates that a calibration is due, while the machine suggests a different date. Consequently, we have incurred additional financial losses due to the vehicle’s inability to start. When we attempted to contact customer service to resolve this matter, we were met with rudeness and overtalking. They failed to actively listen to our concerns. We were compelled to have the calibration performed twice within a two-week period, which was entirely beyond our control. Furthermore, we were forced to have our truck towed twice, which is inconceivable given that we were adhering to all applicable regulations.

The two times I have tried calling them for some help, the first time I was on hold for over an hour and yesterday when I called them I was on hold for over two hours. When this woman finally answered, she was so rude to me and talked to me like I was stupid to her. Customer service sucks! It's infuriating to hold for such long periods of time! We have lives and shouldn't have to wait two hours for someone to answer just to be shut down!

Not happy with the device or the service. I was never made aware you had to blow again before turning off ignition and exiting the vehicle. I was also never told I had to start car every day to keep it from draining vehicles battery causing a lock out that requires a tow to the service center. I was not even able to drive the vehicle until 11 days after installing the device. How can I be locked out when I did not use the device or vehicle since the day of installation 11 days ago.

I have been following all the rules since day one of me getting this IID machine installed into my truck. Two weeks ago I have been getting over charged which is double payments. And it's taking another double payments out of my account. Two weeks ago the IID machine started giving me false alarm of Lock out which was not my fault at all. My name is Paul Robinson and I request for a full complete investigation prior to this matter because this is wrong and I need my money back and I need to have this device removed from my truck right now because my time is done literally on 07/21/2025 . I need a lawyer ASAP I am still waiting on my refund of $114.89 and $63.00 right now as we speak. And today was the deadline to have the IID machine removed but it wasn't removed yet

I have had nothing but issues with the Intoxalock device and have had to have my car towed to the service center multiple times. The company uses refurbished device that are faulty. Costumer service is difficult to communicate with due to a language barrier and they don't have many answers. I would recommend using a different company.

I’ve had the device for 1 day and it has malfunctioned. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced., the rep told me that I had to wait a hour to try to use the device again. I cannot do that I have kids and animals. I was trying to leave work after a 12 hour day. I was told my fee would be $115.00 and they are trying to charge me $162.00. I am extremely upset with this company and it has been 1 day. I want a full refund and I will be going to another company. I now have to miss another day of work due to their faulty equipment

Intoxalock has the worst customer service on earth. The camera stopped working and when I went into the service center to have it fixed I was told that they were keeping my car overnight, even though no none of this was my fault and my car is running fine. I was told that they would have to get permission from Intoxalock to return my car so I can get to work. On hold for an hour.

The customer service communication is horrible I had a mobile install scheduled never got a call from installer customer service couldn’t get a hold of him then end of day customer service lady was supposed to find something else no call back from her I call to get my money back I’m given a run around sent to voicemails ask for supervisor there is none nobody can seem to put one on phone horrible business now I have to rehire my attorney to sue for my 29.99 back plus attorney fees that is bad business

Worst “off shore” representatives anywhere. 25 minutes on hold and after a unsatisfactory conversation, I was hung up on and asked to take a survey. I am a terminally ill man and cannot drive my vehicle to my doctors.

Product functions as advertised but customer service is awful. Almost impossible to get thru to a live agent and their vetting of installation/ service vendors is lacking.

This device gives false positives that cost $80 and notifications to the state. It is so far from perfect and the program, state and company get so much money in fees. The closer you are to finishing the program, the more errors and false positives you'll get.

Waited 40+ mins only to have the guy send the wrong information on the work order now here I am past 2 hours still on hold. No way to get in touch with them online. Even though there app has pictures with a chat option it’s not on there.
