Colours not as they appeared online. Much finer than other "aran" weights I've had from other places - has warped my project.

I ordered their 100% craft cotton. I was badly disappointed. I ordered two bales with 20 balls. I using these for gifts and had at least half of the balls with multiple knots in. These were breaks in the thread and there wasn't a way to know in advance if there was a break in the yarn or not. I phoned the company to complain that there hadn't informed me that there product was not perfect. Said they were sorry but that this product was always prone to breaks. They did not inform me of this before I purchased and indeed there wasn't a warning on the website. I wouldn't have gone ahead with the order if I had known. Will go back to my previous supplier who doesn't home deliver but has perfect product with no knots!

First of all on the website it stipulates all orders placed before 2pm will be listed the same day. Mine wasn't. On the website it stated quite clearly. All of our UK orders are sent via Royal Mail,Parcel Force and DPD. I was expecting tracking information to be emailed to me notifying me of which method of Delivery would be used. Non came. I had to ring to get them to give me the tracking information. In general not a good experience. I won't be using again. In general a very poor service in my experience.

Mercerised wool was good and true to description, the DK medium range 100g wool was nowhere near as soft as advertised. I'd have sent it back if it wasn't so much effort and I didn't have time constraints. It feels horrible to knit with. Very disappointed. I shall not be ordering it again. Honestly, bargain basement B&M wool felt much better.

Your website states "same day despatch" if ordered by 2.00 pm. I placed the order at 10.30 on Friday 8 January and received an e-mail on Saturday stating that the goods HAD BEEN DESPATCHED. As it turned out, this was totally untrue as the goods were not despatched until Monday 11th and arrived on Friday 15th. Other wool companies that I use offer NEXT DAY DELIVERY for orders over £25 and, after this experience, I will stay with them. Needless to say, I will not be placing any more orders with Marriner Yarns.

It is quite annoying that the wrong item has been delivered when you need that item quite urgently. The good thing is the customer service is very fast and responsive to your enquiry.

Im sorry to say whilst the wool knits up very well, the sparkle make the wool looks dirty when knitted up - especially the white wool. I'll wouldn't but this type of wool again - and the unused balls have gone to a charity shop!

My order was dealt with well and arrived within the week. I was disappointed with the lack of thickness of the double knitting Carnival yarn. I make squares that are sent to South Africa to be sewn into blankets and given to vulnerable children and AIDS orphans. The DK is not thick enough and the chunky too thick for my purposes, although the variegated wool has lovely colours. I purchase a lot of yarn, so it's a shame it's not suitable.

I chose Sparkly pink wool. The colour was just what I wanted but when I started knitting with it the wool was broken, in more than one place,so rather than use it and end up with joins in my work I had to buy more wool. Was very disappointed.

my recent purchase of wool has been a disappointment. The quality is poor and no matter what I do I cannot get the wool to knit to tension. I have tried several patterns. King Cole Patons, and Sirdar. It just will not come to size of tension square. I have tried changing the needles to get the tension size. So I have now given up. I shall return the wool to you as it is of no use to me.I do not want or expect the money back.
