Was not that happy with the service as I when I arrived the plants where not ready and the sales person wanted me to come back tomorrow

Hi Desmond, You arrived before we told you that the plants were ready. You need to wait until we have them ready before you can collect. He did get them all for you then and there though ahead of other orders in the queue so you were not waiting.

Product fine, delivery dumped at door, fake signature on delivery note, complained to garden centre and was assured they would call me back the same day....that was three days ago and haven't heard anything from them. Would not recommend buying online from them.

Hi, Product was delivered fine. As plants are perishable, the couriers are authorised to leave at door if no one is home. I am not aware of the contact by you to the centre regarding the complaint?

I ordered a holly plant. Almost every leaf had brown spots on it like fungus or other disease. Emailed Johnstown with my complaint and included photographs. Didn't even receive acknowledgment of email or offer of refund. Very disappointed.

Hi, I'm very sorry to hear this. We try to respond to every email that is received from customers as promptly as possible so I'm not sure how this was missed. We will look into the issue and respond to your email with a suitable resolution. Please rest assured that this is a very rare occurrence and we are very sorry for any inconvenience.

Rose ordered arrived damaged.sent photos od damaged rose and had no contact from the person in charge.had to follow up myself only to be told its soft growth damage

I was disappointed with courier I was away for five days and there was no call from courier when they dropped off plants which were in boxes. Email sent said if there was no one in then 3 attempts would be made to redeliver plants. Luckily a neighbour opened box for us and watered plants other than that they would have dried out. I would expect courier to phone when there is nobody in to rearrange ddlivery

Hi Alison, sorry to hear about this. We would usually expect customers to let us know if they are away so we can hold off delivery until you return to avoid this. If the courier had held off delivery the plants would have been in a box in the van for days and they would have died so luckily your neighbour could take them in and water them.

Plants took a long time to arrive and we're in a sorry state. I don't think some of them will survive.

Plants are good. Understaffed. Staff that are indoors appear to lack knowledge on delivery options online systems etc. Delivery cost 30 euro after spending over 200 instore distance 5 miles. Cant use gift vouchers on line where delivery would be 4.95. Spoke with manager who really didnt care. Wont be back.

Hi Kate, as explained previously the items you purchased in store are not available for online delivery and therefore the higher delivery charge needed to be applied. They were too heavy to be delivered with our regular internet couriers. Hope you can understand. Happy New Year

We ordered two houseplants and a mist spray. However, the order was delayed in the post and sat in the post office for two days, so that the plants were dehydrated and wilted when we received them. Also, the mist spray we received was not the one we had ordered, which was specifically for orchids. Although it's certainly cheaper and easier than going to the garden centre in person, we won't try buying plants online again.

Hi Henry, Your plants are Airplants that have no roots and take their moisture from the air. They will quickly rehydrate when given a quick soak in water or sprayed with water mist. Apologies for the error with the orchid mist. I think we may have thought you needed it for the airplants and sent the plant mist. A new orchid mist is on its way to you. We hope you see from reading other customer reviews that your experience was the exception

One week after dispatching my silver birch tree,it is still not received. The company might be good,but their delivery service is giving them a bad reputation

You ordered from UK and we are in Republic of Ireland so delivery takes a few days to reach UK

I purchased an Aloe Vera plant and it arrived in poor condition. The plant was actually bigger in length than the box it came in and so many parts of the stems were broken simply because it had been forced into a box that was not big enough. Simply placing the plant side by side with the box would have shown that the plant needed more room.

It is now more than two weeks since I get a "dispatch confirmation" email from the garden centre. Nothing has arrived. An email failed to elicit any response. I wonder how I can get my money back.....

Ordered with Chris Felco secateurs 7 ,charged circa €95 .Following day changed order to Felco 2 .I was told I would be credited with the difference circa €20 .So far have not received this credit,very dissatisfied . However I received prompt delivery of secateurs . Would you please look into this problem. Anne Freyne

Hi Anne, this was refunded to your account that day, July 21st. The problem must be with the bank. We have emailed you a copy of the refund receipt with the reference numbers so you can contact them. Maybe then you would reconsider your 1 star review ?

Thank you for your email requesting a review, which I would be delighted to write IF my purchase had been delivered so perhaps you should check that out before asking for feedback. I have not received a response from Johnstown Garden to my two most recent emails, which is extremely unprofessional in my opinion. HI Irene, The review request is triggered after your order is dispatched. However once your order arrived in Belfast you advised us that there would be no one at home for another week , so we had to recall the order back to naas. The email could not be recalled as the process had started. We did reply to your emails last thursday advising that we would send again next week for delivery on Friday when you indicated that someone would be home, and I have forwarded these emails again to you tonight. Please note that we have asked for and are still waiting for a local contact number from you to arrange delivery as we cannot deliver with a Spanish phone number. Please provide this number as soon as possible

HI Michael, Apologies but we have an email problem at the present time and did not see your email. The Wolf Moss rake is a multichange tool that needs a seperate handle. You choose the handle length that suits you best . These are available to purchase seperately. Email issue should be resolved tomorrow hopefully.

The website works in so far as i got the product i ordered but found the quality of it to be very poor. Many of the reed strands were damaged perhaps they were stored incorrectly. I wouldn't recommend this product as a screen for a standard apartment balcony. The description was not enough to properly inform me of what i was getting and i would advise anyone not to rely on photos in anyway as these are just standard supplier photos and do not represent the actual product, so in essence the product was misrepresented. They also have been spamming me since with offers and the likes that i did not ask for. I asked for this to stop and if it persists i will complain to the office of the data protection commissioner they would be liable for a fine of up to 30,000 if found liable.

Only one out of the three hazelnut Truffle plants was packed properly and so the other two were out of their pots with soil all over the big box. There was no sign on the box to say this way up or please lie flat which would have helped. As a result of the loose clay in the box the instruction booklet along with the presentation page were soggy, wet and dirty. I was disappointed as I purchased this to give as a gift. It would have better if I collected them I have a photo of their arrival if you wish to see it.

The Birthday Rose bush survived! thankfully. Ordered it and dispatched within two days, can't fault the Garden Centre. Unfortunately the courier company sent it to Galway and eventually to Cork one week later despite 'Live plant' priority, no apologies The plant survived but it didn't arrive in time for a 'special' birthday, a bit disappointing.

Hi Sandie, thank you for your comments and I'm really sorry that the plant did not arrive on time for the birthday. We were not aware at all that the plant never made it to it's destination. I will follow this up with the couriers.
