There are things to like and not like about this vacuum. I love that you can replace parts, that it is cordless, and it is light-weight. I wish there was a wide-mouth part that could be used at the end of the extension for vacuuming under the sofa or a bookshelf. I wish it had a light on the front to illuminate the floor, maybe with an on/off switch for power saving. I wish it turned on with the brush blades off. Lastly, the brush blades are not good on thick rugs, they always get stuck and i have to turn the power on/off to restart them, and conversely not good on very thin rugs, for some reason it has a hard time sucking up debris, and the suction power is often times too powerful for the area rug. In some ways, I like it and I don't like it. I bought it to replace a cord-powered Shark that we loved. We got interested in cordless and specifically the Lupe, because I hate the idea of having to toss a whole vacuum cleaner away every 3-4 years because a basic part has gone bad.

Works good except the tiny wheels on the power head keep getting dog hair tangled around them, have to remove them to get untangled

I thought this would be able to replace my old dyson v6 that finally kicked the bucket but I was disappointed when the Lupe vaccum struggled to perform. The squishy vinyl roller was ineffective on even the lowest of pile carpets. I would only buy this product if you have ALL hardwood/tile floors.

Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to review our Pure Cordless. We really do appreciate customer feedback. We are concerned about the difficulties you have experienced using the Pure Cordless on your carpet. The Pure Cordless has been designed to be used with both carpet and hard flooring. My wife used it first on a relatively new carpet. The small bucket soon filled up and then blocked the cleaner. Getting it unblocked was a long process. Also she found it heavy. Not an impressive start.

I would love to rate your product but after waiting close to two weeks DHL still hasn't delivered it!! I would however like to comment that Julie Tyler in your Customer Service department has been outstanding with her information and assistance.

It’s a Sprinter vacuum: powerful suction but lasts less than 30 mins of total use until battery runs out of juice. We have only been using it for 2 days. We do charge the vacuum all the way through before each use and use it until the light flashes on the lowest level. I will be curious to find out how long will this vacuum last… It was a pricey investment after all.

Hi Thank you for taking the time to post your review & great to hear you find the suction powerful. You should expect to get up to 60 mins on eco, 30 mins on normal & 15 mins on max power. Please do get in touch with us if you are experiencing any technical difficulties with your cleaner & we will be happy to help Best regards The Lupe Team

Clunky, the foam roller is poorly made and the machine just generally underperforms for its price

Hi Dany, Thank you for your review. The roller on the front of the Lupe Pure Cordless cleaner head plays a big role in delivering outstanding useful suction performance. During development of the Lupe Pure Cordless we could not find a soft, durable roller that was non permeable anywhere. Therefore, over many years we have designed and developed a totally unique roller, which we have patented. The roller consists of a rigid ABS shaft, with a soft squidgy foam, finished with a very thin durable TPU outer sleeve. The roller follows the same logic as the rest of the components on the Lupe Pure Cordless and that is that we choose the absolute best materials we could for each function in order to last a long time. It is possible that you have a defective roller. If you think this is the case please get in touch with us and we will look into sending you a replacement roller. Best, The team at Lupe

During the first week, it would have been a 5 star review. The operation was easy and the performance was great. Charging the battery was a simple task. Later, there was a problem with the brush head and it was a burnt smell whenever I tried to use it. I also had to clean the brush after every other use. It was a huge investment (I bought 3 units during Kickstart) so I was very concerned. Upon reaching out to Lupe, they identified that there was a problem with the end of the brush. Apparently hair can enter that small round part and damage it eventually. They immediately sent me two replacement brush heads and also said they would work on a new brush head that is more robust with hair. Being a customer if their competing brand for years, this incidence concerns me deeply. I do not know when they would actually make and send me the new brush heads. Currently the vacuum just sits at the corner. It is way too much hassle to take the brush head apart and clean after each use. To me, handheld vacuum should be the most convenient vacuum to use in the house. I have a small handheld vacuum (cost is 1/6 of Lupe) that I have been using for over 5 years with no single issue. For the costs of the Lupe, I definitely was expecting the best handheld vacuum. It seems that it is more powerful than the leading brands, but it does not last more than a month. Customer service was prompt so they did earn one star in my review.

Hi Janet, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We are sorry to read that you no longer use your Pure Cordless as you find it difficult to clean. Have you had a look at the below page? It explains how to quickly and easily clean the brush bar: https://lupetechnology.com/pages/get-the-best-out-of-your-pure-cordless That being said, our engineering team is still working on an anti hair-wrap feature and we will be in touch as soon as it gets released so that you can really make the most of your units and use them for years to come. Kind regards, The team at Lupe

Its good but not perfect. Quite ofter it spits small debris out and then collects on second pass, the head of the cleaner does not go flat to the floor without you extend the hose manually to the head, on full suction this works ok but then the battery is flat within minutes. The recharge by plugging in the adapter is out of date it should dock to charge. Would I recommend it over some other cleaners not at the moment.

