Seventy percent of our business last year resulted from repeat customers and referrals mostly of which were from family member to family member. We take pride in serving and taking care of folks as if they were our family.

Terrible experience , I ordered a cap for my truck in March of 2022, cap was installed a month later and one of the window seals was damaged, also cap was dirty from open transportation from factory with road salt stains all over it, they did not care. New window was ordered and 3 months later it arrived and would not fit, a total replacement truck cap was ordered and finally in January of 2023 it arrived and was installed. I have to say during all of this experience I was not never called regarding updates on my purchase, I had to constantly call down to Leonard to ask were my cap was. How Leonard is in business treating customers like this. Bad Bad customer service, my truck cap cost $3500 which I paid up front.

Do not buy a Leonard trailer! They will not honor the warranty! I purchased a 6 x 12 Leonard cargo trailer in 2021 from Leonard Buildings &…on Wade Hampton Blvd. in Greenville, South Carolina. I will say the experience was less than pleasant. I picked up the trailer they did not even put air in the tires before I picked it up. Unfortunately, I figured this out while on the highway and a tire blew out after I traveled less than 10 miles. The tire that didn’t blow only had 12 pounds of pressure. So I got a new tire and seven months later one of my customers noticed the tread on one of the tires was completely worn on the inside while the other tire had not worn. I took the trailer back up to Leonard. I thought there would not be an issue having it fixed. After all I had the trailer less than a year. The manager measured the axle & said it was off 1/4”. So it was a manufacturer defect that caused the tire wear out. The manager said they’re not going to warranty it because they’ll say I hit a pothole or something. The fact is I never hit any potholes that could cause any type of damage to the trailer. I informed him that before I purchased the Leonard trailer from him I had a Lowe’s cargo trailer for 20 years (I must say that Trailer went through a lot of wear and tear). However, never did I ever have one single problem with the very inexpensive Lowe’s cargo trailer. I told the manager that the reason I purchased an expensive Leonard trailer was because I wanted it to last a very long time so I paid a premium price thinking they were a reputable company that would also be an honorable company (I WAS WRONG). The manager and I both spoke with corporate, showed them pictures… they did not care. So the only option I had is to purchase a new axle from them and have it installed. The only thing the people at Leonard (even at the corporate level) care about is selling trailers they do not care about their customers or customer service…Unfortunately Leonard does not care about honoring their warranty’s. I would highly suggest going with a different company. Craig C. Greenville SC

I wanted a Leonard Utility trailer because of the brand quality. I applied on the Leonard USA website, where there are pictures of utility trailers with Leonard signs on them and where the part number for the trailer is a Leonard part number. I was contacted by a company representative: I told him on the phone that I wanted a LEONARD trailer. He did not tell me there was NO Leonard trailer. NOW he tells me that Leonard stopped making utility trailers in 2015. If I wanted a Carry-On utility trailer, I could have gone to Lowe's or Tractor Supply. As a 66 year old woman on Social Security, this was a major purchase. I used the 12 months interest free plan: I have 3 payments left. I am appalled that a salesman was so desperate to sell a utility trailer that he would deceive a customer to this extent. I have filed a complaint to the state of VA consumer affairs.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS A SERIOUS JOKE!!! Order nerf bars for truck. Verified them by calling personally before ordering and the sales associate verified them. Placed the order, recieved them and they were wrong. Their return policy says you only have 5 days to start the return policy from the day you receive the product. I sent a email 2 days after I received them and I still have not been contacted. Not to mention have left 2 voicemails with no return call either. It has now been 10 days and nothing. Even their dealer stores don't know how to do their returns!! My next stop is calling the BBB tomorrow and report them. It's their mistake and now they won't contact me like they say to get this return started. BEWARE...SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!

I wish I had never heard of "LEONARD" !!. I purchased a tonneau bed cover for $3500 with lifetime limited warranty, it came in with wrong color, it took two months for replacement. The latch on the left side broke and I was told that was not covered. I purchased bed rug $350 that was cut 1/2" short and was told grey spray paint would cover it up. The rain shields had to be replaced when the window was raised, it hit the shield then retracted. So far the mud flaps have worked properly.

I bought my truck cap along with weather tech floor mats both front and back, and a rubber mat for my truck bed back in 2017. Recently the light in the Leonard bed cap light quit working. I took it in and they completely rewired the system and now it works perfectly and they didn’t charge me a dime. I will definitely do business with them again.

My company bought a camper shell for our work truck from the Garner store. Shelly and the staff in Garner were great to work with. Highly recommend them for your truck and trailer needs.

Learned a valuable lesson, after being upset about an appointment that I was suppose to have, I showed my butt, and was unprofessional, but Shelly the store manager listen to my wrath and proceeded to still show me great customer and listen to why this appointment was needed today, she went out of her way to help me and no only that she never lost her cool and gave me a discount with a smile. Lesson to me don't be the bull in a china shop, because an Angel could be waiting to help you. Thank you again Shelly💕🙏

I had seen the buildings online and went to the Raleigh location to see for myself their quality, and I was not disappointed. The store manager Shelly was very professional and very helpful. She didn't try to upsell me on anything like so many other places and you can't beat their warranty. I definitely recommend Leonard Buildings.

