“The meals are health, delicious and filling. The ingredients are usually fresh and of high quality, although some of the veggies have been bruised or gone soft before use. Some of the tinned products have short use by dates on them and are slightly rusted or dented. The delivery is always on time. More care could be taken when packing the frozen bags because some have been damaged and as they defrost, they cause the ingredients and the box to become wet. Last week the box dripped water as we were carrying it. Ive only had one occasion when their was an ingredient missing, which is very good because I've been getting the box for several weeks. Overall we feel very pleased with the product ☺️”

“We have been enjoying bargain box for our family of 5, there are lots of receipes and they are easy to bulk up if you want to ensure left overs. We do wish there wasnt quite so much packaging, that the meat came in the size needed, instead of 3 packets etc, but can understand why its done. I would give it 5 stars if some of the receipes came with fresh herbs from time to time, a bit of corriander or mint would really be amazing! All in all, we are really happy, the kids can make them, not too many dishes used usually and they are yum!”

“I love the ease of the box, and having meals pre-planned for us has led to healthier eating choices and a lot of money saved as we would be eating out a lot more. A few downsides to bargain box are: sometimes the meals we receive are not four meals worth, whilst other times we have heaps of leftovers. Also, on multiple occasions we have had carrots or salad go bad within 4 days of receiving them, meaning we have to go and buy more. The biggest bit of feedback from us is please can you notify people of the “pantry essentials” BEFORE the box arrives!! We have had to rush to the store to buy stock, wholegrain mustard and other “pantry items” because we don’t usually have them. I’m sure other people have experienced this, and it feels quite important to let people know what they should have before the week starts - even if you just highlight the pantry items in red or something so it’s easy to see!”

“Enjoying the meals. Just wondering about a couple of things though. One - you text me at 7am to tell me that my meal is being delivered. It actually doesn't arrive until 1-1.30pm. Could you send those texts out later - I would much prefer the texts arrived after 8am. Two - I recently missed creating a meal order (first time actually) and you did send me 4 meals anyway - thank you - but two of them were meals I have never ordered off you and didn't really like (also one had nuts in it). Just wondering if you have our order history and so could pick meals only ordered by us previously? But on the whole - enjoying the meals. The vegies could be more variety and more of them though.”

“I love the ease of ordering and not having to think about what to cook for dinner each night. I am finding the meals a bit repetitive now, and seem to be using smoked paprika a lot (a flavour I really dislike). But overall I am really happy with the service, including the chat feature for any order issues.”

“Super easy recipes to follow and they have all been tasty. The food box arrives well chilled. My only criticisms are the veggies are not always at their best which is disappointing. It would be awesome if you could have single serve sizes of some of the spices otherwise I end up with little packets all over the place and I have started throwing them out for that reason which is a shame.”

“We found it more convenient and quicker than the leading competitors product as their ones took so much preparation effort. The dishes are tasty the only downside has been sometimes the overuse of chicken and rice in meals and while the quality has generally been good we have had issues with the mince being grisly and a little fatty which was disappointing and stop me from giving it five stars. I did advise my food bag of the issue and they gave me a credit which was good”

“Food bag is great and i believe it is abut to get better which is good, as the only thing i would say it could do with a bit more variatey. It is so good not having to think whats for dinner and i believe it saves money in the long run.”

“Great for convenience. We love not having to think about meals. Instructions are easy and zero food waste. Food is yum. I wouldn't say the best meals I have ever had but definitely not terrible.”
