“What can I say? As much as I love your cakes my experience of delivery is not good. The last time I ordered a celebration cake to be delivered on a Saturday, the cake was damaged before it left the bakery. You informed me if this but because you couldn’t make another cake as you don’t bake on Saturday, you offered me 4 free brownies. I’m afraid I was at a disadvantage and had to accept your offer. On the latest order, the cake arrived. On inspection, it was squashed. It had slid in the box and was hanging over the edge of the board. It was very soft too anc had clearly not been kept in the cool. Luckily my son was able to order another cake from another company which was delivered on Sunday morning. I have sent emails to both the “hello” email and “Nicole’s one with a photograph of the damage. I am very disappointed with your lack of response. And await your reply.”

Hi David, Firstly, I'm sorry to see that your order was damaged when it arrived to you. This is not up to our usual standards and I will be taking this up with our couriers to see what went wrong here and to ensure that the practices we have agreed with them are being followed. I've spoken with my colleague Nicole and we are yet to receive the images of the cake from you unfortunately. I've checked the hello@konditor.co.uk email also but there's nothing there either, so there may be a connection issue here. Our standard practice with damages is to assess the issues and address them with the relevant team before proceeding, but as there seems to be an issue here with receiving the photos, I'm happy to go ahead and process your refund in full for your order. This can take up to 10 working days to go back into your account, but it's usually a bit quicker. Once again I'm very sorry that your experience with us wasn't as good as it should have been. Please rest assured that we do take all complaints and feedback very seriously and we are always striving to improve in all aspects, so this will be looked into to avoid similar issues going forward. “Normally I have a great experience but on this occasion my order wasn't ready to collect and the staff in store weren't aware of my order. Apparently the Grays Inn Road store hadn't sent it over.”

“Lovely staff in Grays Inn road shop. I bought TOFFEE APPLE CRUMBLE AND ALMOND ST CLEMENT CAKE - both were delicious, the toffee apple crumble disappeared very quickly. very buttery and moist, tangy applez.”

“Fresh and delivered promptly ! Had the carrot and pistachio cake which was delicious. The cream was not overly sweet as it typically is with other cakes. The small cake was just right for 4 people.”

“Easy to order and good selection of cakes, not too many not too few. Look great with personalisation. So tasty. If putting in fridge to keep fresh make sure you take out a while before use as ours got very hard in fridge so needed to be at room temp to enjoy at its best.”

“Konditor is the only place I buy my special cakes from. This time I bought the toffee apple crumble dessert and it was amazing. In my opinion, nowhere else competes with the quality and flavour of Konditor!”

“This is the tastiest carrot cake I’ve ever had. Also, my husband’s favourite. The addition of pistachios is a great idea and adds to the texture. The cake is always fresh and remains fresh and moist for days!”

“I am very happy with Konditor, traditionally every year I buy the red velvet cake as it's my mothers favourite. The customer service is great and staff are always cheerful. My only gripe is that the Lemon Chiffon cake has now been discontinued. I really loved that flavour and I'm not keen on their replacements as I dislike berry flavoured things.”

“The yummiest chocolate cake. We ordered the cake on a Monday for a Friday. No fuss, super easy ordering process. Picked it up in store just after they opened at 0800. friendly and helpful through the whole process. The cake looked amazing, well packed up so it didnt damage in the transfer. And the taste was incredible!”

“Cake is brilliant; staff less so. Stood in the Waterloo shop with my husband, being ignored by 3 staff. We were the only 5 people there. Felt that we were intruding on their conversation.”

“I ordered the vegan chocolate and raspberry cake. My friend is allergic to nuts and egg so this was the only cake that I could get. She loved it! A lot of places have "may contain egg" so happy this didn't. It would be good if Konditor did more eggless and nut free cakes!”

“I bought a cake from the shop near Waterloo, in London, and first of all the shop itself makes you want to go inside! The staff is friendly and the products look gorgeous. I got a chocolate cake for a birthday and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend and buy again”
