Seventy percent of our business last year resulted from repeat customers and referrals mostly of which were from family member to family member. I got a camper shell on my truck and got home and my light bar was not working under my tailgate. I got under my truck to see why and all my wires were just hanging so I had to repair the wiring they did and strap it up properly. Now I have to take my truck back because they installed my shell crooked and it has rubbed the paint off my truck. The window was not put on correctly from the factory and the paint is chipping. They are fixing everything but have to send the shell back for two weeks and will not give me a cover for my electrical in the bed of my truck. So I am now buying one for them to install while they fix my paint and wait for my shell to come back. I’m just worried about my wiring now and what they will mess up next they are all about production and getting people out not quality!

Significant damage to my landscape/yard resulted from a storage building delivery. After addressing the matter with the owner, absolutely no attempt to correct the matter took place ('I wasn't at work yesterday' was the response I received).

Customer service at the location on Wade Hampton Ave in Greenville SC was horrible! I will never buy another Leonard product again. They couldn't answer any of my questions after I had made my down payment on my 12x24 building I purchased. They also botched my delivery date and gave me some lame excuse that their driver hurt his back. The driver that replaced that guy didn't level my building properly and had to wait a week for a guy to come back and fix it before I was comfortable with storing stuff in it. There were also dents and dings on the sheet metal and broken wood on the lower foundation wood frame. I would think as much as I spent on this building they would ensure it was in pristine condition.

I had a bed cover and spray in liner done. It was raining when I picked up my truck, the next day when I took a look at my truck I found scratches on my truck, looked like they had drug a air hose across it. The cover had something white on the side, it wasn't paint but whatever it was took a lot of work to get it off. They also told me it would be waterproof but it is not waterproof. The price was right! I was disappointed, I just expected a professional job on my new truck.

To be honest I'm not sure what kind of rating to give. The Staff is very friendly and somewhat helpful; however, we placed an order on 01/30/2019 for a shell for our 2018 Colorado truck and we were told that color matching was not a problem. It is now 05/22/2019 and we still don't have the shell because they cannot seem to color match it. The shell has arrived 3 times the wrong color. We have been continually told by staff that they are waiting to hear from Leer. However, nobody is keeping in touch and informing us of what to expect or what is going on. The last time we stopped by Leonard the shell was still sitting on the lot, 3 weeks after the last repaint, waiting on a decision from Leer; however, nobody called to tell us that. Had we not stopped by, I believe that nobody would have called us. We were told at that time we were waiting again to hear from Leer. We are currently at a loss as what to do. I believe that if the staff at Leonard would keep us informed, it would not be so frustrating. We are going to give it another couple of weeks and see if we hear from anyone. So we'll see.

Shed appears to be good quality. They stood by a couple of repairs that needed to be done. The installer was excellent. However, their was a lack of coordination between Leonard's and the delivery service. They did work with me and we made it work in an acceptable matter, but it was questionable for a bit. The biggest complaint I have is the shed was a foot smaller on one side and six inches smaller on the other. At first, they claimed it was immaterial and were not willing to prorate it. A month later when they realized I stilled owned the the last 25 percent payment, they were a little more willing to prorate it in order to get their final payment. I might would use them again, but next time I will be much more likely to shop around first.

On December 31st 2018 my company purchased a 16ft 2019 Arising enclosed trailer (Model # 716VTRB) After 2 days, my vehicle fuses began to blow when the trailer lights were hooked up. I brought the trailer back to Leonard and Roger began to trouble shoot the issue. He found an uninsulated wire had been left loose when the manufacterer wired the brake lights and it was intermittently shorting out. A few days later I was performing a brake gain test and noticed the brakes were not fully engaging when gain was set to 10…even with an empty trailer. Brought the trailer back to Leonard and he began troubleshooting. He found the brake wire on one side was never connected at factory. He then connected the wire and the problem was corrected. Less than a month later when the outside temp finally broke 60 degrees I noticed the panels on the side of the trailer facing the sun would buckle. Not just waves….they were extremely buckled and looked horrible. It has continued to do this ever since. Around the same time I noticed rust stains on some of the exterior paneling around the screws. Upon inspection I found during manufacturing somebody had left the heads of their broken bits in the heads of the screws. This was the case for about 5 screws. Overall i feel this company performs sloppy work and lacks basic quality and safety checks. I would not reccomend these products to anyone nor will I be making any future purchases.

