I bought 2 rugs. The hall runner is fine but the other one has colours that are nothing like the picture online. Really pale and dull. I should have sent it back but didn't.

Although you are outside of the returns period, please contact sales@modern-rugs.co.uk with details of your order with reasons for return and we can look at extending the returns policy for you, should the rug still be in new condition.

The rug I ordered turned up and it was nothing like the pictures. Really Bad quality and a completely different colour. I was reimbursed for the rug but not the postage (which was £15) even though the rug they sent was not as per the picture. Very very disappointed.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear you are not happy with your purchase. Looking at your order I can see we arranged to collect the rug from you. Your order for the rug was refunded in full back to you, minus the postage charge to Isle of Man as the delivery was still completed. It is within our Returns Policy that delivery fees cannot be refunded.

Delivery service by UPS was non existent. Delivery promised on 3 days. Rug did not arrive no apologies given from UPS. Had to return rug as fed up risking more days at home for no delivery. Modern Rugs were very good and did an almost instant refund.

Rugs badly creased on delivery, suggested remedys did not work. (Photos of the creased rugs were sent)

Hi, Thanks for getting in touch. I can see that you've had the rugs for a month now and any temporary creases should have rectified themselves by this point. If this is not the case then we can certainly replace the rugs for you free of charge. Modern Rugs

I am very impressed with the rug, however, the customer service was abysmal. I had to chase my order on several occasions and even got told a lie that it had left the manufacturers. When I still hadn’t received it a few days later, I was then told that the information I was given was incorrect! The lady I had this time was so much more helpful and finally sorted out where my rug was! After all the delays, I must say I am very happy with the rug. It looks stunning in my hall. The material is of good quality and has an expensive looking design. I will be ordering another in a creamier colour.

After I placed the an order for the rug, the company later told me that the rug was out of stock. They could not give me the correct ETA which was very frustrating. I had to phone and chase up my order loads of times. Will not be using modern rugs again.

The rug arrived very tightly wrapped and when I unwrapped it, the rug was completely a mass of ridges/folds/bumps/curled up corners. Despite putting on heavy weights, there has been little improvement over the past month. I emailed Modern Rugs to advise them of the disappointing visual appearance of the rug. I have not received n acknowledgment or reply to my email.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Our rugs are stored rolled up in their plastic wrapping to ensure they stay in brand new condition. This means that they may not lay completely flat when you first unroll it. This is similar for example to when you by a new shirt or a pair of curtains which will be creased when you first take it out of the wrapping; but whereas these items can be ironed flat very quickly rugs take a little longer. This is not a fault with the rug; it is only temporary until the rug takes to its new shape being rolled out. The more you use and walk over the rug the quicker it will flatten out. This can take anything from a few days to a few weeks depending on the type of rug you have purchased. You can sometimes speed this process up by rolling the rug in the opposite direction to the way it was rolled in its packaging (pile outwards) and leave it somewhere warm (such as near a radiator) for 24 hours. Ordered rug which arrived in a reasonable timeframe and was a decent price. Only problem is that the picture on the Modern Rugs website showed a rectangular shape, the measurements described a rectangle-shaped rug and the diagram was again for a rectangular rug but the rug that arrived was a completely different shape, almost the shape of a Christmas tree. So not rectangular. My partner contacted the company to enquire about our order, the lady on the phone apologised and said she would arrange for the rug to be collected which it was and we were given a receipt on collection. But since then, nothing. The right rug still hasn't arrived and this scam company still has my money - baring in mind the wrong rug was re-collected at the beginning of December and it's now 14th January the following year. Either send me what I actually ordered or give me my money back. Appalling service. The only reason I'm giving a review of Poor rather than Very Poor is because the lady on the phone was so nice. Just a shame she works for such a terrible, thieving company.

Although I was quoted delivery of 5-7 days, I was notified after payment that delivery would be over 2 months. Although communication has since been good the website is still quoting 5-7 days for the same product. I have been asked to write a review but will not receive my rug for at least another 6 weeks.

I ordered 3 rugs which were all in stock online to then be told 3 weeks later that one of the rugs I had ordered was no longer available. And to get all of my rugs it took over 3 weeks.

The order took longer to arrive than indicated and I had to chase them for an update. They then delivered the wrong rugs. They wouldn't collect and replace at the same so I cancelled the order. However, the refund was made within the published timescale.

The rug was too small and not great quality so I wanted to send it back but no free returns or even exchanges so am not stuck with a rug I can’t use (sending back cost nearly the same as the actual rug.). Such disappointing customer service and so out of kilter with the levels of customer service of their competitors.

i sent 2 rugs back too witch they said 1 was marked i only had the rugs down for about 3 hours so i don't know how they got marked but they wouldn't except this so wouldn't give me a refund for 1 of the rugs bad customer service

Sadly the rug that was sent which was a replacement was of poor quality- no pile at all and the colour was different was the previous two l had ordered. Very disappointed and can’t use the rug at all

Lovely colour and size. However the rug is not well made with uneven thin pile. It also snags very easily so after just 2 weeks of use is already looking worn. I would not recommend

The rug is good. It has been rolled and is taking a long time to straighten out. At the moment we have put it underneath another rug to see if the weight will help.. Have read other reviews that experienced the same. Suggest you use a cardboard cylinder to support the rug in transit.

Rug was damaged when I took delivery, took over 2 week to process a refund after originally claiming the rug had not been returned, this was despite me providing the UPS tracking number which proved date, time and who signed for the return.
