Marketing and designs, colours and fabrics fabulous. Then, my much dreamt about sofa arrived. After 3 months we admitted we'd made a duff purchase. So uncomfortable, impossible to sit on without sliding down and soooo disappointing. As much as I love to look at Loaf designs, they are over priced and unfit to sit on. Sadly I'd never buy again.

A £1700 bed delivered broken after a 5 week delay! After numerous phone calls to the customer service and mgt team, I am still none of the wiser as to what is going on. I’ve been promised return calls from the senior mgt team and this has simply not happened! You are in a mess and you need to get your act together. It is simply not good enough!! I hope the CEO is taking the time to read the extremely poor reviews of late...

I'm So sorry to add yes another negative review about Loaf but i cannot just sit here and not share. It takes a LOT for me to moan but this company are shocking. We ordered a sofa and armchair back in March. Delivered both to us in July. Starting with the armchair. it was delivered with wood glue all down the side of it. They sent a cleaner out who made it worse, now they tell me i have to wait another 15 weeks for a replacement. I've since just asked for a refund. Now the sofa, the most uncomfortable sofa ever! It need plumping everytime you sit on it. the cushions all slide out and off the sofa. We have had it four months now and its faded beyond belief! For a piece of furniture that should last for years! We are now selling the sofa. Customer service - if you can call it that. They sound like they are in wall street when you call. they promise to call back, which they don't. They response is like they couldn't give a damn about your feedback. This is in fact probably because they have complaints all day long by the looks of this thread!

We’ve put up with a Loaf Crumpet sofa for a while now as we just couldn't admit to each other that it is the most uncomfortable sofa we’ve ever owned as well as bring the most expensive!

The CEO of Loaf,Charlie Marshall, needs to read these reviews. I am beyond angry at yet another botch delivery this morning. We ordered a Dazzler Bed in February which was eventually delivered in June damaged. The bed frame and slats were damaged and the headboard itself had marks all over it - we rejected it and a replacement was ordered which arrived today - Mid October. Again the bed base is damaged, slats broken, headboard and footboard damaged. There is clearly no quality control. You do not wrap a fabric like velvet in tight plastic - however clever/smart the velvet is, it will mark. They have probably been wrapped like this for months as clearly no one checked it in the warehouse before it was delivered. The two wings on the headboard are different. The whole dealings with Loaf are a travesty and no-one seems to care. I now need to find and order a new bed - Loaf have agreed to a full refund so we will see if they keep the promise on that. Appalling service, aftercare,Wincanton delivery guys rude. Something needs to be done and it can only come from the owners - it is a shambles and they must be losing money hand over foot with all this negative feedback and return of goods, which they then sell off on third party sale sites ! Loaf - get your act together.

Returned one Oscar sofa after two days...so faulty it squeaked when sat on and then when a cushion dropped on it! Loaf did collect and refund me wishing 14 days which was good. No worries I thought because the chalky blue velvet Crumpet was the main attraction anyway. Imagine my surprise today to find the staples in the arms are peeking through and are rusty! I've never known that before. And after just 3 months. I've contacted Loaf. Who knows what my options are? Could be a £2000 mistake. I'm so disappointed.

I have just had the worst customer experience at Loaf. Their website tells you the products that you can order for Christmas delivery. Have wasted so much time ordering swatches, getting the family excited about their forthcoming present and now about to place the order and they Xmas products aren’t ready until mid February next year. What a shambolic company

Shambolic logistics and very poor product. The showroom products are very different to what you receive, cushions are half filled, fabric is poor quality. As stated previously, they have some willing staff but literally nothing happens after them. Wincanton the logistics company are an absolute joke and messed up pretty mush each one of our 4 delivery’s/collections on some way. Considering the price you pay, the resource behind the operation is clearly lacking and I would advise you to look elsewhere unless you are happy to act as a 3rd party in the process, chasing and chivying every step of the way.

Fabulous products, great marketing, shocking customer service. Waiting weeks for collection of an item and no refund until collection is made. Little to no communication.

WARNING Appalling after care service. We ordered a large squishmister sofa, 2 arm chairs, bed in a bun, headboard and valance all in the same colour and same fabric. Paid upfront and waited for delivery. Then the problems started… On delivery, the valance was missing and the sofa and headboard damaged. The delivery team were a bit rough and ready, not what we expected. They made an attempt to hide the damage and left as quickly as possible. After another 12 weeks a replacement valance arrived, slightly different colour. Meantime, a technician was sent to inspect the sofa, replacement needed, colour match samples sent, no exact match possible, replacement sofa ordered, 12 week wait, then it arrived and was damaged by a delivery team who also damaged the door frame while fing and blinding. After a repeat of the above a 3rd sofa and the replacement headboard arrived and r both damaged by the delivery team! So over a year after placing the order for over £10,000 with Loaf, we have a set of mismatched furniture, with 2 items still to be replaced. On top of that, the cushions are disappointing, they just go flat after a few minutes and need plumped again and again. I have asked to speak to a manager with no response. BTW, they did get their insurance to pay to have my door fixed. Loaf, you need to use a proper ‘white glove’ delivery company as a first step.

