Hermes is an utterly terrible service. Terrible. 1: You can't speak to anyone directly. When you call, it rings off. There's an automated customer service chat which is also unhelpful. 2: The parcel delivery/pickup lies. I was waiting for a pick up all day and they stated they had been. They had not, as i was in, plus i had left the parcel by the door for them to see. The second day they said they had re-attempted. Also a lie. One job to do, and it's done so badly. Take some tips form FedEX, DPD.

Havent received my parcel for 10 days of despatching. They even blamed the retailer even though the tracking showed that the parcel got onto their system. How terrible is it? Why they still have 4 stars here? Are the reviews true? Haven’t had any good experience with them for 3 years of using.

Best place to start is everyone stop using Hermes immediately. They are a complete waste of time . Run by a bunch of incompetents. I cannot understand how they are still trading after all the terrible reviews and tv and press exposure. Not going to bother highlighting my problem as it is boringly similar to everyone else. But beware , if your trying to contact them by phone there are companies offering a service who to many unsuspecting people, charge a £6 connection fee. Simply disgraceful.

Save yourself huge amounts of time and effort by avoiding these useless wastrels. Claimed delivery had happened on three separate occasions when it hadn't. Customer service operatives full of platitudes but unable to actually help. Was promised problem would be escalated to Field Manager but had no response from that manager. Field Manager's superior "does not deal with customers" so no way to make complaint about the lack of response. Will not take responsibility for their mistakes, even asking you to chase up your own refund. After three weeks of calls and emails I'm finally giving up hope of having any kind of reasonable answer from them. Shockingly bad company.

I INSURED MY PARCEL AND YOU LOST MY PACKAGE IN YOUR DEPOT AND YOU ADMITTED THIS TO ME IN YOUR EMAILS. I HAVE MADE A CLAIM (INCLUDING THE FACT MY PARCEL WAS INSURED UP TO £100) BUT YOU HAVE NOW REJECTED THAT CLAIM EVEN THOUGH THE LOSS WAS AT THE  FAULT OF YOUR OWN COMPANY. AT YOUR OWN DEPOT EVEN AFTER TELLING ME YOU HAD DELIVERED THE ITEM TO THE INTENDED RECIPIENT. WOULD SOMEONE URGENTLY INVESTIGATE THIS AS CLEARLY THERE IS A MISUNDERSTANDING AT YOUR END AND I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR THE VALUE OF MY PARCEL. Surely as goodwill to a loyal customer for YEARS you would refund/compensate the £100 . STILL RECIEVED NO REPLY OR EVEN AN OFFER TO PROPERLY INVESTIGATE WHERE MY PARCEL WENT IN YOUR DEPOT. 2 PARCELS HAVE BEEN 'LOST ' IN YOUR DEPOT NOW. SEEMS VERY DODGY. TOOK YOU 15 WORKING DAYS TO TURN AROUND AND REGECT MY CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION. DISGUSTING HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS. USE ROYAL MAIL INSTEAD EVERYONE. My parcel has now been at the Tyneside depot for 10 days???? Every time I track it the same answer comes up. Ordered 3 parcels on the 29th May, two arriving last Wednesday and this one still in the depot one week later (10 days after it actually arrived at the depot) Terrible service.

Got sent a birthday present from my fiancé next day delivery (to be delivered on saturday). Was marked as delivered on the Saturday but didn’t turn up till the Monday after speaking to the courier. Whilst in the delivery system the box has been chewed open by vermin, packaging completely gone and 3/4 of the contents of the parcel missing (was sent chocolate bars.. know full well I can’t claim for them) the rest of the parcel was soggy and smelt of vermin urine so had to be binned. Tried to complain to myhermes but nobody seems to read the chat before replying so gone round in circles for 3 weeks and still no closer to actually getting an answer.

Lost parcel, tracking page is saying it has been signed for and delivered except there have been 5+ ppl at home all day and not one of them has seen anyone turn up or attempt delivery. Also no way of contacting hermes via website to find out where the order is unless you go through a d*mn virtual assistant that is mo use at all. Totally awful service, do not use.

Hermes don't even deserve 1 star but want allowed to vote no stars! Parcel supposed to be delivered today between 10am to 2pm...checked tracking details as it hadn't arrived by 2pm and saw the parcel was supposedly delivered at 12.13 with a picture of it hanging from a letterbox that was not even my front door!? Useless company as you can't even contact them.

Service is running like a complete shambles. Parcel posted 1st June still not arrived 9th random tracking updates which don’t actually mean anything. I know Hermes is having a complete melt down with parcels being labelled wrongly & being lost or delivered to completely the wrong address but they need to be honest with their customers. If a company is happy to take our money it needs to take responsibility when things go wrong and not just switch the phones off & hide. Hermes you are a disgrace this is people’s emotions, lives, businesses, finances & so much more you you are responsible for and at such a difficult time for everybody including your staff who I’m sure will be having to work under extra stress to try and resolve this , so Hermes get your finger out and get this resolved

Ordered off amazon, supposed to be delivered by Hermes. Got a tracking number, was notified it was delivered on Saturday, which it wasn’t as was in all day. Tried to contact them several times to get a response which is About as likely as platting fog.

Will not touch this company ever again. It took 3 weeks to deliver a parcel.they told me my parcel was lost 2 weeks in and could not find it only to appear a week later. Communication is nonexistent.

Why o why ! Did I use them again 9 parcels lost in the system , taken my money and now I do not know what to do !!! Absolutely shameless disregard for customer service.. Unable to contact, and their system appears just stuck in a confused loop.

Worst experience I've ever had, Holly bot is useless, can't email (my only way of communication because I am deaf). They say that they need additional information but won't tell me what it is. I will now be boycotting any purchases that use Hermes, they are useless, and this is not the first time I've had problems with them.

Such a shame they don’t have minus stars. Appalling service having had my package for a 2 weeks 4 days and I’m still receiving a message saying: “We've got your parcel and we're processing it for you” Absolutely pants! Nearly 3 weeks for gods sake!

Two days in a row they have told me a delivery has been “attempted” and they have left a note for me. I’ve been in all day both days and haven’t heard one knock and I do not have a slip anywhere. Every time a seller uses this service, I have issues!! Shoddy and useless.
