“I have benefited greatly from coaching. When I signed up it was the last chance I was giving myself. I've tried it all and I was going all in and committing and if it didn't work then I would know that I had done all I could and would just be me. It wasn't easy and there were tears shed but the part I've missed all my life is coaching. I never knew how much I needed just one person in my corner that was focused on me and what I needed even when I didn't know I needed it. I have no words for the changes in my life that Coach Keshia has helped me with. Number one she has become my friend that even though we have never met truly cares for me like we have been friends for life. She has been the shoulder I needed to cry on and the strong supportive coach to tell me the things I needed to hear even when I didn't want to hear them. I have achieved almost all the goals I had for myself. I'm not sure I'm prepared to go into as much as a deficit as I need to fully achieve what I would like to achieve and Keshia has helped me understand that is ok too. I am sad to end coaching because I will miss her so much but I do feel I'm in a place that I can maintain on my own with all the tools she has given me. Once I set some new goals I will be back.

She was able to teach me so much about how to use the tracking app, gave me advice on how to manage eating meals out, and even how to continue my progress while on vacation. “I believe that the coaching was too focused on "calories in vs calories out". For many folks who have experienced trauma, mental illness, and cultural differences, this mindset does not apply. There are several factors that impact weight loss outside of the calories you take in and burn. Some folks have disabilities (some invisible) that prevent them from walking 10000+ steps a day. Some folks have illnesses where many foods cannot be consumed. There are many factors that were not considered during my coaching experience.”
Hi Chelsea! Absolutely valid points here. Coaching should be about a lot more than just calories in vs calories out. That is of course the ultimate determining factor in weight loss, but how one goes about managing their intake is where personal factors absolutely need to be taken into consideration. Lifestyle factors such as physical limitations, disabilities, aversions to certain approaches, personal history, and many others need to be considered when aiming to get someone's calorie expenditure to exceed their calorie intake.
It sounds like we missed some opportunities here, and for that I apologize! I do plan to take a look into your coaching experience personally, and I'll be looking to see where we missed things, where the gaps were, and how we could have better helped or guided you.

“I joined Macros Inc after discovering a need for more consistent and personalized support. I was hesitant around the investment at first, but knew I was a priority and wanted to try it out. I was linked to a coach that was a “perfect” fit. I started with the nutrition only plan for the first few months, later to enroll in the full coaching option to allow for a personalized plan to meet my goals of weight gain/muscle growth.
This is where the real work started. I was challenged, encouraged, confronted, kept accountable and had a front row seat to some of my self sabotaging behavior that often kept me stuck for so long.