Customer service was great; however, water entered the back from the lip of the cover and damaged some of my items.

Cap had broken light when I got it and took very long time to get it replaced. Quality of Leer caps I am not impressed with, I have had two of them in past ten years and quality of ARE cap I felt was much better.

I went to the dealership in Goldsboro NC to purchase a trailer. The first trailer I chose had a broke tail light and damage to the left side fender. I chose another trailer and got home and found that the tailgate hinge was broken when I let the gate down. After returning back to the dealer and showed them the gate I was told that it couldn’t be welded there and it had to be sent back to the company. I ask why they don’t check their products before they sell it. After trying to get me to accept another trailer unlike the one that I wanted and pay a higher amount (which I refused) the manager said he had a friend that could weld it if I left the trailer and come back the next day to pick it up which I did. Very disappointed with this dealer.

I recently purchased a cap for my truck.Love the cap, however I had to bring it back 2 times, 1 because the remote hatchback lock would not work consistently, it still will not unlock in cold weather. The back window had the gasket replaced, still leaks. I would bring back, however not sure if they know how to fix it correctly. Thank you.

Purchased from Leonard based on reputation. Staff at the shop were nice and very helpful. End result on building less than satisfactory; I will not be a return customer. 1- Door was hung crooked, leaving gaps. 2- One side of roof shorter than the other, off center noticeably. 3- Loft was hung with one side VERY visibly off-level, obviously nailed up there in a hurry with no regard. 4- Some OSB used in floor obviously had holes, was patched and painted over. 5- Screens in windows had tears in them. For $5k, a person expects more than sloppy work and scrap materials. Next time I will shop for shipping containers instead.

Dear Mr. Pack, I’ve known of Leonard Buildings in Asheville for many years having grown up in the area. So when I went looking for a truck bed cover I stopped in to check on what Leonard’s had to offer. I ended up buying the Bak Revolver X4 due to its feature of laying flat and rolling up. My trouble started when I went into to have it installed! Thereafter, EVERY time it rained my bed got wet!! I went back 3 times for repairs and it STILL leaks. Not only was this quite frustrating to deal with by itself, but we were in the process of packing up to move to Washington state and I needed a dry truck bed to use in the move but that didn’t happen! Early in this process I had advised your Asheville personnel of my moving schedule, but that didn’t seem to affect their performance of correcting my problem. In fact, I don’t recall any Leaonard personnel actually apologizing for my having this problem of a leaking truck bed cover or for having to come back numerous times for corrective action. So here I am having moved to the Pacific Northwest in late 11/18 with a truck bed cover that not only leaked during our 3300 mile trip but continues to leak when it rains which is quite a lot! If nothing comes of this review then I guess my next step is to complain to BAK for resolution. Thank you for requesting this review. Sincerely, Bill Hamby

I bought a topper several months ago, but they said that the factory forgot to install the pet screens I ordered. They said that the factory would have to send them later. I called every few weeks, but they never came in. Hopefully I am finally getting them installed soon. Unfortunately I did not have them for a trip that I had planned, and had specifically purchased the pet screens for. I had to leave the dog and pay kennel fees. Very disappointed.

Things have changed at the Wilmington store. The service and Quality have taken a nose dive. I have known Scott for some time, it seems he is very limited with personnel , After 5 weeks of waiting for a topper that I ordered I have to wait another week or longer for it to be installed. When I called back(2) DAYS LATER to advise of a leak (buddy) tells me you have to wait another week or so just for some one to look at it, (really) I purchased the truck in another town where the Leonards store was going to get the topper and installed in (3) weeks, but I know Scott and was trying to stay local so I ordered with him..I hear mumbling and groaning from employees that they are over worked, no time off, either get more employees or more efficient ones . Disappointed in this whole deal . Scott does have a window on order now.

I'm satisfied with my trailer purchase, but follow-up customer service is lacking. I've called 4 times inquiring about my certificate of origin...it's been over 2 weeks. Currently I own a $3600 yard ornament since I can't register the trailer and get tags. Robert 910-624-1376
