The loaf marketing department deserve 5 stars for their convincing adverts..Sadly this is the most expensive pile of rubbish I regret buying..Sitting on the floor is the comfortable option.Loaf sofas arrive looking beautiful ànd that is all they are fit for looking at.

Customer service is terrible or non existent. Squisharoo sofa cushions flat after 2 seconds . Only purchased 2 years ago and seat cushions is lumpy despite constant plumping. Would not recommend.

Bought a large Smithy sofa at the end of 2021. We have been enduring it ever since. Having to plump the cushions all the time to make it even vaguely comfortable for 10 minutes was a torturous exercise, especially when heavily pregnant. I contacted Loaf about how flat the cushions were and was sent replacement seat cushions for free. They claimed they had a different filling. For about a week they were puffy and delightful. I felt a false sense of hope. They are now flat as the previous ones but went floppy even quicker. The most disappointing thing is how careful we were when selecting our sofa. We went to the Battersea showroom to try them out and were pleased with the level of cushion support. I can only assume that they use a different filling in the showroom sofas. No way the poor staff are plumping the sofas 15 times a day to keep them looking presentable. Will never go for a sofa with feathers again.

After 6 months, our large Smithy sofa seats became flat, lumpy, and unbearable to sit on. To look vaguely normal they need to be plumped multiple times a day - heavy, hard work, and time consuming. Unsustainable. Have complained to Loaf, had a technician come to visit, and was informed that because there is no manufacturing error, they will not take any further action, and after further complaint from me, directed me to the furniture ombudsman. It is clear this is a common (universal?) experience and I have found a strange comfort in reading others' similar situations. Like many here, I wish I had seen these reviews before purchase (reviews on trust pilot etc... generally seem to be after immediate purchase when all seems well). I wish I had never wasted so much money on the worst, most uncomfortable sofa I've had the misfortune to sit on. Loaf sucks. I have contacted The Cushion Guys to find out about options for replacement.

I bought 4 Milk bar stools. They looked great - but after about 9 months they started to fall apart. I removed the base cover to see what was going on only to find that the base wood that takes all of the weight is not one solid piece but multiple scraps of wood stapled together. These staples inevitably fail over time and then the whole thing starts to fall apart. It’s literally the leather holding them together. These are some of the most expensive stools on the market and yet they are using scraps of wood to build them. It’s unbelievable. The cheapest stools are made with solid bases, that’s just the absolute base level of manufacturing. I complained about this a few years ago and they said they would review the manufacturing process. I saw that they still sell milk stools so I’ve ordered more (they match the kitchen) and guess what, they have all been built with scraps of wood so not just a bad batch. Loaf is a complete rip off. Appalling.

Bought a large Squish mister sofa 6 months ago. It looks amazing but I no longer sit on it as it actually hurts as it is so uncomfortable! Like others have said I am constantly trying to plump the cushions that are extremely heavy and within minutes everything is compacted and rock hard. I have contacted loaf and so far they have been good at getting back to me. Someone is coming out to look at it so interested to see what they will say/do.

I absolutely hate my crumpet sofa! The wooden structure broke after a year and the guy who repaired it said it was due to a knot in the wood. Cushions are flat despite puffing daily and requesting replacement cushions. Also has the most annoying squeak when you sit on one side! I know sit on the floor I hate it that much!

Still waiting for a refund three weeks after goods were collected. I ordered the Coco bed a year ago. It soon became clear that it was faulty. Loaf collected it three weeks ago. I have repeatedly chased the refund but have still not received the money. This is not the first time this has happened with Loaf. I did not receive a number of items from the original order and had to repeatedly ask for a refund. Products are poor, service is terrible from both the company and their couriers and they do not issue refunds without repeated requests.

My boyfriend bought a sofa that was close to £5000 in the last 6 months. He accidently put a cigarette burn and there is no way to buy the fabric to repair this. I guess they just expect you to throw the sofa away and buy a new one?!?! Customer service is terrible and the live chat is even worse.

Bought two of Loaf sofas about 3 or 4 years ago and I have to say they are the worst purchases I have ever made. They are each a different style of sofa but both are so uncomfortable I usually just sit on the floor. When you do sit in them they end up looking so unsightly and messy you are forever taking off the cushions and plumping them up, believe me it's really hard work. The sofas look lovely when you don't sit in them and the customer service team are excellent, but I wish I had sent them back when I had the chance. I stupidly thought they might improve with wear.

Purchased a large loaf sofa at Guildford cost just under 4k and I can’t lift the cushions they’re so heavy. Wish loaf sales would have given some indication, after all it’s not something I thought about when purchasing a sofa, never had a sofa that I struggle to lift the cushions on! I’m over 50 and fit but even I struggle, it’s hard work, after several months now going to sell it, it needs fluffing every day with the feather filling otherwise it looks a mess and is uncomfortable, it’s weary and hard work ! Beware if you have a bad back or are older you will also struggle they weight a ton !. It didn’t occur to me to pick up the cushions so beware !!!

