We were convinced to by the stain guard for our chairs as we have young children. After my sons 6th birthday there were a few stains on the chair which they refused the deal with as they said that they were caused over time, basically calling us liars. Multi York refused to help and refused a refund on the service that they sold to us. never will I buy from them again.

Fabric on sofa and armchair has faded wear you sit within 5 months of purchase - reported it- multiyork have stated the report says this is normal and the matter closed. Good quality fabric does not fade within five months- therefore I must conclude that the fabric employed here is poor. Customer service were rude and most unhelpful and you cannot speak to a manager.

I have had a couple of multiyork sofas for 3 years, both have worn very badly despite very little use as we don't get to sit down until gone 9pm each day. They have both lost their shape and are very uncomfortable to sit on. I have written emails to customer service twice and not even had a response. I followed this up with a visit to the Harrogate store where a man took my number (although not as eagerly as they took my £5000 for the sofas) and he said someone would call. That was 3 mths ago. I am guessing they are not going to bother. Avoid their product and their service. It is poor at best. I will have to replace their sofas soon, before these I had an IKEA one I bought for £500 and had for 15yrs. A far superior product. It was less worn when I got rid of it than these are after just 3 years.

Buyer beware. Excellent in store service, appalling after sales service. Refused to provide a leather swatch after purchase of 2 (expensive) leather sofas making it difficult to shop for home furnishings. Refused to give the RAL number or equivalent. Refused to give me the leather suppliers contact details. Refused to give me the dye hose telephone number. In short, completely unhelpful. Buy your leather furniture elsewhere, most companies will provide a leather swatch on delivery as a courtesy and at a lower price.

I felt it necessary to write as having visited their store the staff were brilliant Helped me choose fabric paid a deposit on 27 July advised delivery for September then received a letter advising delays on fabrics would be October October came I had to call multiyork delayed to November again had to call As furniture had not been made problems with fabric so another letter in post to incorrect address advising delivery estimated for 21 December but not a definite the chair would be delayed to January 2016. Unbelievable in the Meantime have loaned me a sofa which is not comfortable. I have made so many calls emails I have completely lost faith in the company. Customer services have apologised but really multiyork 6 to 7 months waiting for Furniture feel completely let down and would not recommend you . MultiYork look like they make great furniture but at a much higher cost than elsewhere. I was prepared to take that chance when they had a sale. The staff are fine in store, but I found serious problems once the deposit was taken. Firstly, I was told I would be contacted before the delivery date. I wasn't. It was only be contacting MultiYork that I found that they hadn't made the sofas yet after 7 weeks and that there was a problem with the material and it would be another 7 weeks. During this additional 7 weeks they mailed me a £100 off voucher along with their latest sales, very good at mailing you the sales stuff, rubbish at keeping their active customers informed. I was given a new date, but again not hearing anything, I contacted MultiYork to find out that they were still having problems with the material. Only this time they offered to change the material to one of the same grade/standard as way of compensation. Which if they'd have done this before, I probably would be writing a much better review. On pressing them for actual compensation, I was informed they'd only offer goodwill after delivery of the sofas and that they'd contact me once they'd been able to check the material. That contact didn't come and rather than chasing them for a 3rd time, I cancelled my order and went to Next saving myself over £1,000 for the same thing and having it delivered still before MultiYork could manage. By this point I had no trust left in them regarding the goodwill, likely it would have just been another money off voucher to use in store rather than discounting the original order. In short, MultiYork, great at taking your money but you simply can not trust them to deliver or keep you informed which is appalling considering the high costs that they charge. Worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune to experience.