Hi Peter I'm sorry to hear you did not have a good experience with the Pure Cordless cleaner. We'd be more than happy to help with resolving the issues you have highlighted in your review. Please do contact us enquiries@lupetechnology.co.uk Recharging: We felt that a docking station for recharging did not fit with our design ethos of 'what should' rather than 'what could' be included with the finished product. Amazingly simple unboxing experience! The packaging was just enough to protect the vacuum and is easily removed. A big plus for me is being able to package it quickly for transportation, without the use of additional repackaging instructions. Although I’d prefer having those included in the package. I love the removable battery—it’s quite practical I can charge it outside the vacuum. Unfortunately, batteries are not available for sale at this moment. For a vacuum of roughly € 730 I‘d also expect a second battery to be included. The attachments are very useful and I don’t miss anything. If you compare the Lupe with the Dyson system, it’s a minimalistic set, which I prefer over dozens of slightly varying attachments. The vacuum stands on its own, even though it is a bit wonky, so better be careful not to topple it over. I’m sort of clumsy and wouldn’t deduct any points here. The Lupe performs well on the high setting, but I often find it a bit weak on the low/regular setting. Battery life isn’t great on high intensity, but this is not different from other cordless vacuums of similar size and price. I’m not entirely convinced by its performance when it comes to vacuuming corners or just along the wall. The cleaner head’s design doesn’t allow for air intake at the front/the sides. So, you’ve got to use the crevice tool to be able to clean closer to the wall. Something my cost-efficient corded Miele can do effortlessly. I wish Lupe offered an alternative cleaner head, perhaps this will become an option in the future. I also wish the hose were different—less likely to spring back to its original shape as well as slightly longer. I find myself quite limited by its length when using the attachments; having to lift the vacuum while trying to get into a corner/tight spot is not ideal. Lastly, the customer service is very responsive and has been helpful when I contacted them for an RMA. I decided to give the vacuum another chance though, so hopefully I’ll grow to love it. Otherwise, the German marketplace doesn’t seem to be aware of Lupe yet, so I’m not sure how high the resell value is at this point.

Great suction power and lovely design style but uncomfortable to use for dustin the house- flexible tube too short and too hard to pull, standing base not stable enough and falling around when pulling the tube. Floor head too wide to use around furniture. Really sorry cause we loved the company and their initiative!

Hi Thank you for posting a review. I will feed back your comments to our design team. We are working on an extended hose & this will be available in the future best regards The Lupe Team

The vacuum is decent. The suction power is good, it's really easy to use and in upright mode works fairly well. They are some issues however. The portable mode doesn't seem to have as good suction. When using it upright it quite often leaves waste on the floor when switching the vacuum off. It costs a lot for what it is and I'm not sure I could recommend it over a dyson for the cost as I find myself using our 5 year old vacuum as much as this oe.

Hi Michael Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We really do appreciate our customers honest feedback. Glad to hear you like the Pure Cordless & the powerful suction. It may be good to just check you have no blockages or any debris stuck in the hose if you are finding waste on the floor. The suction is excellent and I like that it's cordless but I find it heavy and not so easy to maneuver, maybe I am not used to upright vacuum yet, will see after few more uses. It's true that the hose retracts right away after pulling it out, it's a struggle to clean corners and edges using the attachments. I would have wanted an extension wand for extra length and an attachment head for hardwood floors if I don't want to use the motorhead

Hi there! Thank you for your review & comments: just to let you know, our designers are indeed working on an extendable attachment & I will of course keep a note of your interest when this becomes available. I will also feedback your comments to our design team. Additionally, there is the option of turning off the brush bar when cleaning hard floors and just using the powerful suction. Thank you again The Lupe Team

Hi Lupe, I love the fact that there are fewer parts to the vacuum but I feel like the front part of the vacuum head needs a bit more weight on it. It struggles a bit on a high pile rug. I also like the idea of a bin without the bag, but I am finding that I have to do a lot of work to empty the vacuum. All the hair and dust wraps around the filter. I hope some better bin design and head designs are coming.

