“Justine Fitzsimmons was our agent, and she was excellent. Very responsive and helpful. However I would like to provide feedback on the accommodation in Hakuba - Summit Views. The 4 bedroom room we were in was truly awful. There wasn’t even any area for us to unpack our clothes to. There wa only a single small hanging rack. That was it. Which meant the 4 of us had to live out of our suitcases for the week, which was a very disappointing experience. I would not be recommending Summit Views to anyone, without making it very clear the rooms are tiny and there is no storage space for clothes, other than 1 small hanging rack. The breakfasts were also very basic. Not a great accomodation experience overall. However conversely, the accomodation in Myoko was superb - Kogukuro. It was really excellent, and we would be very happy to stay there again. Spacious, excellent service, really nice authentic Japanese feel to it and great breakfasts. Final piece of feedback is Joeys Ski rental company in Akukura Myoko. They had a very limited selection of skis. Had basically run out of powder skis too. And nothing really premium. I would have preferred to rent our skis from a place that had much better selection of premium kit eg Factions, Black Crows etc.”

“Amelia was very helpful from the start. She guided me to the best resort that fitted my criteria at nozawa onsen. The stay at welcome nozawa was very comfortable, great location and I just loved the bed. She managed to fix a minor issue with the booking and ended up being no problem. Highly recommended mountain watch travel.”

“Wanted to shout out to Kirsty from MT. We had the most fabulous time in Nozawa Onsen! Your recommendation was absolutely spot on — we honestly couldn’t have picked a better ski resort. From the very first day we already completely in love with the place. The snow was nothing short of magical, and the ryokan you suggested is perfect — spacious, comfortable, and ideal for the three of us. It has made the whole experience feel even more special. We managed to explore all of the mountain and had an incredible time. The runs have been fantastic, and the atmosphere here is just wonderful. Thank you so much for helping us create such a memorable ski trip — it’s shaped up to be one we’ll always remember. Big smiles all around!”

“Thanks to Justine the accommodation helped to make my Japow adventure the best ever! Justine made some recommendations that I was initially dubious about. I had already experienced several Japan ski holidays and was quite certain about my experience. But she really did make the right call. Especially in Hakuba the lodgings ticked nearly every box for me. Justine was very patient, professional, flexible, and friendly. I would have no reservations about recommending her and MT to anyone.”

“Anna O'Malley at the Queenstown branch was so patient and helpful towards me as I tried to navigate my way around going to Japan for the first time skiing with my two teenage sons. We had an absolute blast in Hakuba and in Tokyo. We would love to go back to Japan next year in January 2027.”

“We had an amazing experience working with Justine from Mountain Watch Travel. She was fantastic to deal with from start to finish — always responding to emails promptly and making herself available for video chats when needed. She is incredibly thorough and made the whole planning process feel easy and stress-free. The accommodation she organised for us in Tokyo and Kyoto was absolutely amazing and truly made our trip even more special. Her knowledge of both destinations was outstanding, and her recommendations were spot on. Justine was lovely to deal with, professional, and genuinely invested in making our holiday memorable.
