“This company is the worst. I get it, its part of the punishment. I have never had a bad sample with 1 year in the car but still had issues. The device toasted my battery then locked out when we jumped the car. I had to pay to have the entire car towed to the service center. Yes I even submitted a service report prior to jumping the car.”

“The equipment installed kills your car! Drains the power completely from the car battery, the starter, and including the alternator. Intoxalock said you have to start your car evey 8 hours for at least 5 minutes to prevent the car battery from being depleted. Lies!!! I have to start it every 4-6 hours and sometimes that's still not enough. I have a new starter ($748) and new battery. The alternator was new when the intoxalock equipment was installed. I've replaced my battery again ($189) and had to invest in a handheld chargeable battery jump starter ($60). I've been stranded in a hurricane. I've been stranded in extreme heat. It's not safe to have children in the car with this device. The equipment has you retest with new breath samples while driving but what do I do when the 5 minute sync warning flashes counts down to 0 and starts over at 5 minutes, for 10 hours straight. So technically anyone with this intoxalock device could drink alcohol while driving for 10 hours straight without a breath test. I recorded the entire ordeal. But intoxalock and the garage that installed it say it's never the equipment there's something going on with your car. Customer safety is not a priority.”

“This is one of those easy to buy-in companies but a travesty to get out; ie device removal, customer service, live chat and constant lease renewal emails. Then when you get in contact with an actual representative, they are not helpful. They use language you don't know, a vernacular specific to their industry and won't work to help you get to the solution you're actually looking for. But they will ask you if you want to renew your lease or make a payment. Use another provider. Do not use this company in my personal experienced opinion.”

“I had trouble from the start. They installed the wrong device which took a few weeks more and money. I had some days that my car won't start and getting false readings. Now I'm over the time to get the device out and called and set removal up and they have no record of it. They didn't report to the DMV so I have to keep it in longer and of course pay for their mistakes. I haven't drank in 9 yrs or had a DWI since 2014.”

“I paid more money to intoxalock than I did for the DWI itself. That's lawyer fees, court cost, etc. They screwed me every single month whether it be a bogus lockout, or a bogus violation, it was always something. I ended up having it in my car almost 4 months past what my assessment required. This company is a joke and a waste of money.”

“Another false negative blow. Get in my car 6-7 in the morning. Blow and pass. Turn on car. It retest after 5 minutes like normal. Says i failed and counts down while my car is running. Blow again and pass. 50$ they steal. Another 20$ something to calibration thing. That's 2nd false negative. But like 10 or more lockouts, 2 tows ect. They're thieves. Big time. Once you sign the contract they have it set up to where you're basically thier slave for the entire time.”

“Happy is not the right word been threw pure hell cost me thousands sober and haven’t drove in over 20 years was the only way to get my lisence back still in my truck shame on rmv and smart start there taking money from a disabled person I could go one but not wasting my time have one more year next Oct removed if it don’t get removed there willl be a law suite”

“The device is horrible. I am on a reduced rate in the state of mn and the rate to switch the device to another car is 50$. I paid 50 at the service center and now Intoxalock is automatically taking another 50. Called to inquire and was told to go away basically, and it doesn’t matter because It’s auto pay. Can’t wait to get this dinosaur out. There are way better machines and way better customer service elsewhere. They talked a good game in the beginning and it sounded good. BEWARE.”

“Terrible company. Only use if they are your last option. Lies to get you to sign up. Once you sign the lease they won’t let you change service and remove/drop off equipment with out your probation officer letting them know it’s ok. I tried to leave it where I got it and the owner of that business walked outside with the unit dropped it in the street and threatened to call the cops for trespassing. Everyone associated with this company are scum bags.”

“Run!!! I can’t believe this device is approved. The customer service is good, the device itself is awful. It’s large, doesn’t fit in any of my console areas, the tips fall off easily & it’s dangerous when driving at higher speeds. The noise level & the different sounds are like nails on a chalkboard, caused me so much unnecessary stress. I needed to have my vehicle repaired, they don’t have an override option so I had to pay to have it removed which triggered me not being compliant, extra paperwork & steps involved to keep my license in good standing. The good part is I had a device installed with a different company & am very happy! Wished I would have done more research upfront. I went with Intoxalock because the customer service & sales were so helpful and easy to work with. The other carriers didn’t call me back or follow through.”

“Intoxalock is no different than any other ignition device company. I had zero issues ( other than needing to charge my battery, and they ALL do that. ) I did have the JUG-or-NOT cover cup to hide it tho . Made the whole experience kinda unnoticeable.. The device situation sucked but the jug helped me not be noticed by other drivers ...”

“ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOUR BETTER OF WALKING GOT A FAULTLY SYSTEM INSTALLED 2 VEHICLES LATER IM DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY IN 2023 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR WITH 20K MILES AND I GET AN ERROR CODE AND MY CAR SHUTS DOWN. NO STEERING NO BRAKES. HACE THE CAR TOWED TO CAR TOYS AND 1 WEEK LATER THOUGH CAR TOYS SAYS THE SYSTEM IS FAULT INTOXILOCK SAYS ITS NOT PULLING THIS OUT OF MY CAR. WORSE COMPANY ON THE PLANET THE WILL BE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SOON GO WITH LIFE SAVOR”
