Looks great, but my god, it is uncomfortable. And it requires about as much attention as having a pet, including the brushing. My fault for getting the beautiful velvet fabric, but it wears terribly. And their fault for having horrible fills for the cushions. It is, as someone else noted, like sitting on concrete. You literally have to plump up these heavy mfs every day if you want to be comfortable. It shifts and becomes leaden quickly. Same with the included pillows, which shed large, pointy feathers occasionally. This was supposed to be a luxury sofa. I suspect there are others at half the price that are not only more durable and require less care, but are also way more comfortable. Their CS is fab, but their overpriced product is not.

Loaf products look amazing online. They look amazing as feature pieces. Fair play. They've got their marketing down. But when you actually try and use them, they just don't work. Beauty and functionality shouldn't be mutually exclusive. We spent over £2500 on an armchair and small sofa. After about a month our armchair is making a creaking noise, having made a loud crack at one point when I sat on it. I weigh 11 stone. And the arm design is too upwardly sloped at the ends. You feel like you're always reclining. Our sofa is ridiculously low to the ground. Having asked about alternative legs, they want another £100 to send us anything. The cushion design doesn't work. As many others have said, the cushions require constant attention. All the filling moves to the end. They just aren't full enough. A half-empty sack does not a sofa cushion make. And the smell! You can't market 'scrummyness' as a cover-up for poor design. I wish I'd read reviews before purchasing! I so wish I'd sent them back within the (very short) two week return window. I'm reading reviews, and writing this one, for a bit of catharsis! Turns out we're not the only ones who feel a bit silly. As a young couple, this was meant to be our big furniture investment, for the next 20 years. What a disappointment. It's a case of selling them second hand for what we can get, and saving up again. Needless to say, next time, we'll try before we buy.

Sofa tips forward. Frame broke in 18 month. Uncomfortable. They did give me a new sofa due to broken frame but only after ten emails and phone calls as they kept messing up. Finally delivers the new sofa, not comfy and was the wrong size. I have two sofas from sofa.com which are so much better quality and comfort. Never again

I bought my Loaf sofa at great expense October '22 and waited several weeks for it, I was really excited for my first proper, lovely luxury sofa but it is SO hard, it makes my back really hurt, it's like sitting on concrete and there is nothing I can do to soften it. I wish I had gone somewhere else.

DO NOT USE LOAF - we ordered and paid nearly £3000 for a sofa mid November 2022 and still have no idea when it will arrive. Customer service is useless - none of them know anything or care when things go wrong.

Gorgeous, quality sofa bed delivered today. Delivery drivers did not, as stated on Web site, put in situ, remove wrappings (ad take these away), in order for us to check for any problems. Frame broken, foot broken, and underside torn, photos attached. Received an email offering refund or replacement, another 6 to 8 weeks wait (and quite unapologetic). Very disappointing service for what is clearly a quality product.

Disastrous !! Gave one star but only because I didn’t know how to give zero stars. Two loveseat deliveries have now had to be declined at point of delivery ….. black marks / ink marks / dirty brown marks !!!! Does this company not bother with quality control checks pre delivery ? Always make the delivery guys unwrap so you can check over whilst they are with you and then take away immediately, saves any hassle. Customer service very helpful but that’s irrelevant if the products aren’t up to scratch. Maybe the company should spend less on those brochures and more on quality control, just a thought.

Terrible service 6 months and only now just have the sofa, mix ups with refunds, delivery dates. You email them and it takes 3 days to reply to anything. I got a massive cuddlemuffin sofa £6k no way looks like I spent that, you could go to DFS for similar. Don’t buy a rug they are terrible quality for £650 shed everywhere and more like a towel than rug. Sending back. I’m not happy still with what I have but putting up with it because I really don’t have the time or energy to manage it again. Don’t believe the hope and marketing, I feel for it! Agree with everyone regarding needing a workout to plump the cushions !!!

Do not buy a sofa with feather stuffing! they are hard and go out of shape every day, I have just spent half an hour jumping on them to make it look ok, I will have to do this tomorrow if I can be bothered total rubbish.

Do not get fooled by the great service pre purchase and admittedly gorgeous looking sofas and materials. The post purchase service is disappointing and the product (in our case, a £3K Podge sofa) certainly isn’t made to last. The shape of as gone after a few weeks, the comfort just after a couple of months. Very disappointed

After waiting for four months for our sofa and love seat, with a lot of cancellations on delivery etc and parting 5k it’s like sitting on concrete. Plumping the cushions is a workout, you don’t need a gym, it’s included in the plumping process. The love seat doesn’t even plump, it’s just flat and hard. The chaise sofa keeps coming a part underneath. We’ve tried ringing to sort things out, but the company seriously doesn’t care. Why are they so uncomfortable? I envisioned sitting on a sofa that was like sitting on a cloud of lusciousness, now I’m sitting on a lump of concrete and getting a workout.