The assistants in the shop were hugely helpful and the initial delivery was very easy to arrange. However, the customer service since then has been shocking. The staff are obliging and seemingly want to help on the phone however nothing gets done. I have now had a very expensive sofa which has the wrong cushions on it for well over a year.

We've had our Loaf sofa for just coming up to 1 year. We paid over £2k for this sofa, direct from Loaf. Design-wise: very cute. Love the design and the fabric (clever velvet). But ohhh wow...the shape of the cushions is SO BAD. You have to literally fluff them every single day and they just flatten out and look AWFUL within the same day. Honestly would not recommend. For the price we paid, I feel pretty sick.

Appalling service. We ordered a bed in early May. A damaged bed was delivered in early June. The bed was so badly damaged the driver refused to leave. Despite this error by Loaf it seems we were put to the back of the queue again. We are still waiting for the bed to arrive. We have been told delivery will not be until mid August. Despite paying nearly £3000 to Loaf 3 months ago for a bed I am sleeping on a mattress on the floor and have been since early June.

I have tried so hard to love my squishmeisters-they look so stunning on line and in photos but so uncomfortable IRL with no support whatsoever and I m constantly trying to fluff up the cushions to make them look halfway decent.Like another reviewer I end up sitting on the floor.Sadly a very expensive mistake.

Absolutely terrible service. I am pregnant have a child and a new puppy, we dismantled our bed ready for our new one and paid for assembly. Ok the Delievry day we’re told they only had one box of two, and the other would be with us by the end of the day and they’d assemble it. It got to near 5 o clock and thinking it was near tea/ bath/ bed time for my child I was getting worried. No one was coming . They didn’t knew where the rest of the bed was. We were promised a call back, which never came, and the next day we didn’t. We have had to chase this , with no one keeping informed. After taking two days to communicate with the logistics company that they didn’t have it, they said they’d send by courier the rest and it would arrive the following Friday. Was offered 10% off the bed price ( when you pay £1500 you don’t expect this service) but we would have to assemble this heavy oak bed which we’d paid Delievry and assembly for. So we actually got less than 10% back but we just wanted a bed! Again they’d misinformed us and actually we had to book a Delievry in. This took a further 5 days. By now we’re getting quite annoyed at the lack of competence , lack of bed, loss of earnings for time off taken to be in for Delievry and putting a borrowed bed together and taking it apart to then put it back together , when your heavily pregnant this isn’t ideal! It isn’t ideal at any time. We’ve again had to get in contact and say we’re missing bits of the bed ! And promised a call back… low and behold no call back tonight. Seriously !

Loaf should be embarrassed at their level of customer service. It took 4 months for a set of dining chairs to arrive - leaving us with the table we ordered but no chairs to sit on, after much chasing, the chairs finally arrived, dumped on our doorstep by parcel force with a mountain of packaging that we have to get rid of. We unpacked the chairs to find one is so badly damaged we can’t actually use it. We have now been told it’s another two month wait for a replacement. We spent close to £2000 with Loaf and as compensation have been offered a pathetic £120. I wish I had never ordered with Loaf and never will again.

Bed delivered with great big crack in it. Made in Vietnam not the U.K., according to delivery men. I won’t be ordering a replacement.

Today was the day our furniture was delivered after some delays. We were expecting to receive a chair, a footstool and a bed in a bun. The chair arrived fine and looks lovely but they have failed to deliver the bed in a bun for the second time and the footstool is a different colour and style from that we ordered. We paid for the split shipment so we could get the bed earlier and now it is still not here and we have to wait another 8 weeks. Just like last time, nobody thought to call us to let us know. Regarding the footstool, we are assuming it will need to be replaced so we are expecting another long lead time for this too. If you are thinking of buying a premium product and expect to receive good service and quality goods then I suggest purchasing from a different company. At this price point you would expect some level of customer service and, at a minimum, the correct products. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

As Public Enemy would say, Don't believe the hype. We were happy enough to wait 12 weeks for the sofa (COVID and all that stuff) but when it arrived it was no end of problems. The delivery drivers didn't wear masks, didn't social distance, effed and jeffed most of the time they were here because it was a tricky delivery and the last of their day. We paid extra for removable arms, clearly stating to both Loaf & Wincanton that they'd need to be removed to get the sofa in. Arrived not removed, tried to force it through the door damaging door frame and sofa. Loaf also supplied short legs despite us having paid for long legs We waited 2 months for long legs, only for one to arrive split and uneven. The sofa is actually comfortable for the best part of £2500 the service has been utterly rubbish. Customer service takes an age to respond to any email and if it wasn't so hard to find a replacement it would have already gone back. Also because most of the issues are to do with the delivery there's a lot of "It's not our fault, it's Wincanton" back and forth, despite of course our contract being with Loaf, not with Wincanton. The reality certainly does not match the website, sales experience, and all very jolly stock email bants.
