Musclefood is a complete con! Took £4 a month for 15 months from my elderly grandma and now refuse to refund - even though it’s obvious they are sneaky and get people to sign up to this without knowing! Absolutely disgusting company-from the small portions and not great quality meat, taking money without people knowing or profiteering off corona virus... do not be lured in by the deals!! Read the reviews here and it’s clear you should avoid.

was expecting to fill my freezer with what is shown on the picture, even the break down In writing of what you get seems like a lot but honestly it’s rubbish, smallest packs of meat I’ve seen in my life.. would not recommend.

Rip off don’t buy from this company!!!! Absolute rip off! Missing items from my hamper! The meats so small and sliced so thin you’d be better buying Bernard Matthews sliced meat!!! For much cheaper too! Off to contact trading standards

Got my hamper today! It’s an absolute rip off!!! Make it look good in print but when it comes things are missing the meat is so think it’s like Bernard Matthews! Cud buy what’s in the hampers in Morrisons for about£30 total rip off paying for things that didn’t even turn up! I want a refund or trading standards will be involved Mark my words

Tiny pieces of meal it would have been £15 max at the butchers absolute rip off. Don't bother the whole hamper filled about half a shelf in my freezer not even that I've never seen a piece of steak the size of a postage stamp... Now I have

Con artists. Ordered a hamper that was supposed to be buy one get one for a pound. Only sent one. £40 for barely anything. Complete order was £46.52 worth of food, plus £5.99 for delivery, yet I’ve been charged £64.13 in total. They can’t do simple addition sums, clearly. The meat isn’t even good quality and they were trying to take the money from my bank a day before agreed. Absolute sham of a company, and just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, the only number they have to contact them is premium rate and they don’t answer it.

I would not even give 1x star! I am a key worker. My order, placed weeks ago, was due for delivery 2/4/20, did not show up & Yodels website states order returned to Musclefood! No explanation & Musclefood website shows my order has been completed! They cannot cope with current orders & are encouraging orders on their website & on Social Media. Also stating they are helping Key Workers. Had delivery/order issues before Covid19. Greedy company who do not put customer service first. Price hiking following Covid19-they are taking advantage of their customers! No response to emails - I want my refund! Shameful behaviour Musclefood - greed at its finest.

Hi Sue, Thank you for taking the time out to leave a review. I am so sorry to hear about the issues you have encountered with the delivery. We are able to cope with the demand we have at the moment however this is making the lead time on some orders longer. Your order was dispatched and then returned to us due to this becoming damaged in transit. Our delivery dates for non key workers are the end of the month however, we have been supporting key workers by allowing them a much sooner delivery/ I can see my colleague Connor has refunded you in full however, please can I ask you to email me directly on support@musclefood.com marked 'FAO Candice and I will ensure you are provided with a gesture of good will. Sorry again. Kind regards, Candice Customer Support Manager

Muscle food has some of the worst customer service I have seen. Be very wary of this company, they have hidden charges that they sign you up for which is a recurring fee. Read other reviews and you will see the same thing. I emailed them and said it was unfair and miss sold they basically told me to go jump. DO NOT USE MUSCLE FOOD. There are lots of alternatives try them

I placed an order costing over £120 to help with feeding us during the covid19 lockdown. It took over 2 weeks to arrive which was to be expected. What I won’t accept is the fact they literally sent a box of quinoa that’s it. Apparently 10 packs of quinoa is worth £130. I never even ordered that. I’ve used muscle food for a while now and it’s progressively gotten worse but this was the final straw. They refuse to reply to emails, Twitter or Facebook messages, there isn’t a phone number to call. I’m now £130 out of pocket and still need to try and go shopping. Absolutely disgusting service. I’d advise anyone to avoid musclefood.

Ordered a hamper that came with 3 extra hampers free, plus some extras totalling £100. Food arrived today and i must say the portion sizes are ridiculously small. They make it look like a great deal on the pictures but definitely not good value for money. We ordered from here due to shortages at our local supermarkets and due to the size of the portions we will be lucky if it lasts a couple weeks. There were also some stuffed chicken breasts that were supposed to be included with the hamper but we didnt receive those, instead we got bbq marinade chicken breasts which im assuming were substituted but there was no note to confirm that was the case. Very dissatisfied with the order and the money we spent. This order barely filled 2 freezer draws. For the same money spent at Lidl or Tesco we would have had a hard time fitting it all in. Will not be using again!!

Ordered two hampers, including 3 free, one for myself and one for daughter, totalling £144. I have today received my order and am disgruntled to find the 3 free hampers we’re not included. What I have received is very poor value and incredibly small portions, certainly not enough to feed a family. I consider the value of the meat received to be at the most half of what I paid! I want to return the hampers but not sure what the situation is. I would avoid this company at all costs!

Please avoid this profiteering company. Price increased by 50+% overnight... Trying to make a quick buck off the back of a global pandemic is absolutely disgusting. They'll blame supplier prices - yet Tesco, the biggest UK supermarket with enormous overheads manages to pump out fresh meat at almost 25% cheaper per kg right now (vs Musclefood as a pureplay/online business with relatively little overheads). They'll tell you how they need to increase prices and how they have lowered them in the past... Please don't fall for this spin. The social media team who regurgitate it are either naive to the leadership's true motives or expect you'll be naive to the situation. This is a time of need, where our country needs to come together. Remember that when you missed your mum's birthday this year, and when you had to stay away from the people you love even when they were ill or seriously at risk, retailers like Musclefood though making a quick buck was more important. Spend your money elsewhere (particularly where it's 25% cheaper in TESCO - a retailer who's typically more expensive than Asda, the German Discounters and even Morrisons). Poor.

Hi, Sorry to hear about this! We hate putting prices up, but we are seeing some significant price increases from our that we’re unable to absorb, this is due to increased demand for meat across the UK. We’re committed to offering great value to our customers, and will always keep our prices as low as we can , whilst keeping quality high. If our supply prices reduce, we always pass that saving on to customers (and have reduced prices of chicken a number of times in the last 12 months) but that means we have to do the same when prices increase to ensure we can continue to supply our customers with the great quality product they expect. I hope this makes sense. If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact me directly by emailing support@musclefood.com marked 'FAO Candice'. Kind regards, Candice Customer Support Manager

As a guy who once sung Musclefood's praises, I'll be singing loudly about this nonsense and have blocked all email correspondence from here on out. Fingers crossed that the impending recession takes you along with Mike Ashley et al.

PLEASE AVOID PROFITEERING MUSCLE FOOD. This company has sharply increased their prices off the back of coronavirus. Please remember this and use your money elsewhere. They are now 24% more expensive than Tesco (per kg) where they were substantially cheaper before. Disgusting and it will be remembered. Would not use or recommend again out of principle.