Hi Victoria Thank you taking the time to post your review. It's great to hear you love the design of our cleaner. Some types of deep pile rugs may cause the brush bar and roller to stop. Try decreasing the power and then try again. I will be passing your comments about the dust bin along to our engineers for review. Please let us know if you are facing any further issues. Thanks again! The Lupe Team

I like the idea of the Lupe. However, it's really difficult to see when the dust bin is full. I would suggest, make it clear. There's just no way at a glance to tell it's full. You have to stop, and kneel down to see that it's full. And the latch do open the dust bin to empty it -- needs to be redesigned. I have to constantly fiddle with it to open. Other's like the Dyson, open easily. Also, there's no motorized attachment for rugs. Dyson, Miele (all in the same price) offer a motorized attachment that allows you to work on rugs. Trying the Lupe on rugs is a nightmare. Doesn't work at all. Also, I read reviews on it's power to suck up items from carpet. Even on high, it just doesn't seem to hold fast to the carpet. With the Dyson or Miele, If I put it on high, I can barely move it across the carpet because the suction is so strong. On the Lupe, doesn't really feel like the suction is doing all that much. Fix all of these items and I think you'd have a great unit. Right now, great idea -- just poor execution.

Hi Gary Thank you for posting your review. The Pure Cordless’ head has been conceived to work seamlessly on all surfaces (including rugs), however, some types of deep pile rugs may cause the brush bar and roller to stop. Try decreasing the power and then try again. I will be passing your comments about the dust bin along to our engineers for review. Please let us know if you are facing any further issues. This was a spectacular product upon opening. It felt solid. Pros: 1 VERY powerful suction/vacuum 2 Solid Build and quality materials 3 eco friendly company 4 quiet operation 5 cool overall attraction and feel Cons: 1 Very narrow vacuum head (the part that meets the floor. This means it takes more passes compared to an average vacuum. 2 The hose was so incredibly stiff and short that it caused me frustration. Though it seemed to be long-lasting material, I had my hand cramp up several times in a few minutes just to do basic vacuuming with attachments. For the record I'm a 30 year old male who works with my hands. I couldn't imaginey grandmother or someone meek attempting to use the Lupe with ease. 3 Weight: This vacuum is clearly well-built with good quality materials. It is so good that the weight is too much for an average person. Compound that with the self-propelled roller that is far too slow and you get a frustratingly slow vacuuming job. It felt like brakes were applied and I continually fought the vacuum. That is what really drew the line for me to return it. 4 The vacuum "head" has a bump on it. One half of it fit under the overhang of my cabinets and the other half got stuck because of it's height. This was another bothersome aspect I did not expect. (The replacement vacuum I currently have features a sleek, symmetrical head that fits perfectly under my couch and cabinets). 5 Portable mode or whatever it is called when you separate the main pieces, to vacuum stairs for instance, the unit is heavier and awkward to maneuver - again, without your hand(s) cramping up. The feet are not quite sufficient in my opinion. 6 No lights. Our new vacuum has a strip of LED lights that make an enormous difference in the effectiveness and enjoyment of spot vacuuming. 7 Price. The product is premium and did not feel right once I began using it. I only used this one time before returning and realized I had made the wrong choice for your household. It is a great vacuum overall but did not suit our needs. I cannot comment on the longevity of the unit or the battery life.

Hi Samuel, Thank you for taking the time to review our Pure Cordless. We really do appreciate constructive customer feedback & I will pass your comments to our engineering team. The Pure Cordless cleaning head is 260mm wide which is comparable to most vacuum cleaners on the market. Our engineering team is currently working on a longer hose attachment that will be available later this year to purchase from our website. Although the Pure Cordless vacuum cleaner only weighs 4.6kg/10.1lbs in upright mode and 0.5kg/1.1lbs in handheld mode, the intense suction power means that it creates some resistance (especially on carpets) and can feel harder to manipulate at times – this however means excellent debris pick-up (including fine dust). The Pure Cordless cleaner head is 75mm high so, although it is asymmetrical, it should fit under most furniture – that being said, we will pass your feedback onto our engineers. With regards to LED lights, we felt that it was not in line with our ethos of innovating what should, not what could and that, due to the strong suction power of the Pure Cordless, there was no need for front lights. Thank you again for reviewing our Pure Cordless. The Lupe Team

I'd been really looking forward to this vacuum cleaner coming on sale, seemed to take ages for it to get into production. I had very high hopes for this. I've had this a few months now, and wanted to really get used to everything before I wrote a review, so that I could be completely honest and helpful to others. Firstly, if this was advertised as an upright cleaner, this would have 5 stars all day long as it's completely blown away everything else I've used in this category. Unfortunately, as it was being touted as the best all round (including the hose attachment side too), I felt this let it down massively. The hose is way too short, I struggle to do the stairs, as its pulling the cleaner over when I'm only doing the next step up from the one the cleaner is sat on. I always use two hands when I use a hose as I feel this way gives me the best control, but with this you have to use one hand to hold the cleaner, while left flapping about with little control of the hose in the other hand. On top of this, I find the suction isn't the best through the hose attachments. I think this would benefit immensely from a motorised head, like a miniature version of the main head, and also a much longer hose. I think improving the hose side of the vacuum cleaner would definitely make this a world beater!
