This is the second time I have engaged the promise of Mandy.com and again the results are disappointing. I have repeatedly asked to be removed from the mailing list for job alerts, yet they still keep coming and now had to block Mandy.com to a blacklist spam filter. Ten years ago I created a professional profile to assist my 30 year career in the film industry as a union member of the Art Directors guild and Local 44. After receiving multiple job alerts each week for art department positions as a "free member", I chose to pay for an account only to discover the job posting vanished. Of the entire year as a paid member, I received less than 5 alerts that fit my profile as a production designer or art director, where as a free member I would see at least 2 or three each week. Based on a suggestion from a colleague and thinking Mandy.com had changed their policies, I created an account once again only to discover the very same practice of a "Bait and Switch". As a "free member" you are restricted from applying to any position or inquiring even for at least (1) one position. Fearing the worst and asking others in the industry, again the very same situation occurs that once you pay the fee, the promise of work vanishes. Mandy.com may work for some other professions, however for the film professional on a personal level, a professional has a 1,000% greater chance of obtaining work by going to local mixers and community events than wasting money on a service that has zero results. For the money, the service is just a waste of time, a professional has a far greater chance of projects posting on LinkedIn than posting on Mandy.com

This site is a complete Con! I received no value from this site and wasted money joining as it was the only way to connect with opportunities promoted… This site continued to charge me with their auto renew and when I discovered they had done this, even though I canceled and am not, have not been using their service as it is worthless, they refuse any refund. They claim you can go online to cancel, but that is not true. I went online and it would not even allow me to cancel my credit card details to prevent them stealing further money from my account. It turned out that I had to email them to cancel… how convenient! Do not give them money and do not give them your credit card information to access this useless service… AVOID!!!!

SPEND ALL THIS MONEY SO I CAN SUBMIT MYSELF FOR WORK-MEANWHILE THIUS SITE IS JOINING FORCES WITH OTHER SITES AND YET I CAN NOT GET HELP WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG-THEIR UPDATE SCRAMBLED ALL MY INFO AND THE SITE IS SO CLUNKY THAT I CANT MAKE MY VIDEOS PUBLIC AND THERE IS NOM ONE WHO WILL HELP- THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL

Had to contact Mandy.com urgently. Tried to send messages to emails@mandy.com at least 5 times in the past 2 weeks but no response. Tried phoning the no provided on 020 7288 7404 but was advised to send email to the email address I stated earlier! Unable to login or reset password and asked for help to issue reset password, but only pop up error message “….. expired” At the end of it all, all they want is your subscription and no communication at all. Can’t complain as there was no one responsible to lodge the complaint. Other than receiving the automatic emails from a “no reply” address, I wouldn’t waste my breath with them. It is supposed to be a professional website with proper paid jobs but all they have are unpaid student films.

Absolutely shocking service. There is NO way to get hold of anyone there. I have made contact with them in literally every conceivable way. Various email addressed. Filled in their online form. Facebook. Twitter. Instagram. I have a paid account I'm unable to log into. Its been nearly a week and N0 ONE has been in contact. Their only phone number goes to a voicemail telling me to email them. What fresh hell of customer service is this. I would not recommend paying money for this shocking service. They do not care about their customers.