Sitting on a stale loaf of bread... Three months ago I purchased the Xl right hand slim jim chaise in cucumber velvet. It was purchased at a discounted price as it had a couple of marks on it. (these marks were mentioned on the web site but no photos were given) and it was listed as in- VERY GOOD QUALITY. Upon receiving the sofa there were several marks, one in particular quite noticeable. The back cushions were extremely hard, and seating cushions were no where near as comfortable as the sofas instore. I highlighted all of this in an email, only to have a response of 'fluff the cushions up.' Now, I have noticed the workmanship, uneven staples, tears, and seams coming apart on the underside/corners of sofa. None of this was made apparent on their web-site. I have decorated my room to go with the sofa- and after many conversations Loaf still refuse to replace like for like with no additional charge to myself for the inconvenience they have caused me. As a family we all looked forward to the 'loaf' experience and have been sadly disappointed by both the quality of the product and service. In my opinion, the sofa, even if bought new would have had same issues with stitching, stapling, and bad craftmanship. The customer service has left me wondering if loaf is just a huge marketing stunt, with little quality behind it, but plenty of loafing? Date of experience: 04 October 2022

Delay, disappointment and discourtesy Loaf is the go-to place for the disappointment enthusiast. You can delight in the exquisite delay for your furniture (longer than you were told). You can revel in your frisson of delight as you wait in on 2 separate days to have it not delivered by the equally hapless Parcel Force (Loaf's postal pals). Finally, enjoy the character-building process of having to constantly chase and be ignored for 5 hours having sent a complaining email whilst you look anxiously out of the window for a van that probably never left Stoke. If that sounds like your sort of thing, then I can thoroughly recommend Loaf. I nearly forgot to add, if you enjoy being told that you can have a £50 voucher for all your trouble, but then when you cancel the order in wearied defeat the offer is not honoured, Loaf are the people for you. Disorganised, discourteous and dishonourable. If, more conventionally, you prefer to have your goods delivered in a timeous fashion, on the day promised, and with an excellent customer experience, try anywhere else - literally anywhere. You will only be disappointed with Loaf. I suspect that the refund-chasers amongst you may also enjoy the Loaf experience. For my part, I prefer a more orthodox approach to reimbursement. Let us see . . .

Ordered a sofa & mirror from loaf, was told it would be a 10 week wait…. Got to 11 weeks so I contacted them & they said it would be another 10 weeks. I was informed I could book my delivery slot so I booked a holiday day off work to see in the delivery (delivery window 7am-7pm) the delivery arrives on time & they drop the mirror off but then they guys realise the sofas not on the van so they call the office only to be told it’s still in Birmingham…. I live in London. Loaf selling very expensive sofas & you have to pay upfront & have the worst customer service ever. Will never use them again. If you want fantastic sofas & great customer service check out barker & stone house

We've had our Loaf sofa was 2 weeks now and it genuinely already looks like we've had it for years- the cushions sag in the way you might expect from a tired old sofa and plumping doesn't really help, the sofa just looks old. So disappointed. It also smells terrible, althogh I'm hopeful that will go away eventually. I think our money could have been better spent on a different sofa company.

DON’T BUY FROM LOAF! We ordered a sofa back in March of this year. At the time we were told that there was a 8-10 week delivery turnaround, which we thought was reasonable. We contacted them after 12 weeks wait only to be told that the delivery had been pushed back to the start of June but that they would update if this changed. I called them again yesterday and they informed me that the date has been pushed back AGAIN to the middle of July. This will mean an over FOUR MONTHS wait since the order was placed. We look at every possible option when choosing our sofa, as we wanted to pick the right one (and there were a number of other companies we could have chosen who make similar products at a lower price) but decided on Loaf. What a HUGE mistake this was! Their sofas are not cheap (and you are expected to pay 100% up front) so I would have at least expected good customer service, but alas this was not to be the case. When I called them yesterday they said that a manager would come back to me to discuss my order. Of course this has yet to happen. I will be cancelling my order today as this is simply unacceptable.

Great in store customer service - But when the delivery arrives with the incorrect product - They have no customer care at all Simply tell you they will refund and collect - so crazy as all they needed to do was offer some kind of token some sort of courtesy. Instead > yer okay full refund and collection. Absolutely no stages of discussion- big company treating small customers small - making us feel insignificant- I feel sorry for the fantastic sales team in store as they are backed up by a cold - corporate! Very let down by loaf.

Ordered Sofa in January told it would take a few months to arrive. Contacted in March assured it would be delivered on 16 April. The week before I received emails and texts confirming it would be delivered for certain on 16 April. Totally relying on this I disposed of my Sofa. I was phoned on 14 April and told it would not be delivered. In their own words they could not say whether it would be weeks or months before it would be delivered. They were totally unapologetic and refused to pay any compensation.

DO NOT BUY A SOFA FROM LOAF. There must be better companies out there that have excellent aftercare. I bought two sofas last June, delivered in August. They are now 7 months old and one has snapped in the middle!! You then have to wait 3 weeks for someone to come to see it. Not ‘Loaf’, some other company that Loaf has contracted to. You have to take a days holiday as they give you an all day appointment, but the loaf customer service will pacify you with ‘they’ll let you know the two hour window the night before’! Not two hours but four hour window. Only to get a text the next morning to say the technician is ill so can’t come!!! Why as the customer am I being inconvenienced? Will they expect me to take another days holiday for a faulty sofa?! You pay such a lot of money for these sofas, the expectation is that you will get excellent customer service but you don’t cause the customer service can’t do anything as it’s all down to the company that they’ve employed to do the checks. Did you know that when you buy a sofa from loaf? They are excellent when they want to sell you the sofa. Do they make that clear? It’s ridiculous.
