“Delivery was late. So ended up with 5 melon pans delivered on the night they where to expire at 8pm.
Edit : Japan centre has contacted me and apologised for the delivery being late and refunded the items mentioned plus shipping. It's nice to see a company do they're best to rectify an issue. Appreciate the fast response and action taken.”
Dear Maria, Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear that your delivery was delayed. Please always feel free to contact us via enquiry@japancentre.com with any issues. We have been in touch to offer a solution for this. Best regards, Japan Centre Online
“Great natto, classic and familiar to many Japanese homes. I personally find this particular brand to have a stronger/bolder flavour of shoyu (soysauce) compared to some others.
Includes both the shoyu and spicy mustard - as expected.
Delivery came with dry ice packaging which kept it cold -- it included instructions for handling as well, so that was nice too.
I typically put them in the freezer and just transfer to the fridge when I know I want to eat it the next day, so they last super long in my experience.”
“I was was happy to have found somewhere in England that stocks these fab rice crackers that I had enjoyed in a trip to Japan recently.
I ordered 5 packs of the 130g snacks.
Post was too expensive really for these tiny snacks and we cannot afford to order more.
We presumed from the photos of product on your website that these heavenly snacks would be the same size as sold in 7-11 convenience stores.
Perhaps your photos need to show how tiny they are in reality.”
“it is frustrating that Japan Centre uses Shipping companies that allow shipping to Northern Ireland, but Japan Centre blocks shipping to post codes in that region at checkout.”
Dear Customer, Thank you for your review. Delivery to Northern Ireland is available, but some products such as frozen goods, chilled goods and our fresh bakery range are excluded, we are sorry to say. Best regards, Japan Centre Online
“Excellent service and source of difficult to find Japanese food items. Will need to use JC again for our repeat orders of Sencha Green Tea with Matcha when my present order is almost finished. Truly the nicest Green Tea we have ever tasted. We cannot stop drinking it. Even our Grand Children enjoy it. Please be sure to always carry this product in Stock. You should promote it constantly. Previously when we lived overseas we ordered it from USA California but they helped us to locate JC London now we have returned home. Please keep up your good service.”
“I haven’t tested it yet.
What I found out is that it’s produced in the USA. Basically it’s not Japanese rice, and it costs £12.49/2.27kg !
Disappointing.”
Dear Jixi, Thank you for your review. Yes, the product in question is a product of the USA, as outlined in the product description and as per the information available via the product picture. We are sorry to hear that this caused disappointment. It is always possible to return unwanted products as per our terms and conditions: https://www.japancentre.com/en/help/refunds-and-returns. “We really enjoyed the Japanese sweets and cakes. They were a lovely texture and the flavours were unusual and delicious. I had bought Japanese cakes as our Book Club had been reading the Japanese book - The Housekeeper and the Professor. The cakes really helped to create the atmosphere. Thank you.”
“My name is Susan Watson, not Wayson. The condition of your delivery of natto was very good. Twice the company had failed to deliver & it wasn't our fault. I was anxious that the product would be spoiled. It was not. They must have kept it under refridgeration because the ice packs were still frozen. So all was well.
Thank you”
Dear Peter, Thank you for your review. We do not show any mails received from your side, we are really sorry to say and we are checking why they were not received. We have been in touch to find out how we can be of assistance. Best regards, Japan Centre Online
“I ordered sake and a loaf of Shokupan bread online. Process was easy and delivery took a few days to arrive. Unfortunately, the bread expired the day after delivery. This was disappointing and it would’ve been better for something with a longer shelf life to have been sent.”
Dear Customer, Thank you for your review. Yes, our fresh bakery items such as the shokupan do need to be consumed in a short time frame due to their freshness, as indicated in the product description. We are sorry if this was not made clear enough. Best regards, Japan Centre Online
