Amazing service, we run a B&B and our dishwasher broke down which means a whole load of hand washing, well we ordered a new one from this company at midday on Wednesday and the new one was delivered at 7.30 in the morning on Thursday and we live in the middle of nowhere in the Yorkshire Dales, astonishing, We were kept informed every step of the way by text and email, competitive price. Highly recommended

Poor delivery service, but was refunded the delivery First delivery was unsuccessful as they couldn't deliver within the stated 2 hour window (I waited almost an hour after the window), which isn't so bad as delivery was rescheduled but not until the following week. The second delivery was, however, inadequate. All they did was drop off the cooker in my hallway right next to door, still wrapped, no where near the kitchen and quickly went off down the road before my plasterers could get them. It was true that the oven wouldn't fit round into the kitchen will all the packaging, however it would have done without the packaging (which the website claims they would do, if doesn't fit with the packaging) The "solution" I was given after ringing was a delivery refund, but that hasn't solved my problem of actually getting my cooker into my kitchen. Plus I'm also left with all of the packaging to deal with now. 2 stars as they issued a delivery refund, would have been more if they actually rectified the problem. The cooker looks great though, not that that's useful though

Order Samsung fridge freezer waited 1 month for delivery which was not a problem. However, They advertised free delivery but as the appliance was 2 metre tall, shingle drive with 5 steps into house charged extra for a 2 man delivery of £29.88 having spent £999. Only ordered from Marks because John Lewis was out of stock. Marks will not get future orders from me.

Visited the new store to purchase 2 TVs, one for my elderly mother and one for myself, new store big and well presented But nothing is priced!!!! Customer has to down load an app on their own phone and scan every tv to find the ones in the price bracket!!!! Then you forget which price is which!!! Mad, ridiculous , and definitely not suitable for the elderly. I then ask the sales men Sam to write the sizes of screen and price down for us to take away and decided, his reply was “ that’s a waste of paper” he did however print the info off and we left, sorry this is not how we like to choose a new item , will not return, purchased from John Lewis where we had prices and excellent service, please bring back price labels!!

First the good: The delivery was on time and the driver was very helpful & polite. Now the bad: Rude salesman, customer service even worse. Argumentative, unhelpful, uncooperative & condescending. I will not use again I would not recommend. To be avoided.

Poor customer service. No one on the phone when we placed the order asked if our present fridge was hard - wired -- beware ! So Marks refunded a "service fee" since they couldn't install the new fridge. The installer at that point said clearly "someone else will be back to pick up the old fridge...." Two fridges then stood in the kitchen for several days whilst we found someone new to install the new fridge. We then paid for an electrician and a plumber. When we called as directed we were then told since the "service fee" had been refunded, tough, the old fridge would not be picked up, so now we will apparently pay for that "service" as well. So, for this installation, three additional parties required. Would not use them again, which is a shame, since product and installers were fine.

Just a word of warning when purchasing goods from this company (Sorry for drawn out complaint). We purchased a Hoover washing machine in July, the delivery was prompt (around 2 weeks lead time) and all went well as other reviews have mentioned. Unfortunately after 3 washes, the washing machine started to smoke. We informed Marks Electrical who then contact Hoover to replace it, as Marks did not have any in stock. Hoover sent us a replacement within 2 weeks, which worked fine for 3 months but then started to smoke, the same as the previous washer did. This is when we started having issues. We informed Marks Electrical that the same problem we had with our previous washer had occurred again and that this time we did not feel safe with the Hoover brand washer and asked for a different manufacture as a replacement, bearing in mind my wife and daughter are in the house on their own most of the time, which is a concern for me. This time we were told that we need to contact Hoover directly and sort it with them and that Marks could not refund or replace it. After long phone calls to Hoover back and forth (around 6 hours) to sort this, we could not get any refund from them. Two weeks later they sent an engineer to fix it, he said it was the heating element that had failed, even though it was the draining error that showed on the machine. He did a test spin and it failed, so he took it apart again and found a fault on the main circuit board. He did not have this part, so another engineer came out a week later and said that there was another part that had melted and the previous engineer hadn't even looked properly, luckily he had a spare in his van. The washer was fixed again, until today (two weeks after it was fixed) where it again came up with the draining error. Consumer advice told us Marks should sort this as we have a contract with them, Marks say its nothing to do with them, Hoover said they will call back but we have heard this many times and have not received a call (They are now closed). It will be another 6hrs of calls to sort an engineer to come within a 2-3 week period. Just in time for Christmas.
