Stay away unless you want the real experience of going through a refugee shelter. Utterly disorderly and disgusting with long queues, lack of any (unhelpful) staff, lack of any information boards, lack of shelters against wind/ rain and a whole bunch of people who add to the mess speaking partial English and having no sense of any etiquette. Felt like a bunch of cowboys running an airport with services which makes some of the third world airports look so glamorous. I would never ever even be tempted to step foot in this crazy nut house as it spoils the whole experience of a vacation. Better a little bit extra and fly from elsewhere.

TIP: use the LONGTERM carpark, for goodness sake... upto 1h: FREE / upto 2h: £1. (and use your common-sense by NOT staying over 2h, otherwise you'll pay the full day rate of £21.) It takes all of 10mins to/from terminal by fairly frequent free shuttle buses (though always leave extra time, in case of unexpected delays!). They do not want you to use the overcrowded SHORT and MID term carparks, hence why they have priced them accordingly, as discouragement. (incidentally, at time of writing, Stansted offer the same price, but at their *MID term* carpark!) Learn the new airport parking systems (most drop-off is charged now), ALWAYS give yourself extra time, then you'll not have the pain of paying through the nose.

If you are thinking about using this airport Think again. Be very very careful when using the car parks if you run over the free period you will be ripped off with totally unjustified charges which you may need a mortgage to pay for . That's apart from the fact that you will get wet cold waiting for a bus to take you to the car park and when it turns up if it's full you will definitely run over time and with a very rude and unhelpful operator on the other end of the intercom it will cost you..........you have been warned the are also not interested in you making an appeal against the charges I would like to know exactly how much money they make per day it must run into the millions and they don't even wash the car or give you a cuppa wont use this airport again........................

I travel at least once a month from Luton and use either mid term or long term car park. Last night on returning to Luton it was pouring with rain and the new arrangements mean there is no shelter when waiting for the return bus to the car park. I was informed this is not a temporary arrangement and there are no plans to provide any shelter for customers who use the on site car parks. Obviously LLA does not care about the health or welfare of its customers. Whilst I appreciate they have to reorganise the site to i'mprove the service its crazy not to provide shelter for people returning from warmer climates to the British weather. All the road works mean you have no alternative to wait in the open rain snow or shine....and don't get me started on the astronomical prices. Poor show LLA.

Was in the mid-term car park last night for 33 minutes. Effectively I was charged £7 for 3 minutes as the first 30 minutes are free. Jst to advise it is impossible to collect someone from arrivals to help with their luggage and return to the mid term car park in under 30 minutes using the mid term courtesy bus. We could not have gone any quicker so suggest if you are thinking of doing this as an option to avoid parking charges don't. Also, it was pouring with rain last night and got drenched at the designated stop outside arrivals waiting for the courtesy bus as there is no shelter. So not only did I get ripped off I also drove home wet through. Thsi airport really needs to think again about its parking arrangements, its capacity and the knowledge (look at the reviews) that all customers who park their car to collect and drop off passengers are feeling totally ripped of.

Outrageous charge of £2.50 just to drop someone off or pick them up, when you will be in the car park for about a minute. Luton airport introduced charges to make money at the start of the recession and is now just coining it. Parasites.

£2.50 minimum to pick up or drop off. This has risen from 50p in a very short time. Absolute daylight robbery. Luton borough council should wake up and haul in the Spanish company running the airport as it gives Luton a really bad name.

Luton Airport is just another airpot that grabs money from captive customers. The roads are blocked with traffic because of the stupid roadlayouts. There is no where to drop off or pick up for free! ITS A DISGRACE !!! Even if you park off airport the pick up point have bus shelters that are so small only about 6 people can take shelter!!

I travel from Luton for holidays at least twice a year and the walk from the parking set down to the Departures terminal is far too far - it can rain and one gets soaking wet walking to the Terminal and that's before one sits in aeroplane for hours+ to destination abroad. With all the things going on at Luton for goodness sake get somewhere near yes near the terminal for us coming along with cases and paying for a trolley, which at £2 is a rip off as is the car parking/drop off fee being £2.50. Stop taking our money and improve the Depature points. Very disgruntled persons. BEDFORDSHIRE.

Used the priority parking option which was twice the price of other meet and greet services. The web site says it is next to the terminal with a few seconds walk.I booked it well in advance about 4 months.Got there it had moved to the short term park area.Much longer walk in pouring rain to the terminal. They hadn't bothered to email to tell me this.Signage very poor, eventually found where they had moved to.Park area very small. Staff very helpful but said they expect to move much further away soon as their area is being given over to coach parking.I will be looking at other options as regards meet and greet at Luton in future.

Charged £23 for just over an hour's parking! Followed a sign which encouraged Mid-stay carpark for dropping off - half hour free, but no warning of cost thereafter until you get to the exit barrier (Did I miss something? Should have read airport website first) Be warned - Luton want us all to pay for their redevelopment... by stealthy means.

Very quick to transfer from car park to terminal. Only negative is that car park isn't big enough. Had to drive round and round looking for a space

Appalling experience with parking at Luton this weekend - unable to prebook short term, priority parking so had to prebook mid term. Turn up with 30 mins spare and NO spaces!!! Drove round for 30 mins with a number of other cars trying find space, told we could park in disabled but no spaces there either. Eventually squeezed car into end corner spot to avoid missing flight. Now worried about car all weekend..... Very angry and very stressful.

Car park is far to expensive £7 for 40 mins.£2-50 for 15 mins. I just wanted to drop a person off and say bye. After a long and slow (50mph on most of the roads) drive I have never paid so much for so little.its a rip off From Karen.in LEEDS

Used the LSCP in August/September 2015. A truly shocking experience. Number plate recognition recorded the wrong number plate on the ticket. And then, on return, a terrible 45 minute wait for a bus from the terminal back to the car park. (Some in the queue had been there longer) And this was mid-afternoon. Thankfully it wasn't cold or raining because there's no adequate cover while your life passes by. The queues were huge and many failed to get on the bus at all! This meant that it was utter chaos at the car park bus stops as nobody could get off past the stacked up luggage. My advice - choose a different airport. Anywhere but Luton. Total rip-off, bad, bad service.

dreadful experience; went to the short term car park to meet my wife off her flight. Expected to have plenty of time as her flight was delayed, instead of which I was met with absolute chaos. There was no parking available, no marshalling of the parking so that the whole place was grid locked. After 1/2hour fruitlessly trying to get in and out during which time I probably covered two rows of the park I fought my way out and went to the long term. I paid £7 pounds for the privilege of not being able to park, and a further charge at the long term,- oh and I missed my wife's arrival Come on Luton, buck up, if the car park is full, tell people don't just take their money for the privilege of passing through your barrier

We used the mid stay parking at Luton and it was an awful experience. There is no guidance as to where the free spaces are (unlike Stansted which has an organised system). We drove around in circles looking for a space. Eventually we tracked a couple with their suitcase who had got off a bus and stalked them to their car. From my perspective there were too many cars allocated tickets for the number of spaces available.
