“We used to use Hello Fresh, only the recipes weren't very kid friendly and were repeated too often and the freshness of the food wasn't very good. My food bag doesn't have any of these issues. Food always fresh, recipes are varied and kid friendly. The recipes are easy to follow and have got our 11 year old into cooking a meal a night for fun. The website is easy to use and the extras are great too. I like that you get actual items as you would in a supermarket rather than too many little packets, which feels better for the environment.”

“We switched to My Food Bag from another provider as we were unhappy with the freshness of the produce we were receiving. My Food Bag is far superior in recipes and the ingredients quality - they are slightly more expensive but worth the price difference. Great sides and other desserts etc you can also add to your bag each week!”

“After trying a competitor for a while I wasn't impressed by the quality of the ingredients so I decided to try My Food Bag, and I am very impressed so far! Recipes are lovely and ingredients are great quality. 👍”

“We have tried several different weekly food deliveries and honestly we find My Food Bag to be the best for a number of reasons. It provides very, very high quality and fresh produce - always locally grown and made if possible - the packaging is excellent and minimal (so much waste in the others) - a great variety of menu items including vegetarian - easy to follow recipes and DELICIOUS! We took a week off and we were a bit lost without My Food Bag haha - for busy whanau it is a lifesaver - and it saves SO much money not having to go into the grocery store so often where I would end up buying so many things we didn't need! We would highly recommend My Food Bag and Bargain Box (sometimes we alternate which is super easy and another thing we love!)”

“My Food Bag makes dinners so much easier and stops me dreading cooking, meaning I can actually look forward to eating the meals I create. The flavours and recipes are things I wouldn't usually be eating, and it's nice knowing that even my 'lazy' meals are good for me and nutritionally balanced now”

“MFB has averted a grave crisis in our house. I don’t like cooking and my nightly offerings caused a few less than fabulous comments 😂 Enter MFB and suddenly all was well. We’re vegetarians and I’m amazed at the variety we get. Thank you SO much!”

“We love the food bag. Great fresh meals and loads of variety. We love learning new foods to cook and exploring the new flavours. For us the best thing is not deciding what to cook every night or scooting to the shop to get ingredients, it’s all there and ready to go.”

“no waste, great flavours and portions that are always enough - usually a lunch for two as well which is amazing as we are pretty big eaters! I love the ease of a pre-planned week and because the recipe methods are so easy to follow anyone in our home can come in, grab a box and card from the fridge and get cooking. Totally recommend”

“FreshStart has helped me be more conscious of the foods I consume and has taught me a lot about how to create healthy but delicious meals that are low calorie but also easy to prepare. I have managed to earn back many hours each week because I no longer have to meal plan, buy groceries or prepare meals from scratch. I feel healthier, I know that I have a healthy dinner to go home to and it has motivated me to eat more veges!”

“I love not having to go to the supermarket and buy dinner ingredients, and the plant based bag has so many interesting ingredients that I never would have thought to try or buy myself. There's always plenty of sauces, fresh herbs and other garnishes that really tie the meals together. The quality of the ingredients is great, a couple of times an item or two has been forgotten in my box but customer service is really quick at sorting this out.”

“Ontime, and super fresh. Consideration given to packaging. Innovative recipes. A good choice - or leave it to the chef and the ingredients arrive. Easy to follow recipes. I love the "no waste", good use of time and both of us can cook the family meals.”

“Takes the stress out of meal planning on my weekends! Great value for money with the rising cost of groceries. I especially love that free range foods are sourced. I often find there is more than enough servings and use up leftovers for lunches, or pop them in the freezer. Customer service has also been quick and responsive. Really happy with my experience.”

“I have been really surprised at how much I love the My Food Bag. We do the couples ‘My Choice’ and it has been such a game changer. We eat a better variety of vegetables and are excited to try new things without any worries because the recipes are so easy to follow. It also come with the right portions for most things which I am so grateful for because I really struggle with the idea of food waste and this helps with that so much. It also gives us appropriate portion sizes for two people which was something we struggled with. I honestly love this so much. It’s fun planning our meals for the week when before it always felt like a hassle. We don’t have to suffer through a trip to the supermarket- it gets delivered right to our door. Both my husband and myself are more excited to cook and often we work together to prep the meals. I highly recommend this, I know it’s a bit more expensive than what we would normally do as a supermarket shop but the variety of food more than compensates for that, let alone all the other benefits.”

“It’s like restaurant dining around the world, with every night in a different restaurant in a different country We have been enjoying our meals immensely. We started just to see how it was- Delicious Our lives have become increasingly hectic recently. Not having to think about meals or trying to figure out if you have all ingredients, & to have EVERYTHING delivered to our door is absolutely wonderful. Meals are full of different flavours, which go together beautifully. The recipes are obviously well tested as the Directions given for timing etc are easily followed to get a mouthwatering results. The meal choices you can substitute if you see something you’d prefer are inviting. The price for what you receive is nominal They’re only a phone call away if you have questions. We are so pleased we are getting My Food Bag.& look forward to delivery day”

“I have been using My Food Bag for several months now. Driven by a desire to stay out of the supermarket in a weekly basis, I find that 3 meals for 2 is enough for me as a single to be able to get through the week without a lot of extra shopping other than for basics. I can also often get a third meal from some meal options. I generally find the menus appealing and a little more sophisticated than a product I had previously used. I also prefer the mostly paper and cardboard packaging. Quality of ingredients is good and I’ve been happy to receive some more premium meat cuts without having to pay surcharges. I’ve also enjoyed some of the extra items you can add to your order. I particularly enjoyed being able to get a kumara sourdough over Matariki and would love to see that option more in the future given that I live in an area where quality bread is not right on my doorstep. Highly recommended.”
