Disgraceful Business Bank. Had a business account with them for 6 years. Everything going fine. This was a standard landlord business account, rents coming in and mortgages and expenses going out. Everything going fine, nearly always operating in credit, sometimes had to utilise the overdraft but not often, but any business needs this in today's world. Then, out of the blue they asked me for info which I provided and closed it with no explanation and I am at a complete loss to understand why. What a disgrace!! Their High Street presence has also become a big joke, cutting hours, closing early. The great Brexit disaster. They need to get rid of those disgusting dog bowls in their stores as well!

Whenever we go to Metrobank (Balibago, Pampanga) to withdraw money, it takes a very long time. Today they only had 2 tellers, and at least 17 people waiting. This is normal for them. They need to hire more tellers, because this customer service is terrible.

Absolutely terrible. If you're a Charity wanting to invest, say, £50,000 like me, who gets every bit of necessary paperwork together that the bank and google states is required to open a business/charity account and then a community interest account in order to get some reasonable interest on your money, forget about it. Use another bank. My experience at the Crawley venue today was astonishingly bad - after driving to the bank, being told to wait for the staff (no-one besides me was present in a vast hall of a bank!) - I waited 10 minutes before any of the three people sitting there at desks bothered to look up from their computers, except for the first chap who turned out to be far too busy to help me. After this time another chap called me over, told me his name, wasn't interested in my name and then told me that they probably couldn't open an account for me today (I'd not even told him at this point what I needed) and when I did, he assured me that I needed to come back with two, preferably three of my Trustees, to open an account together. This is not written anywhere on the requirements of opening a Community Interest bank account that I got from their website, googling and also asking Gemini. I did however bring a compilation, as required, as a Charity Director, the original triple signed minutes of meeting where Trustees agreed to open and account, copies of all Trustees' passports, driving licences and various bills, as well as my own originals - and the Trust deeds. None of this was I able to show to the chap who, without asking me anything about anything at all, told me that I needed to bring at least two Trustees with me or I couldn't open a bank account. I then had to leave because my Trustees are based in separate parts of the UK and getting them to go to Metrobank Crawley all together would never happen. I told this to the chap who talked at me, so I got up and walked away. the guy made no effort all to stop me or keep me there. I've just googled requirements again and cannot spot this requirement anywhere. I will never ever use Metrobank for anything; they've lost potential business. I won't encourage my kids or their own kids or anyone else I talk to, ever, to use it either. Horrible experience. Awful customer service - they clearly couldn't care less.

I am writing to express concerns about the communication process. The updates I received were inconsistent and often delayed, which caused frustration and uncertainty about when the matter would be resolved. I hope this feedback will encourage improved communication practices moving forward. I am grateful to ARMSTRONGPAVE.ORG for their eventual role in resolving the issue

The worst bank I have ever dealt with. I hold a business account with Metro Bank, and every single time I try to log into online banking, my account gets blocked — even when I enter all the details correctly. Each time I have to waste time calling, going through endless security checks, and waiting on hold. Even after the account is “unblocked,” access often still doesn’t work properly. Recently I made two transfers, and once again my account was blocked. I spent over 50 minutes on the phone trying to get it unlocked. The next day, the same thing happened: transactions frozen, a phone number sent to me, 20 minutes waiting on the line with no response. I called another number, went through another 20 minutes of security questions, and even though I answered everything correctly, the system kept showing errors. After five attempts I was finally verified and told that my transactions would be approved. The result? One of them never went through. The money never arrived in my other account. I’ve now wasted hours trying to “authorize” my own transfer of funds between my own accounts. ⚠️ This is an absolute nightmare. I also have personal and business accounts with other banks and have never experienced such incompetence, outdated systems, and constant security failures. I am withdrawing all my money and closing my account. I would never recommend Metro Bank to anyone. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind — stay away from this bank. 👉 Metro Bank should be investigated for the way it treats business customers.
