About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Jetzt beginnt die Zeit in der Gummistiefel genau richtig sind. Ich habe mich für die Le Chameau entschieden, weil sie schön hoch sind und tolle Farben haben. Mittlerweile habe ich sie auch schon testen können und kann sagen, dass sie sehr bequem sind, es gibt immer noch genug Platz für dicke Socken und tun das was sie sollen, die Füße blieben trocken 🙂 Wenn ich nochmal welche benötige, werden es bestimmt wieder Le Chameau.”

“Just received mine. I had great expectations of these wellies, but am a bit disappointed as they are so narrow. Even with the gusset I think I'll struggle to get jeans, thick welly socks and waterproof trousers into them.”

We do offer a range of boots which are available with a variety of calf widths. These may be more suitable for yourself, to guarantee the perfect fit. “One of the worse costumer services I had to deal with. I exchanged a few emails trying to understand the sizes that would fit me better. Then I called and wasn’t able to talk to anyone. A person called me later, but hung up on me when I was trying to explain my case. Very frustrating experience :(”

“Bonjour, j'ai été tres décu par cette paire de chaussure. En effet, cette taille 44 doit avoir un gros défaut. Elle est trop petite pour un 44. Il doit y avoir une erreur de fabrication. Si je la mets, j'ai tres vite mal aux pieds et particulièrement au pied gauche. Ce qui ne m'était jamais arrivé avec un 44. Que puis-je faire maintenant ? Cordialement Arnaud de Louvencourt, France”

“In December 2018 I purchased LADIES CHASSEUR NEOPRENE LINED BOOT. These have a good fit and are easy to walk on. After three years the sole of both boots developed a crack and my feet have been getting wet ever since. I can show pictures of it.”

“I wear my women's VIERZONORD NEOPRENE boots pretty much all winter here in Minnesota. With a good wool sock, I am warm and dry unless it's well below zero. As a contractor I am on job sites and out in people's yards all the time. I love being able to just walk through snow drifts and feel safe on slippery walks with these high shank and excellent treads. The style is unbeatable and I can wear them from Fall through Spring. Comfortable to walk in as well. Soft, easy to get on and off. I'm very glad I bought these boots!”
