About Leonard Buildings & Truck Accessories:

Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a privately owned retailer, manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers and accessories, carports, playhouses, pet and animal structures, gazebos, and outdoor furniture. We serve our residential, commercial and government customers through our 59 factory outlet stores in the five-state region of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee.

Seventy percent of our business last year resulted from repeat customers and referrals mostly of which were from family member to family member. We hear a lot of this: "I am here because when I was growing up my grandfather had a Leonard building in his backyard . . ." We take pride in serving and taking care of folks as if they were our family.

Over the years, our company's focus on quality, craftsmanship and customer service has allowed each of our company-owned stores to be integrated partners in their local communities. We encourage employees to look for ways to make a difference around town and to help out worthy causes.

“Dakota and Chris were amazing they helped us make a great decision on the trailer and gave great insight on how to operate and set things up safely. I recommend leonards for all of your trailer and storage building needs. My family has been doing RTO with leonards for years and they haven't failed us yet. 5 star service and quality products. “I've had two opportunities to deal with Leonard's Truck Accessories. First, I was looking for a pickup truck box cover. They went over several options with me and eventually helped me pick the right one for my truck. The price was great and the installers were very professional and did a great job. Just recently, I purchased a grill guard for my 2017 GMC Sierra and was looking for someone to install it for me. I called Leonard's and they said they would be happy to install it for me and actually got me in the very next day. Again, they were very professional and did an excellent job and the price they charged was the best deal I found anywhere. I'll definitely return to Leonard's for any future job or products that I may need that they offer.”

“They brought my building when the ground was saturated but the delivery man drove through the yard and made a tremendous mess out of my yard deep ruts everywhere so far Leonards has done nothing to correct this problem and I mean I have some big big ruts and a big big hole in my yard I will never buy another building from them”

“We just bought a shed from Leonard's. Payed full price for a new building. While I was paying for it one of the employees was calling around to find one in stock somewhere instead of having it built which should be fine...it wasn't. I don't know how long this "new" shed was sitting there but parts of it are bent/broken/rusted/etc. While I was looking at them the person I was talking to pointed out that they extended the roof over the door a bit in the new ones...my new shed doesn't have that. Now that wouldn't bother me except that the door is bent so doesn't close all the way, haven't had any rain yet to tell for sure but it sure doesn't look like it will be keeping the rain out. The fact that I bought a new building, never got to look at it until it was here (not to mention had made arrangements to be here during the delivery but they were 2 hours late so I had to leave for work), find that it looks like a repo, and yet I payed full price ticks me off just a little bit...I even told them it is no hurry. This place is crooked, don't spend your money here.”

“Well, Well, My wife dropped the Grand Highlander off for the 8TH TIME!! for the trailer lights, after they told us they needed a new part (due to the wiring melted across the muffler after they installed it). When she returned home she said they told her they installed the part its all good now. after she arrived home couple hours later my suspicion was to try it. I did on 2 different trailers, 1 of them 6months old Kaufman landscape trailer, GUESS WHAT?? they have the turn signals backwards. Thats what I brought it in for 2 months ago!! They NEVER test anything before it leaves. I will Never recommend these people to anyone. I wish the owner would contact me. there are more details he should know about 252-767-2705”

“Absolutely deplorable customer service riddled with lies. I ordered a building, which had to be built. I originally bought the building with their financing however I have never received my payment book or email from corporate. I will be paying the building in full by the end of this month and within the 3 month time table. When I contacted corporate regarding purchasing a building I was told Leonard had just purchased Cook's buildings and they (Leonard) were working through the acquisition issues as well as prior employees destroying electronic files. I found out today, 5 May 2024, the acquisition was two years ago. My original delivery was never scheduled. The driver contacted me stating he was on his way with my building nor did he want to move my original building as was agreed to during purchase and put in writing. I was then told my delivery was going to be one of two days Leonard would pick to which I gave the ultimatum either my day or refund my money. My building has finally been delivered but not without undue delays and damage. Buyer beware Leonard is NOT an upstanding company. I've seen, through a microscope, single cell amoeba exist with more efficiency. To end this on the positive note local sales rep, Keenan of Pace/Milton, has been upfront and apparently honest and surprised that in almost 3 months I haven’t heard from anyone at Leonard regarding payments.”

“Want to give an excellent rating to Billy at the wake forest Leanords. I was having a terrible time getting electric brakes on my ford expedition from the ford dealer and Billy was very patient and had a fix for me within minutes. I highly recommend this location. Ask for Billy.”

“Leonards installed a hitch on may car. The team was friendly, professional and communicated well throughout the process. They answered my questions and worked around my schedule. I didn’t have leave the car all day as one place required. I arrived at our scheduled time and about an hour later I was on my way. They took the hassle out needing a hitch installed and made it a super easy process.”

“My wife Mary and I (Kelly) were looking for a new trailer. We looked around different places and then came to Leonard's of Jacksonville, NC. They have very friendly and polite people working there. They answered my questions and helped us out . It was raining and still came out in the rain to do what was needed. They were on the ball and I highly recommend them if you're interested in purchasing a new trailer or extras for your truck. Thanks guys for all your help in our purchase. If we need anything else we will be coming back.”

“Shopped around today for a cargo trailer and mistakenly went to another dealer in the area before stopping by Leonard's and i won't make that mistake again! Walked in told Victor what i needed and in 10 minutes i was on my way to owning a new trailer!! Honesty goes a long way when doing good business!!!! Lornards has my business from now on!!
