About Leonard Truck Outfitters:

Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a privately owned retailer, manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers and accessories, carports, playhouses, pet and animal structures, gazebos, and outdoor furniture. We serve our residential, commercial and government customers through our 59 factory outlet stores in the five-state region of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee.

Seventy percent of our business last year resulted from repeat customers and referrals mostly of which were from family member to family member. We hear a lot of this: "I am here because when I was growing up my grandfather had a Leonard building in his backyard . . ." We take pride in serving and taking care of folks as if they were our family.

Over the years, our company's focus on quality, craftsmanship and customer service has allowed each of our company-owned stores to be integrated partners in their local communities. We encourage employees to look for ways to make a difference around town and to help out worthy causes.

“Visited Leonard's off 360 because I'd seen they were a Decked dealer. I placed order and despite the sleet storm of 2026, the system arrived in 3 days just like Brian said. The morning I arrived to have them install (temps were in the teens and I didn't have a big enough garage), they had pre-assembled as much as they could without the truck. I was out of there in less than an hour. The lead tech (Mike maybe?) was a solid guy that went over what little there was to go over, and I was out the door.”

“5th Wheel rails installation I would not recommend. First off, I had to drive 26 miles each way to sign a waiver for them to cut 2 slits in the bottom of the truck bed, which it tells you to do. When I picked up my truck the 4X4 did not work. After hours of troubleshooting I found a blown fuse. After further inspection I found that they drilled into the wiring harness that caused the problem. No mention of any issues when I picked up the truck. The front outside brackets are clearly marked, passenger side and driver side. They were installed on the wrong side. Step 1 in the instructions that I provided says; On the inside of the left vehicle frame is a wiring harness that is held in place with plastic clips. This section of wiring harness must be moved aside by removing plastic clips from frame. This will allow the hitch parts to be positioned cor-rectly on frame. Update; Kyle, the store manager called me on Monday 9-15-2025. He said his technician did not drill into my wiring harness and wanted pictures. He also stated that if they had done that, they would have told him and me. Well , I sent him the pictures. Kyle said he had to send them to corporate, not sure why? The wiring was not damaged when I dropped the truck off. Now it is. Who is responsible?”

“I had a spay on bed liner done today and I am very happy with the result. The guy that actually did the spray spoke to me and showed me what he had done. He was very helpful and did a great job!! It was a good experience from start to finish. Thank you”

“They are very friendly and knowledgeable they explained things well and had very quick service from time I ordered to installation. They also have good variety of products so you can make an informed decision. I would highly recommend them. Doug was my salesman. We purchased a truck bed cover and side steps.”

“Delivery and setup went brilliantly. Very satisfied with my Bldg. Just paid it off today. A special thank you to Virginia S. in the payment and Billing Dept. I experienced about 6 months of hardships prior to payoff and she has been an absolutely HUGE help in working with me. God bless you Virginia S! I have MS and have had some bad days. I’ve been downright rude to this girl, but she’s always been a lady about it. She graciously accepted my apology, and has SO helped when I hit a financial snag in the road. SHES an angel! Thank you so much Virginia for handling the situation with such professionalism, as well as kindness! Ones like you are few and far between. Best Wishes Always! Trisha Ward.”

“I would not suggest this place. I needed a goose neck ball in my truck. They ordered it and set up to put it in two weeks After I paid. The morning they were going to install at 9 AM. The guy calls me at 5 minutes till and cancel. My truck is already sitting there. Said they would call to reschedule. 5 workdays later I called to see what was going on. The man tells me he don't know why they have not called me. Then he proceeds to schedule me over a week later. I said I should have been the next one. Now You're telling me another week? I won't my money back. I will see in the morning if this is going to be a hassle, or A knock down drag out or what. 4 weeks later is not acceptable. I work with these trucks and nobody is buying my groceries.”

“Had them to install an Airlift system on my truck, 2 years later it stop working. I made an appointment for them to repair the pump which they did and at NO Charge....WOW what great service. Please visit them for any truck service or up-grades,”

“Purchased an Ultra Flex bed cover with warranty May 16, 2023 from Leonard in Blacksburg VA. The seals on rails have cracked. When I took back to Leonard all I got was "We can't help you, you'll have to contact the warranty company, UnderCover. I called and emailed, no response.”

“Yesterday was our first visit to Leonard Truck Outfitters in Nutter Fort and we highly recommend them. (We would give them "6 Stars", if it was an option!) We went to buy a trailer from Leonard because of the attractive and competitive pricing: but got SO much more. Everyone at the Nutter Fort branch gave us excellent service, all were friendly and knowledgeable and they took care of unforeseen details like the pros they are. Dealing with the people at this location is an absolute joy.”

“Talked to someone about getting a B & W fifth wheel hitch installed. He said I had to come in to make a deposit on it. Could not take card over the phone. Why not??? My wife and I drove there to make deposit ( we are about 45 minutes from there) When we get there the guy we talked with on the phone is not there and no one knows nothing about the hitch I want. The person we talked with did not leave any information. Drove all the way there for nothing!!! Got the hitch somewhere else. Do not recommend!!!”

“Highly recommend Leonard on Raeford Rd! Great overall customer service and knowledge for my truck accessories. But I experience a minor issue on the duration waiting for my running boards to arrive. However, kudos to Dustin and his guys for their professionalism they did an outstanding job installing my running boards and window deflectors. JB”