We have a loaf squisharoo. It is quite simply the worst thing I have ever owned. Every cushion needs re plumping about 6 times a day. Good luck plumping the chaise cushion, It is like fighting a dead hippopotamus. The sofa looks nothing like it should, unless you have a spare hour per day to continuously plump the ludicrously heavy cushions. If also sheds feathers at an alarming rate. So to summarise, it is an absolute waste of money.

Loaf, are you not listening to these reviews or do you just not care? People are spending a great deal of money on your sofas to end up with something that is completely unacceptable. The cushions weigh a ton and are difficult to manoeuvre, an older person would struggle enormously to lift and plump them. They sag down to about an inch in the centre and have no degree of comfort whatsoever. They are rock hard and look dreadful. Unfortunately, having spent so much on a sofa and chair I am stuck with them for the foreseeable future - I urge anyone considering buying from Loaf to seriously rethink your options. Disgracefu!!

I am beyond infuriated with Loaf sofa company. We ordered replacement cushion covers, which were almost the price of a new sofa, only to receive them faulty. Since January, we have been without a functional sofa because Loaf's customer service is abysmally poor. Despite countless attempts to get this resolved, we have received neither a replacement nor a refund. It has been 7 excruciating months, and we are still waiting for a resolution. The level of unprofessionalism and horrendous service we have experienced is unparalleled, particularly from the so-called Customer Care Manager, Sonia. She was supposed to take care of our issue and expedite the resolution, but instead, we have been left waiting for months with empty promises. When we finally agreed on a collection, they couldn’t even arrange that. As it stands, we are out a significant amount of money, we have no usable cushion covers, and we have been subjected to 7 months of utter frustration. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before dealing with this company. Their customer service is a disgrace, and the management is utterly incompetent. Save yourself the hassle and avoid Loaf at all costs!

Awful sofa...don't ever buy an Achilles. Lumpy chunks of foam inside the cushions..they need plumping every time you sit on them...and then you end up sitting on a chunk of foam. The base is hardboard...not sprung which is fine if you are looking for something on the budget end but these sofas are not budget..my fault for not checking as the marketing does a good sell...never make assumptions.. feathers coming out of the cushions left right and centre. Worst sofa we have ever bought in 35 years of marriage. I get back ache after 30 minutes. Customer service useless

Sofas sag after every sitting. Have to remove them every single day and knock them back into shape. Both of us in our seventies and should have read the reviews before buying. Extremely uncomfortable and very poor quality. Forget the hype and smart shops. Stick with well established brands. Over £5000 wasted. Shocking.

Shame there isn’t an option for 0 stars. To be fair, the 1 star goes to the in-store staff who are lovely (we know, we’ve made enough trips over this sofa). Other than that, Loaf has been a huge disappointment, with appalling customer service, sofa broken on arrival, horrendous time trying to sort that out, and actually a very uncomfortable sofa. So much so that we’ve now requested a refund and they can have it back. That won’t be straightforward, naturally, because customer service are incompetent and cannot read emails. They’ve sent us no fewer than 17 chains of emails. We selected the slow-riser. We now understand it’s a brand new design and the store staff told us it needs a few more rounds of design improvements before it’s ready for sale. Shame we got the prototype and paid nearly £4k to help them redesign their products!! When in the store today there were at least 4 other people also complaining about various things. What a sh*tshow. The new latex cushion idea sounded great. In reality it is too latex heavy with insufficient feathers. Ratio is all wrong. Leads to a bent chaise cushion and a horrific backache if you sit on it. The cushions on the back and sides are also insufficiently filled. So they’re flat and offer no cushioning at all. Ironic. Avoid like the plague. Terrible products and way too stressful. Our old sofa will be coming back, it’s 12 years old and still perfect, we just wanted to upgrade as we were redecorating our room.

Only comfy for first sitting then goes flat and hard, needs plumping..but not a lot to plump. Having previously had feather filled tetrad sofas for 17 years, which were super comfy….needed plumping after few days but plenty of plump!….loaf sofa is ridiculously expensive …looks good but does not deliver on comfort

Thought we would treat ourselves to 2 new sofas and a loveseat. I had a reservation when the chap in showroom told me they needed to reshape the sofa cushions and seats every morning but chucking them on the floor and walking over them but I thought 'well, they're in the showroom, they will get used a lot'. However, we have now had our sofas a year and literally every single morning if you want your sofa to look ok and be comfortable you have to spend a few minutes taking everything off, reshaping it and plumping it and rebuilding it. It doesnt sound a big deal but it becomes very waring when, if you just want to sit down, you have to muck about sorting it out first. It's infuriating. All of them also feel like you are sitting on a down slope. Really disappointed. I absolutely wouldn't buy from them again. Take your money elsewhere.

Sat here crying. It’s everything I EVER wanted … huge, looks incredible and the colour is to die for BUT ITS BEYOND UNCOMFORTABLE!!! I just don’t understand? It wasn’t this uncomfortable in the showroom ? I would have never in my life spent over 7k on an uncomfortable sofa! So tomorrow I will be contacting them to collect and refund - I took delivery yesterday ! Absolutely heartbroken. Arrived marked too on one of the cushions but that’s nothing compared to the pain in my body from sitting on it. Oh Loaf I’m so so disappointed. I just hope your return and refund process is a more comfortable process as you have no idea the stress you has now caused me!
