“Ordered a personalised blanket for a gift. The first blanket came and it had a black stain on it. I emailed and requested a new blanket- which they wouldn’t dispatch till I sent the faulty one back. Sent back the stained blanket and received a new one very quickly, however this one had a hole in it. I contacted their customer service (manager) couldn’t have gone any higher apparently. She was pretty poor and agreed to refund me. I said it was very poor as I was now without a gift and she offered me a £10 store credit and I could keep the blanket and receive no refund- erm no thank you, I cannot gift a blanket with a hole in. Really poor service and products, sadly won’t purchase from 1st years again. I’m still awaiting the returns label to be sent to me before I can send back and then finally receive my refund!”

“Customer service was terrible, phoned and no one answered left a message to which no one got back to me. Messaged on instagram they got back to me but then should have been keeping me updated with my parcel as there was an error and they didn’t. Very disappointing.”

“Disappointed to receive my order with several scratches and chips from the wood. Alerted customer service staff who told me this has part of the natural fabric of the wood (it is not it has been bashed whilst being engraved). Then offered either £15 store credit or to return the product for a replacement - the hassle of returning a personalised item does not appeal (what are you going to do with it anyway?) and I’m unlikely to shop with My 1st Years again after this - £15 not attractive! I buy a LOT of baby gifts and thought I would try somewhere different for my friends having babies number 2 and 3. Will go for something else!”

“Very pretty bag and love that the personalisation is embroidery and not a “sticker”. Only issue is that a few threads have already come out of the backpack and the name embroidery (this was visible from first opening the box and we haven’t yet used the bag as is for nursery so still stored in the box) so definitely wouldn’t purchase again for the price.”

“Always loved My 1st Years when purchasing personalised gifts. This time purchased a chair and very pleased with this item it is lovely however had seen same chair by my 1st years on not the high street personalised everything I wanted but really wanted in gift box so decided to go straight to company paid £17 more but wanted a gift box. Hadn’t noticed it said in small writing may not come in gift box very disappointed wish I had gone to not on the high street where it was very clear not gift boxed and saved money would advise people to look around as other places sell same thing and cheaper especially when they have a sale on”
