“Excellent for 6, NOT for 8 If you are about to buy this dining table [6/8 Seater Oval Dining Table, Blutante], consider this: We love the oval shape, but are frustrated by the very tight space between the table legs. Unless you are small and have narrow chairs, you will find yourself in a squeeze. We have now reassembled the table legs "one position over" so each table leg is now only attached with only two screws instead of four. However, as long as you are careful, the weight of the table will keep everything in place. This provides an additional 9 cm space per table leg, almost 20 cm of additional space for the two people (on each side), seated much more comfortably, also offering a comfortable space at the end of the table for 2 additional guests. As we've validated this in daily use, I have drilled and inserted additional threaded screws* to make the change permanent, but you can easily skip this last step. Ideally, the vendor should substantiate its 6/8 positioning by installing those extra threads for all new tables. *) To fix it yourself, search for this online: Wood Furniture Hex Socket Nut Inserts (M6 * 17mm)”

“I found the choice of products offered is good, not huge but good. Homeware and clothes from la redoutte and was pleased with it. However they still charge delivery fee for all orders which is so usually free for at least large orders.Ridiculous! Plus all the items of the delivery don't arrive together, hmm bit disappointing. Please give free delivery for orders above say 50£ which is a common norm now.”

“I placed an order a week ago, after 5 days I called and asked for an update as I had not received an email. The lady said my item had not yet been dispatched but miraculously they arrived the next day. Definite lack of communication from La Redoute although Hermes did text on day of delivery with time slot. With regard to the boots I ordered I do not think they are the best quality as I expected real leather straps as the rest of the boot are real suede. So not actually 100% leather upper as stated. Saying that I do like them and I couldn't imagine the hassle involved in sending them back for a refund. Would I shop at La Redoute again? Given the time taken for delivery in this modern age I would have to say no. Something is telling me something is looming for this company and it isn't good.”

“First order arrived after 5 days, despite a lack of communication it was fine. Second order "prepared for despatch" on 17 October, no updates since then. They use Hermes for delivery and last time I didn't even get any update email from them until the day of delivery. 5 days after an order with no change in order status or delivery news is just too slow in this day and age. This will be my last order.”

“The best of La Redoute is that offers some classic, basic clothing with plenty of natural materials, thing that is more and more difficult to find, especially in women knit clothing. Shops only give as synthetics, no buttons, no pockets, etc. It is just unacceptable, they would never do this with men clothing.”
