Ken Kinzalow is a straight up good honest lender and the cheapest out there. He beat out all major banks and lots of credit unions. I have VA IRRRL (refinanced) 3 times and I will definitely be using him again. Great VA rates and he takes care of military! Low loan costs and zero discount points amd he still beats other banks

We submitted all the documents that was asked of us. We were given initial closing disclosure and asked for something to be changed on it. WELL!! We were told it would be taken care of and then we were ghosted for a week. When we called to ask what was going on with the loan we were told that the underwriter changed their mind about the loan. This was AFTER we were given a Closing date and were told to go ahead and get the insect inspection. When we complained about the lack of communication our contact said she (the underwriter) made a mistake and it happens blah blah blah. I asked for a member of management and he flat out told me NO!! He would message his supervisor and have them get with me. He then told me that he was turning in his resignation today and that he hopes I'm happy because I don't care for anyone but myself BLAH BLAH BLAH. Douglas Michael McFarlane was our point of contact and I hope he did turn in his resignation because he would ask for something and we would send it right away and it would take days for him to email us. Communication was horrible. He even told me that I don't care for anyone but myself and spoke to me in a way that NO CUSTOMER SERVICE REP should ever speak to a customer. I know I won't hear anything from management because apparently this is a common issue after reading reviews of the company.

I applied for VA loan (refi with cash to pay off ex-wife) and was promised 3.7%, and 1.5 points to lock rate at 3.7. Cost for points a whopping $9000!. Ken (loan officer) should have given me a set in stone list of what all would be needed to be presented to the underwriter. I never got a rate lock timeline. I was told “stop worrying “! “You are locked at 3.7!”!. Instead of a concise task sheet, Ken would send one word cryptic emails like “appraisal “ or “tax returns”. A week or two goes by and I get another task. He dished them out one at a time. I didn’t understand why at the time. THREE MONTHS OF THIS, and after numerous mistakes on Kens part (“sorry, I forgot to tell you this…”) the loan is ready to close, and the rate lock fee is now $24000!!!!! That’s TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND! I’m now out of time and forced to sign or the ex will foreclose. Ken took advantage of this to rip me off. I’m a 100% disabled veteran with no other income and a house payment of almost $3000. I don’t know who might help me. The government is busy giving cell phones and free housing to border trespassers. The DAV does not return calls. I saw another unhappy vet is reporting Loan United to the CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU. I will try that, but I won’t expect much, so as not to be too disappointed. Stay away from Loan United. Still not sure if it’s incompetence or fraud. The result is the same. As an aside, it’s been almost 2 months and I still have no idea who or where to send my Coast Guard disability check to for the mortgage payment…..

Your loan officers and underwriters are very incompetent people. Not to mention the processor that we work with.... he does not answer his phone.

Absolute SCAM! Worked with agent called Darrell B. It's been almost a year, he kept asking for documents that we provided and then he'll dissappear for weeks. Then text back. Lie over lie over lie. After paying for second appraisal that he asked us to do because the first one expired from him not responding, we contacted his direct supervisor who said those appraisals were never needed. Then he asked Darrell to make things right with us, which now it's been two months and he did COMPLETELY THE SAME. He called twice, then said let me check and disappeared again. We are out of 1000 dollars, been asked to hold on mortgage payments from him because we were "about" to close in multiple occasions which hurt our credit and this entire process has been just a waste of time, money and a huge disappointment! My husband is a veteran and they did this to a veteran. So whatever you do, DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

Our application to refinance our mortgage with LoanUnited was assigned a loan officer that proved to be experienced, flexible, and dedicated. He and his colleagues made us understand how the process worked and were very transparent in helping us meet our desired goal.

Brandon was great' he gave me a 1.7 for a 15 year and cash out. Was fast and easy, didnt have to wait three months like Amerisave and Quicken Loans that just wanted your money.

This was the easiest refi mortgage we’ve ever done. It was all done through doc sign and didn’t have to mail, ship or even call anyone to have it done. We only dealt with one person and that person was very kind, prompt and productive. It was all completed in a very quick and easy manner. Thank you very much we’re very happy about your services.

What I liked most about LoanUnited - they were easy to reach and available to help with the process. Also, they wanted to offer me the loan and made it the best deal with no back and forth. Thank you for making the tedious easy.

My loan originator Howard Conoly and his team were wonderful. Everything thing was exactly as quoted and the process was super easy. The closing was super fast and zero problems. This was the best and fastest mortgage experience I have ever had.

After first lender misestimated their closing time, we had to switch. Loan United made a very tight 2 week closing time, with a slighty better rate. Big thanks to Mr. Baird!

Please note that I was a banker, for 30 years and all on the lending side. When I ended my career I was "highly compensated" and had a single signing authority of 3 million dollars for any conforming loan. When I applied to Loan United I was handled like they knew what they were doing. I wanted a VA IRRL refinance to get my loan rate as close to 2% as possible. I did it for my three daughters so that when they have to sell the house with the assumable loan it will be easy. LoanUnited never missed a beat and went out of their way to assist me as a totally disabled veteran from my USAF pilot, forward air controller, and air liaison days. I couldn't have been treated better.

This was the 2nd time that I had refinanced with LU and again did not get the perks promised. Did not get "2 mo" of not having a mortgage payment, my loan was sold again and I was told that it wouldn't be.. signed 2/24 closed 4/22.

This was my second time re-financing my home with a VA Loan and my first time with LoanUnited. The process with LoanUnited was very simple and quick. Every time I e-mailed them with a question, the response was quick and thorough. Everything was explained to me in detail from day 1. I would recommend LoanUnited for any veteran looking to finance or re-finance a VA Loan. Thank you for the great rate!!!!!!

We worked with Brian Rebenko and the process could not have been easier. His knowledge on the VA streamline refinance was something we didn’t get to experience with our last lender. Very impressive, we will definitely be recommending Loan United to our friends and family!

From first contact to the closing table, Loans United - more specifically, Roderick Dunn my loan originator - were professional, courteous, and timely. Roderick and his support team did an outstanding job of communicating with me about the process and next steps. I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice, and would highly recommend Loans United to anyone, especially my fellow Veterans.

CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH! We have excellent credit and applied on 1/28/2021 for a loan with our current lender and LoanUnited.com at the same time and both offered a 1.75% rate on a 30 year mortgage which was unheard of but true. We went with LoanUnited because James Nobles was nice/knowledgeable and the closing costs were slightly lower. LoanUnited approved our loan on 2/15/2021 and sent us notice it was approved. What James Nobles didn't do was lock our rate and misled us that he had done so. When we continuously asked about it he said not to worry that we were approved through "blah blah blah" lender and the closing date was scheduled for March 12th. When we started pushing him for proof of the lock he started lying and trying to put us off then he went completely silent. We called the office and were hung up on by others including when we asked for Sushi Gulati the "owner"? Bait and switch is when borrowers are promised attractive terms upfront to win your mortgage business but then fail to deliver those terms when it comes time to close your loan. Changing terms at the last minute when borrowers are desperate to close their loan. In our case we should have just signed the rate lock loan estimate with our current lender at that 1.75% rate and it would've been locked and our VA IRRRL refinance would've been done by now. Instead LoanUnited has cost us thousands of dollars with their extremely dishonest practices. I'm reporting them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and VA because they are preying on our Veterans and using the VA IRRRL program to do so. STAY AWAY AND LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE!
