Just don't do it. Don't want to be writing a bad review - Loaf looks so good on paper - but unfortunately we've had a really bad experience. We ordered a bed that took months to arrive as it 'got lost' in the post due to the cashier sending our king size bed as a 'small package'. I spend (no exaggeration) tens of hours on the phone to Loaf sorting this out, as no one in the customer service team seemed to know what was happening. The bed finally arrived after months of sleeping on the floor. We then made the mistake of ordering a headboard from Loaf too. I specified on the phone at point of purchase that the headboard was for a matching base. The team confirmed this would be no problem. It took months for the headboard to come (which is OK because that was the specified time frame) but it's just arrived and won't fit on the frame as the bolts are too short. In short - Loaf is expensive, takes ages to come, and simply isn't worth the stress. Just don't do it.

Shocking company with below par products and terrible customer service. Worst experience ever. Had to wait 5 months for my bed in a bun. It arrived damaged and not well made given the price. I will never order from loaf ever again.

Disgraceful delivery service, the rudest, and incapable, delivery drivers ever encountered (left me standing in the rain for waiting for them to update me as they said they couldn’t delivery to my lane so they needed to talk to head office (despite massive lorries being able to get up and down it perfectly fine), they then drove away right in front of me as I was soaked through without giving me said updat! I was standing right there infront of them-spineless men. Then the re arrangement of the delivery in a smaller van had not arrived within the timeframe and I’m still waiting for some form of update. Another day wasted. Another 2 weeks of having nothing to sit on, and we still don’t know when it’s supposed to arrive. Will it ever? Will never buy another product from loaf again, and will advise none of my friends or family do either. Very disappointing.

Terrible build quality. We have four Milk stools - 2 years old that are falling to pieces. We have realised they have been constructed with scrap pieces of wood held together with staples. I’ve called and complained, sent pictures and 1 week later have had no response. Really disappointing all round. I’ve just realised how pathetic their furniture guarantees are...bearing in mind Aldi offer three years on their beds! Loaf will only guarantee their stools for 2 years. Says a lot about their ‘good old fashioned craftsmanship.

I took delivery of our order for the king size mirabelle bed and on unwrapping it we are very disappointed that it is damaged and chipped. This complaint follows your disappointing sales service whereby it was delayed and your team have been unable to be contacted and extremely unhelpful. I have been waiting on the phone to get through now and I am getting no where. It has been answered and yet there is no response.

Having double checked access dimensions with loaf in advance by phone, we waited the circa 14 weeks for our sofa to be made. We paid for our old sofa to be removed. Loaf advised that excess time would be allocated in case arms needed removing from our sofa for access purposes. Wincanton loaf’s delivery partner arrived and refused to unload the sofa on account of lack of excess time being allocated. The options we were given by loaf were for me (a pregnant woman) and my husband to manoeuvre the sofa to our 2nd floor living room on our own (in which case loaf would wash their hands of the situation entirely) or have the sofa redelivered on another date. They were happy for my three year old and I to sit on the floor for weeks, lied about delivery arrangements and sought to hide behind wincanton. On the rearranged delivery date our order was cancelled, wincanton say by loaf, loaf say by wincanton and no one can tell us where the sofa is or when it is going to be delivered. Loaf have again washed their hands of the situation and have refused to speak with us since wincanton have failed to provide a new delivery date. Escalating to the team leader has been entirely fruitless. He is now engaged on the phone when we call! Horrible service. Buyer beware!

we had our sofas delivered in October, the support was terrible on the seat cushions. We were advised over the phone to take the cushion out and turn it around. When we did this the zip broke. The quality and durability on the zips is terrible not what you expect from a £4000 sofa. They offered to replace both cushions with a different filling, one arrived about 9 weeks after the original delivery it has now been 6 months and we are still waiting for the second cushion, we keep being told they are looking into this. I would not recommend this company.

Hi , We had ordered 3 Loaf Sofas and a chair few months ago . We paid in full in their Birmingham outlet. The Delivery date was arranged . We had waited for 4 months for the delivery of the goods . We were told 3 days before the delivery that they did not have the material in stock !!!!!! We were unable to contact them on phone as they NEVER answer their phone . We sent emails - the Company takes ages to answer emails . We cancelled the order and they were very reluctant to return the money which ran is several thousand pounds . I wasted more than 5 hours in telephone Calls and exchanging emails . My wife has very advanced Cancer and I am her sole Carer. She was in tears when we heard there was no Sofa .We are very disappointed with this Company. We further learnt that this Company does not manufacture any item . Loaf only outsources them from other Manufacturer near Derby. I request all Customers NEVER to buy any goods from this Company. You will REGRET ever buying anything from them . In my view such Companies should stop trading . I wrote a Complaint to their Chief Executive 4 months ago . I am still waiting for an explanation , apology and compensation for the distress caused to both of us . We are elderly vulnerable couple who are currently Shielding . Dr. R. Johri

Our 3.5k sofa arrived last night at 5.30pm. It was just left in our front room all wrapped no instructions on connecting it together. I now know they can’t put it together because of covid but they took our money. Covid didn’t stop that. We both have bad backs and it weighs a ton especially the sofa bed bit which by the way they didn’t tell us it was still wired up. Not good service. We were going to get another for one of the bedrooms but think we will look elsewhere

We received our Bagsie sofa this week. The delivery men could not have been more helpful and caring. Kept us informed all the way on the delivery time. Lovely sofa but too early to comment on it. I have noticed that the cushions need puffing up each morning which I was hoping I would not have to do.

