“I had the original Luminox Stealth watch and loved it. It was really bright and clear at night, easy to read. However, while I think the Pacific Diver is solid and well made, I am not impressed with the luminosity. It is not as bright and clear as the original. I originally bought three Pacific Diver (1x casual, 1 x dress, 1 x blackoutout, but I am going to return two beause I really thought they would be more clear at night.”
“I was a little kid when Luminox first came out, and I've wanted one for 35 years. So when I saw this years Black Friday deals, I jumped on what I thought was the perfect watch. An homage to my favorite plane of all time, the P-38. I was, and still am very excited about this watch. But there are some very disappointing things for me.
The second hand: while not a deal breaker, it does not line up with the number marks. It's off just enough to be noticable, and there seems to be no way to line them back up
The GMT function: there's a degree of play there that happens from when in setting mode, and operation. You set it, and then it lags before engagement, leaving it to look off, and not aligned correctly.
The crown and case back: this is nit-picking, and I know it, but they're both upside down when compared to the rest of the watch.
It's still a very cool watch, but my borderline obsessive/compulsives still hang up on these issues.”
“The Luminox watch delivers on its promise of durability and reliability, with a bold, rugged design that’s well-suited for active lifestyles.
That said, I was a bit disappointed with a couple of features. First, the bottom logo, which is supposed to illuminate, doesn’t light up as expected, which seems like an oversight given the watch’s emphasis on visibility. Second, the bi-directional bezel has a bit of play in it, which is frustrating for a watch marketed for rugged activities. It would be ideal for the bezel to feel tighter and more secure, especially for outdoor or diving adventures.
Pros:
- Bright and durable lume
- Sturdy build quality
- Stylish, rugged design
- Unique and super comfortable strap, with a leather-like underside that feels great against the skin. Works equally well with a dress shirt or in outdoor, rugged environments.
Cons:
- Bottom logo doesn’t illuminate
- Bi-directional bezel has some play
Overall, it’s still a solid choice, but the small issues with the bezel and logo might be dealbreakers for some buyers. However, the comfort and versatility of the strap definitely add a nice touch.”

“Just got the Pacific Diver Automatic, 42mm. The watch looks good and works fine, but the illumination is not as bright as my last Luminox watch was when new. I got the new one to replace the old one, which after 10 years was not that bright. The new one seems like it might itself be a few yars old based on its brightness. Probably won't get another when the new one gets dime. There are apparently a lot more choices now.”
“I rated Luminox a 3 because of water issues with models without screw down case backs and crowns and mineral crystals.
The models with screw down backs and crowns with sapphire crystal would rate a 5.”
“The strap looks like a good quality, but when I bought it in the website says that the shipping will take about 3-5 days but the delivery was too late and takes more than 2 weeks.i send an email to customer service to inform about the delay and immediately they send me the strap.”
“The bracelet was nice looking and I was excited to put it on my watch. I tried for about 30 minutes and couldn’t get it on. So I took it to my local jewelry store to have them put it on. They tried for an hour and they couldn’t get it to go on. So i guess i will have to drive 3 hours to salt lake for a luminox sealer to try to out it on. The other thing that i didn’t like was that it did not come with new pins. It seems like for the cost. They could have thrown in new pins.”

“I have had 2 Luminox watches in the past. The recent purchase is the third. My last watch was a problem, so I hope this one is better. My concern is not with the watches, but with your customer service. You are not very flexible when it comes to serving the customer. I would give you a D grade. I recently purchased an Atacama Field watch that came with a rubber strap and then an extra fabric strap in the kit. I don't like rubber because it does not breathe and is not comfortable and the fabric strap I would never use. So, I got online and purchased a leather one and it is fine. Since I never used the two straps that came with the watch, I wanted to return them to you at my expense and just reimburse me for the leather strap that I bought. After reaching out to you, I was told that because those straps were "kitted", it was not possible for a credit. In my view, you could have used these unused straps for another order and reimbursed me for my leather strap. This is poor customer service. You need to be more flexible.”
“I have had luminox watch in the past that I was very pleased with. But have returned my recent purchase for a refund on June 3,2024 . The watch was very uncomfortable to wear.”
“Bought as a gift and did not receive a ship date for almost a week after purchase. Could not talk to anyone and the text response was not helpful. Emails were not answered and after i was about to cancel purchase, six days after, i received a response the two watches were on their way. Not idea customer service.”
“I’ve had my 3501BO for about 6 years purchased directly from the Luminox website. It arrived with a loose bezel that rotates much easier than it should so I’m constantly having to readjust it. The strap lasted a while but eventually the strap keepers came apart and I had to purchase a new band. My model has a mineral crystal and it scratches fairly easy, I’d suggest getting a model with a sapphire crystal if you can. The tritium illumination is pretty good and very easy to see at night. All in all it’s not a bad watch, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the asking price”
“Overall I like the watch, my one issue with it is the loose bezel. It is far to loose to be used as intended.
Based on the initial quality, I doubt I will purchase another Luminox.”
“I purchased my Luminox watch after several months of research and consideration. The watch itself is fantastic and I absolutely love it. The 3 star vs. 5 star is due to service...I am frustrated that after I purchased the watch, I got a 10% off certificate 'good for the first purchase of a Luminox watch' which I had already purchased...I then contact service immediately requesting to have that applied to my purchase which I never heard back from. Service is important and they did not do well there.”
“Love the watch. Horrible service. I purchased a watch. After about a week, I reached out to Luminox because there was no shipping progress. I had to email multiple times before being told to place a claim that the watch was lost. I paid over $400 to have to place a claim for a watch I have not seen. I feel that Luminox should place the claim and inform us of progress. At the end of the day, I want the watch I purchased. I don’t know when I’ll get it or how long it will take for them to refund my money.”
