They make you serve yourself now but then check your bags when you leave, I saw this happen to someone.

Good selection of products but I am fed up of the queues at the till. Only 2 out of 7 tills were manned today (5 are self service that nobody wanted to use - including me!). Staff are doing their best but please - more manned checkouts and less self service tills!!

Ordered online on 13th October they said delivery would be 18th October. I get email on the 18th saying they are preparing my order and then an email from Hermes in the evening saying they just got the parcel. So what was happening from 13th - 18th why say it will be delivered on 18th if they are only going to prepare it on the 18th.

I always consider Matalan in buying clothes for special occasions but I have noticed for such a long time now that I didn't have a chance to write a review about their mirror, it's very limited and if you want to use one, you have to walk far away to the middle of the shop and look everywhere. Not impressed at all. I hope they will put an extra mirror for the customers who don't need to go to fitting room. Thank you

It’s a shame I won’t be shopping at Matalans again as I know and like what I’m going to get. I will of course reconsider if you bring back real people at the checkouts.

Visited my local store today. Will think twice about it now before going back ! Self service tills !!! What a palaver. Glad I don’t have young children because that would be an even bigger nightmare

I’m giving 3 stars as prices for something are still good but some the same as say John Lewis but without the good customer service. What have you done matalan, self service tills, where the customer has to remove hangers, security tags and pack. There was a lovely lady there to help but why are you putting people out of jobs. If you have done this to stop queues, it doesn’t, as people will make mistakes. I am a frequent shopper to matalan but not sure any more.

Not very happy with matalan, every time I order it’s all in stock then get a email to say some of the things out of stock, If I knew that to start with wouldn’t have ordered just to get one item pay postage then if not wanted for whatever reason then you have to pay postage back, , Fed up with it so not ordering again although I like their clothes,,

Had to return an item to store for an exchange in st helens they now have self service tills they are fine if paying by card but if you have a return or paying in cash or click and collect now only have two tills i was over 30 minutes queueing and one till had two problems and needed help from an other member of staff all customers behind was getting through served before us in front of them if they used the self service tills if i wasn't returning an item and buying others i would have walked out its put me off shopping in matalan now

I placed an order 6 days ago, was told it would be delivered on or before 6th july, now it's saying on or befor 8th july...still processing I think a lot of companys are using this pandemic as an excuse , I think 2 weeks is a bit slow , I won't use this company again, unless they get their finger out and send my order pretty damned quick.

Do not pay for next day delivery I ordered a lampshade on 26th paid extra (click & collect ) or as stated next day delivery it's now 29th I rang to ask why to be told next day does not actually mean next day ?????

I purchased some boots before my visit to the UK, however, they were due within 5 working days and they did not come for 6, so I had left and wont get to try them till I am back in the UK, not a problem for most I am sure :)

I love the clothes in M atalan Wellingborough but as I am disabled I find standing in the queue to pay for them, often over 10 minutes, unexeceptable. Primark have a disabled till in every shop why can't you help us. After going in today I now find I am in terrible pain and won't be going in again in a hurry which is unfortunate as I love your items.