First the good. I'm an industry professional of 7 years - a jobbing actor as it were - and I can thank Mandy (or really, Casting Call Pro as it was before it was bought out) for helping me to establish my career. It was, for a long time, a brilliant platform on which to gain invaluable experience, and has led to contacts who I still work with 6-7 years down the line. It was a great pool for corporate work, short and student films and fringe theatre, with an intuitive and helpful interface, and a range of features that really gave me a sense of ownership over my career - it allowed me to track my applications, to see their status, and yielded really positive outcomes. The cost of an annual subscription was easily recouped. The bad news is that Mandy has recently been bought out by Backstage. Since its takeover, Mandy has lost a lot of its useful features. The quality of the jobs on the site has diminished rapidly - for the most part it seems to be teaching, immersive experience for parties and shopping centres, and badly paid corporate work. It was always a real gripe of mine that Mandy never monitored the rates being offered - commercial and corporate jobs will often use the site to exploit actors trying to gain a footing, by offering insultingly low rates. I'd flagged this in the past to no avail, and sadly there is even less of a chance of any user concerns being addressed - the customer service department appears to have become automated, and a community of actors have, since the takeover, offered a stream of feedback on the changes, all for the negative, with no real response offered by Mandy. It appears to be headed in the direction of Star Now, also a subsidiary of Backstage, by which they lure early-career actors to pay to access castings that really won't do much for the majority of users' careers. I've been with Mandy for 8 years, and I am on the verge of leaving the platform for the first time. It has always had its critics and those in the industry who have advised against it, yet I have remained an advocate throughout. Until now. I would not recommend joining - there are other emerging platforms out there - and I have no doubt that usership will drop as a result of the unconsidered changes being made, and poor customer service being offered.

Terribly disappointing, no longer fit for purpose. I'm so sad and disappointed that I have to give Mandy a 1 star review, as I had been a happy active, paying member as both an Actor and Voice Artist on the site for many years, since it was formally Casting Call Pro & Voices Pro. Unfortunately the company was recently taken over by Backstage.com and they really have ruined what was a wonderful resource for professional performers, since the take over the sites features have been steadily broken apart and services reduced, and more importantly the number and quality of jobs on offer has fallen through the floor, basically making it less than useless to professional performers looking for jobs paying minimum industry standard rates

If i could give minus five I would. I bought flowers for my mother’s funeral. The lady kept telling me she makes no guarantee that the basket will look like the one I picked out. I was fine with that as long as it was similar. (It wasn’t even close). She said this at least three times to the point where I was suspicious. When I got to the funeral home there was this itsy bitsy basket which was probably the ugliest arrangement I’ve ever seen. I was embarrassed by this arrangement. I paid $81 for this basket and it was worth maybe $20. The colors and arrangement was horrible and non complimentary. The plants in the arrangement were very ugly and poor selection. I was extremely disappointed makes me feel like maybe I paid them $81 and they kept the extra money and ordered a smaller basket from the florist in Hamburg. That’s the last time I order flowers from Mandy’s in Olean. It’s sad that one of my worst days I had to have this disappointment added.

I subscribed for one year of premium service and after 4 months they did an 'update' which rendered the site unusable. I can't apply to any job because the site never acknowledges that I've logged in (as it pertains to being able to apply for jobs). I have contacted them 7 times over the last 3 weeks and have gotten no support. They also refused me a pro-rated refund. As it was many of the jobs were stale, were links to other sites, or literally paying nothing, but at least the site worked for those nearly 4 months.

Didn't really find it worth it to pay for premium. No real jobs came from paying premium. Or I would get Job offers from places way outside of my selected locations. Like I get it, you guys want to make it seem like your website job offers are popping, but they're not. Sometimes, moronically, you see a job offer here that says you still have to apply through another site, that is just like mandy.com. No real guarantees. And it is a little irritating that even now that I am no longer paying for premium, I'm getting emails about jobs that sound great, but only applicable if I upgrade to premium again. With no real guarantee. Just send me jobs that I can apply for without you robbing me please. I've heard from others as well that there are other & better platforms available. Thankfully the few jobs I was able to land, were through the classic platform of word of mouth. Not paying for a service that has no real guarantees and instead seem to be more like a "guarantease". If I am not paying for premium, stop sending me jobs only available if I pay for premium, since you can't even guarantee it. This platform "service" is basically extortion. Sorry to say, but mandy.com is not worth it. You have a better chance cold calling.

Bad website. Jobs mailing close to be spam. Not easy to navigate and impossible to find the remove profile option. Useless.
