“Honestly, the worst company I’ve ever came across! I’m not going to be home for delivery, wanted to call and reschedule, because I know for a fact, parcel will be left on the doorstep, even when I’m not in. Normally I don’t mind that, but this time, I’m away with work, so my parcel will be left on the doorstep for 3 days... There’s literally no way to get in touch and talk to an actual person! I will be contacting Monat and asking, if it’s possible, to use DPD for my future deliveries, even, if it will cost me more, as they’re way more focused on customer satisfaction and give more flexibility with deliveries.”

“They have now lost three parcels in last three months and damaged another. I managed to trace one with great difficulty. One is lost completely. I’m now waiting for one which didn’t arrive in delivery timeslot and was changed to an earlier one that was past! I’m not in tomorrow and can’t see how to change the delivery day. Another one hasn’t been delivered and they say to contact the seller, I’ve now no idea who that is. I’m shielding and get everything online. They have no phone number or way to track. DHL is much better, at least they’re contactable. Postman says they have a reputation for leaving parcels on doorstep. I will now avoid sellers that use Hermes if at all possible.”

“First it was delivery tomorrow, then when they didn’t turn up, delivery tomorrow... after a week of ‘delivery tomorrow’ I got ‘we tried to deliver but you were out’ yet no card and I work from home. Said they’d deliver tomorrow.... then next day they said can’t find you we need to check address - contact us!! - however IMPOSSIBLE to contact - there is no way you can!!! Had to ask seller to contact. He got told package lost!! ... 5 months later still non the wiser, I claimed refund via PayPal, seller had to claim on insurance. Item was a bottle of blue shampoo for a horses white tail.”

“Absolutely disgusting service. My order was chucked over my 6 foot gate and no doorbell was rung. Luckily my order wasn't damaged but the box was. Luckily,it wasn't a gift. Not the first bad experience with Hermes, if I could give a minus award I would. I can't believe how they stay in business !”

“I was given three different delivery dates/times and the parcel was not delivered. A week later my parcel was found in the road some 5 miles from my address and the kind finder contacted me so that I could collect my parcel. I have been unable to contact a human at Hermes to make a complaint.”

“Whether you get good service or not from Hermes, or even whether your expected parcel is actually delivered to you, depends entirely on which individual Hermes courier covers your area. Hermes were a reliable courier company but that has completely changed during the last few years, and it is getting worse. There are many thieves working as Hermes couriers, who not only steal items but then lie and fabricate false delivery details to "prove" that the items were delivered. Some of them do eventually get caught and are fired by Hermes. Many are taken to court and receive heavy fines and/or prison sentences. By that time though they have stolen many hundreds or thousands of pounds worth of goods and many customers have lost money, sometimes individual customers lose hundreds of pounds. These customers find it impossible to obtain refunds or compensation from Hermes and eventually, angry and frustrated, they just have to give up. It seems that the regulation of courier companies in the UK is practically non-existent. Just do a Google search for "Hermes courier stole", or "Hermes complaints" or "Hermes reviews" - you will be astounded by the numbers involved. The company should be wound up and its Directors banned from ever being allowed to run any company in the future. The Government is fully aware of the problems with Hermes but are unable or unwilling to do anything about it. The company is a national disgrace.”

“The First parcel company. The courier didn't brother to answer the intercom and didn't check if the doors were open as I did it so. He also claimed he ring the bell three times and didn't hear anything back. The true is he rang only once and didn't bother to check anything. As the result, the parcel is now being sent back. Terrible company and bunch of pricks. Definitely wouldnt recommend to anyone”

“Courier refused to collect parcel as he had just had an operation, so couldn't lift anything heavy. He lied and recorded the parcel as "unsuitable". He also said that Hermes would not send anyone else. Customer service is very difficult to get through to. After trying for two days and 36 minutes on hold I got the parcel collected the next day, Hermes said in writing "Please can you reply to this email once the parcel has been delivered for a postage refund." Now they say: "As he parcel has been delivered we are unable to give you the postage charges."”

“I live in Canada. I received a message from Hermes that they have a parcel of mine and it had been delivered to Dove Close. I an unable to reach or contact anyone to tell them I have ordered nothing to be delivered by Hermes. I have a tracking number but cannot get information regarding the sender or the contents of the parcel. If my personal information has been hacked then I have no way of following up.. With all the terrible reviews I cannot believe they are still in business. Moe Ottawa, Ontario, Canada”

“If I could select a 0 or minus I would they claim to have made 3 attempts at delivery on two occasions I was sat in waiting. the first message re the delivery was received after I had left home .i have tried to contact them but it’s not possible apart from pre programmed computer responses complete waste of time like another reviewer I will avoid retailers who use this company”

“Waste of time, only advice i can give is avoid like the plague. My parcel travelled across 4 states in america and then atlantic with no problems, soon as hermes get their grubby little hands on it GONE, tried to sort but only get an automated voice. I wouldnt mind but the sorting factory is only 2 milea away. Please please please avoid for you own sake.!!!!!”
