“I received my education evaluation recently. I am very surprised and disappointed with the result. I graduated from a prestigious college from China. My orginal credits is 103. My transcript has been approved by China goverment education institution . Since I graduated in 1993, it was a two-year academic program at that time. After that, the college changed my program to a three-year program. But the courses they provide now are pretty similiar to two-year program. I do not understand why IEE reduced my college credits by 42 without any detail investigation and explaination. Now I am pursuing to get my CPA in Connecticut. A qualification CPA has to meet 150 credits education requirement. With my education in China and in USA, I just pass the credits requirement. But now, IEE cut my credits by 42, how could I meet the CPA credits requirement? It will take me to study two years to get the 42 credits. I am very frustrated now. I do not understand why IEE can neglect my education achievement in China so easily. This is really unfair. I really need to talk to someone who is in charge of this evaluation process instead of the customer service. My delivery No. is 2632317083. Please contact me.”

“I recently used IEE (International Education Evaluations) for the evaluation of my degree and diploma, and I am very impressed with their efficiency and professionalism. “Regarding the time taken for evaluation and communication the services are excellent and deserve a five start rating. However, there is a general problem with all evaluation bodies including Pakistani Higher Education Commission that they "Fail" to evaluate professional accounting education and they try to match it with university education. I have worked at a place where I had lots of MBAs in finance from many countries of the world including the US and many M.Coms. around me and none of them had the competency which the student of a second or third semester of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan would have. The course duration, when I attended was 2.5 years for a five semester course, after graduation out of which the first semester could have been exempt for courses taken in B.Com. then the course duration of ICMAP could have been two years. Despite this the course content and the intensity and depth of studies was much more than what is still taught at M.Phil levels. This fact was confirmed by a Chartered Accountant doing M.Phil from IBA Karachi one of the top business schools in Pakistan. And this point can also be proven from the fact that a graduate of a professional accounting qualification can take up senior accounting and finance position much faster than a Master Degree Holder from a University. It is the area that all educational evaluation bodies and organizations who seek a "Masters Degree" and try to compare it with a professional accounting qualification need to review. Please note that this is not a direct comment on IEEE but a general comment on all evaluation bodies and universities and educational commissions including those of Pakistan. Presented here for the consideration of IEEE as a professional organization.”
