“They dont seem to provide enough calories ina cost effective way for someone who is larger trying to put themseles ina reasonable deficit. The other issue i have is that is hard to create a plan with high enough protien content without massive carb levels too which is not good for someone trying to increase their insulin sensitivity”

“I used to order from musclefood a few years back, I then went vegan, and now because of health reasons I'm back to carnivory. I was buying store bought chicken breasts but wanted better quality meat and the hope their livestock are treated better than the ones we get in stores. Alas, musclefood has let me down on one point. If anything, their chicken breasts are worse than store bought chicken. The texture is awful, the only good thing about buying chicken from this company is sheer convenience. I also bought bacon, which claims to be fatless. Not so. Might as well buy that from store also and cut it myself. What happened? Did your company grow too large and you had to buy less than adequate poultry to keep up with demand?”

“food was good, delivery was awful. Bacon medallions where good and smoky, and the flavour of the meat is defo better than supermarket meat. I wish some of the meat options like the beef were under 5% fat. Delivery was awful. I was in all day and no one buzzed, nothing, they simply left the food at the entrance of the building, essentially in the street, I only got an email saying that it had been delivered with a picture of it. I paid 5.99£ to get food left in a cardboard box in the rain. Because I was working (and expecting someone to buzz), I only saw the email 2 hours later. So food was left at ambient temperature for 2h (probably 15c) being rained on. The box was a mess when i picked it up, and the fact that they left it on the street when the only thing needed was to buzz the flat number is appaling to me. I live on the 1st floor, not on a 10 storey building. Terrible work ethic and defo too expensive of a delivery rate for the quality of the service provided.”

“Would have been 5* if the meat had longer shelf life and was delivered more fresh the ice packs were nearly water, but on hindsight the steaks are good meat is lean and tastes good, get chicken tonight Spanish style add muscle foods piri piri seasoned chicken mix both after a slight grill on a foreman I.e chicken then cook rice season to your taste and bish bash bosh thank me later lol I will be ordering again just on a weekday so it comes proper fresh”

“Does it take out the stress of working out calories? Yes, Does it make it easier to eat healthier? Yes. However what it does well in terms of health and time benefits the overall quality is somewhat lacking, the products (when they are available) are great and the flavours delightful. But more often than not you only have a limited selection or to find something is missing from your order. Secondly it doesn't appear you can pair with someone else living at your address, in this instance my wife, so there is a double delivery charge. Overall, the food is 4.5/5 but the customer service is lagging behind.”

“Have now made my second order with MuscleFood. First order couldn't fault it, arrived on time, everything was in the box as it should be, food is great! Second order however, one pack of chicken breasts that had a hole in the packaging leaked out all in the box, the bottom of the outside box was soaked, and it also leaked all over the other food (some of which I had to throw away) and sticking packaging together. Kitchen smelt rotten sorting it out. Unknown reason chicken was open could have happened in transit to be fair and still happy with all the food, luckily it was delivered on time so managed to save most of it.”

“One product didnt arrive, although it was refunded, i was looking forward to the salmon, it was also delivered a day late. I work full time so had arranged to have it delivered to my mums on a specific date as i was visiting, she lives quite far from me, had to go back the following night to collect. Slight inconvenience. But the meat is always good quality and tasty.”

“Plenty of choices to choose from. I find the meals quite bland in comparison to other brands. The meals can also be quite dry and stodgy. I haven’t tried all the meals, my thoughts may change. Service was excellent and prompt well done, thank you.”

“Arranged and paid for order to be delivered a week later, order was out so long driver deemed it unusable so rejected the order on my behalf (which I never found out till I tried to chase up the order) I contacted musclefood the next day asking why parcel had been returned, new order was sent to arrive 4 days later and not even a sausage as compensation for having no order for 4 days or my inconvenience having to contact them!! Not the best customer service, but the food was nice! I used them for years and then got a bad order and their customer service was practically null and void, so changed to meatsupermarket and have never had an issue with them at all, they are amazing, but fancied a change, needless to say it’ll be short lived! The customer service has definitely improved from my last encounter, but you’d think they would have sent a wee something extra for the inconvenience caused 🤷🏼‍♀️”