Ordered a 14x20 metal building. Was delivered quickly. Placed with only a few blocks and one set of blocks was sitting on top of a piece of WOOD ON THE GROUND ! Blocks not lined straight and none under the double barn doors on both sides. They came and sorta fixed blocks. Spoke with Mt Airy, salesman was not helpful that I purchased from in Winstonsalem. Sent out “repair person” to fix several issues, screws missing, shutter not screwed in correctly, doors have gaps underneath. Top metal is bend, on right top of building. Repair person was unable to fix issues. Was to return and do repairs. Now been few weeks and NO COMMUNICATION AND STILL WAITING TO USE BUILDING. I’m disappointed with Leonard because bought another building 2 years ago with no problems AT ALL. Workmanship has declined and poor customer service.

I purchased a Piedmont building from Mt.Airy location and had additional windows put on both ends. First time it rained there was water in the floor. After inspecting the windows we noticed none of them were sealed. They sent a tech up to calk the insides (you could actually see light around them.) A few days later it rained and the same thing happened! I took pictures and emailed them but did not get a reply. We ended up removing all the shutters and sealed the windows ourselves. Guess if you want something fixed right it’s best to do it yourself.

I was going to purchase a trailer from this company; however, after reading all the bad I've changed my mind. Tractor Supply here I come!

These trailers are built to fail. They use T clamps for all their electrical connections which are not waterproof and will allow moisture inside and corrode the wires after time. One already popped off mine I’ve had it a week. No point in taking it back for them to put the same junk on it. They mount the spare tire right in front of your swivel Jack so you can’t spin it 360 degrees. Hits the tire at 180 the. You gotta flip it and do another half turn. Takes 20 mins to raise or lower the thing. They mount the lights right in front of the gate handles blocking their view. They let my gate slam inwards putting two holes in my outside floor boards. Two other boards are bowed and crowned like a banana (they agreed to replace those) but I’d rather them give me the boards and I’ll do it myself. I have to tear the entire trailer apart to rewire all these junk connections anyway. They didn’t scrape enough paint off for the ground connection so that lost connection bouncing around I had to fix that. $3000 and I have to basically rebuild the entire trailer. The license plate mount is pointless because the tag won’t fit on it. It’s not offset enough and hits the cage preventing the holes from lining up. So I’ve already re mounted the spare tire, changed about 10 of those connectors. Still have more to go.. The customer service part was great. Shelly was amazing at the Raleigh location. It’s the build quality and execution I have issues with. They’re built cheap and fast not made to last. How someone could inspect this thing and sign off on it blows my mind. I’m extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in Leonard. No way I would ever buy another trailer from them. I wish I could return it I’d do it in a heartbeat 100000%

I purchased one of the 12 x 24 building's in 1997, have not had to do anything to this building in the 25 years I have had it, no leaks no problems. One of best purchases I have ever made.

Took my enclosed trailer their to see if they could repair the damage from cutting the turn to tight caving in the diamond cut steel platting and aluminum siding. Was assured they could and there was no problem. Ordered the material ...which was promised in a week .... but came in 3 weeks late... when the material finally arrived I happily dropped off the trailer to be repaired. Unfortunately, when I picked it up ... they explained they did have the right tools to do the repairs .... and had not been able to order all the parts needed. I dented 1/4 inch solid diamond cut steel ... they replaced it with 1/16 flexible diamond steel ... Frankly, the damaged area looked better then the repaired area. I would have thought they would have told me about their limitations when I was standing h there initially for the inspection of repairs. I would not recommend this company for repairs.

I custom ordered an outbuilding in mid-July and just received it on October 1st. I was told that it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery, but ended up waiting TEN WEEKS. Absolutely no one from Leonard contacted me to explain the reason for the late delivery. When my building arrived, it was the WRONG COLOR. When I called to question the mistake, I was told that it was MY FAULT. I specifically took a piece of paper with the paint color needed when I ordered the building and the salesman supposedly put that color into the ordering system. Leonard said they would repaint the building at a cost of $475. The salesman said that a lady in the home office wanted to CHARGE MORE, but he talked her down to $475. You would think that when you invest THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in a building that they would make sure that every single detail is correct and not send you a product with even the slightest problem. You would think that if there was a problem that they would agree to fix it. Disappointed!

When buying a building from these people, they deceive you and not tell you that you’re paying a rental fee while you’re buying( said it’s in the contract), which is 45% of your monthly payment, just paid 8 grand for a building that was originally $3500. Read your contract people because they will not go over it with you. When you call in to get a payoff, they give you the run around. I will not recommend this business to anyone.

Took my truck in to have both front windows tinted and I thought they done a good job up till 3 days later I could lower my windows. There is about a half inch gap at the top of the windows that weren't touched with tint.Really sickening to see when the windows are lowered.Stay away from their tinting because it sucks and now I got to have someone to take it off and do the job right.

This place has the worst business I have ever dealt with. The store located in bristol va had told me when I ordered my headlights that it would be 3 to 4 weeks to get them. I called after 5 weeks because I had not received any notifications and was told they hadn't shipped yet to give it a couple more weeks...flash forward 6 MONTH'S! I call and I was told the headlights had arrived. My wife goes to pick them up the next day and they are no where to be found in the store. Long story short, I got my money back and will never deal with this place again.