Ordered a bed and paid £50 for the removal of the old bed (and assumed mattress as no option to select both). Called ahead of delivery to find out they wanted £50 to only remove the existing bed and I needed to dismantle before. Worst Customer experience spending a total of over an hour waiting to be answered and then being met by staff who didn't know anything.

We bought a crumpet sofa over two years ago. The cushions contained no foam which was stated in the marketing, just feathers which clumped together making it very unomfortable and ugly and a huge effort to plump up several times a day. To their credit, Loaf did replace the cushions, but one was slightly smaller than the other and the clumping problem still occured. In the end we measured up and bought good quality foam ourselves. It cost us about £150 to do this and we were nervous about getting the size right. The sofa doesn't have the nice comfy look of the advertising but it is now firm and useable.

Our experience with Loaf has been so disappointing. They have an impeccable marketing team who create irresistible images but the reality is quite the contrary. Our loaf sofa is one of the most uncomfortable pieces of furniture I’ve experienced. I asked for their help to find a solution to make it bearable but they don’t want to know. If you want a sofa that you actually want to sit on and not be told to ‘fluff up’ every single day when it turns flat as pancake avoid at all costs. A very disillusioned ‘Loafer’ here.

I would give five stars for our sofas great looks, however a sofa needs to feel as good as it looks and so for that reason I am rating it an honest one star. The sofa was bought to replace a very comfortable but old one, and intended as an upgrade. The whole family was very excited over its arrival. Unfortunately it’s so uncomfortable that no one enjoys sitting on it. It feels slightly wobbly and unstable, but the real problem is that it slopes forward so your bum is higher than your knees, this means that you constantly have the sense of leaning forward and of being perched. It makes it very hard to relax. A great sofa is something that you sink into and don’t want to get out of. This isn’t that. The sofa looks beautiful and looks comfy, but looks aren’t everything! Unfortunately it’s hard to sit on for any long period of time. We are constantly stripping the cushions off to plump them up, this helps for about half an hour and then it starts to feel uncomfortable again. We’ve found that rather than being the place where we all spend our evenings together, instead we end up in different rooms as no one wants to sit on the sofa. The sofa was very expensive, I wouldn’t recommend Loaf for sofas, the armchair is slightly better and looks great.

I thought the style looked really cool when buying back in June but the sofa looses its shape so easily and looks dented every time you sit on it! It’s also slanted when you sit on it and not that comfy! Wish I could of seen it in the flesh before purchasing as it was so expensive you’d at least expect it to keep its shape :(

Shocking and health risk 7 and a half months pregnant. It takes a lot for me to write such a scathing review of a company but what occurred am today has me in shock still. I’m a interior designer for a living so have ample experience in dealing with delivery’s particularly sofas! The delivery guys turned up and so the complaints began ‘just to let you know luv we only have 5 mins due to previous customers being a nightmare all morning’....’no where to park here’ they began to complain about parking to which I moved my vehicle and my neighbours moved there’s so they could park. I told them I needed to unscrew the basement window as this was direct access to the room where the sofa was to be installed meaning they didn’t have to access multiple areas of my home lowering the risk Of Covid as I’m 7 and half months pregnant. ‘We don’t have time to put it through the window luv’ I told them it would take 5 -10 mins max to unscrew the window, it’s a simple latch window that takes no time at all. ‘’Nope won’t do that’’ I then asked where there masks were as they insisted on attempting to take it through the house. ‘Yeah we don’t have any’ I asked if they would leave it outside knowing my husband would be capable of dealing with the situation when he was done with work. They refused ‘won’t put it outside, you’ll have to have it redelivered if we don’t put it inside’I had no choice but for them to endanger my health and they put the sofa in the hall blocking access to upstairs and and filling my dining room which was my only seating. I was left left with no room to move uncomfortable and tired. The two men were both rude and inconsiderate argued throughout the process disagreeing and bickering, swearing and rude. Neither were able to manage the furniture struggling as if this was a first outing in the removal game. The final nail in the coffin and At the end of the delivery while my back was turned the younger man entered my property without permission no mask and began to take photos of the stairs leading to the basement so he could Mark the Job as ‘undeliverable’ I could go on and on in regards to this situation but I put this as a stark word of warning to others, this is a company that consider themselves high echelon but would happily use delivery drivers that will risk your health, refuse to make the effort with a heavily pregnant woman, lie to get out of doing the job, and just so you know you’ll only have 5 mins to deliver...They quote on sales pitch that they allow 90 mins for delivery and installation. Think before you choose to spend thousands at loaf it could cost you in more than just money.

We purchased a Dixie Large Sofa and Dixie Love Seat a few years ago, the most we ever paid for a sofa but we thought it would be quality and comfort, unfortunately we had issues, frame creaks and feeling of the frame in the seating area, we got the technical team out a couple of occasions, both items ended up being manufacturing faults. Loaf did offer a full exchange, which we received today....different sofa altogether. Great after service Loaf. Thank you.
