“Ordered plates to have the Bs markings on them and when I recieved them, bs markings not shown!!!”

“The backing on the plates peeled off The leeds and GB emblem is very dark The writing on bottom is barely visible Waste of money and effort won't be coming here again.”

“Although the delivery was good. There was confusion regarding having a space between the numbers in the middle of the plate and the last 3 letters. Their software did not do this automatically. They would not honor having them redone. They said I had to read the terms and conditions thourouly as it was my fault. Typical get out clause.”

“Plates are made from cheap plastic and is just a sticker also does not reflect like a normal plate. I've bought better ones now. Cheers”

“I worked out the spaces I wanted then looked at the picture you did on line of the plate how it would look but when the plates came they didn't look like they did on line there was hardly any space at the end of the plates like it showed there would be so very disappointed would not use again Had to go buy new plates at a market”

Hi Pete, I have looked at your order and can confirm that your plates were produced as you designed, no text was placed at the bottom of your plates which would have clearly visible on our plate designer page, orders are run through an automated system and printed exactly as per the clients design. There is no record of you having attempted to contact us to which we would have been more than happy to assist. Shame that you felt that the solution would be to leave a bad review. We are always happy to assist with any queries and rectify any issues as best as we can but on this occasion I am afraid that you failed to enter a slogan where it appears you would have wanted one. “I purchased a set of plates for my wife car as I had brought a private plate. I clicked everything to be British standard and legal. The plates arrived with no issues stuck them on the car and sent the car for MOT and service the next day. The car failed its MOT due to the plates not being legal as there was no space between the letter and the number I couldn't drive the car as I couldn't put the old plate back on as it was a different number now and the insurance had been changed and couldn't collect the car as it had illegal plates on it as its now as MOT failure. I had to borrow a company car get all my wife documents and go to halfords and get the correct plates made. I did complain to showplates who told me it was my fault for not putting a space between the letter and the number I try to argue that having the British Standard mark on the plate should make it legal but showplates weren't interested only saying they would give me free P&P on purchasing new plates which I couldn't do asy car was stuck as the garage and I needed it back. Not the best online experience I've ever had I won't use them again and if you want your plates to be legal and MOTable i suggest using Halfords at least they have real customer service”

Good morning Paul, Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied, we always try to rectify any issues as best as we can. Looking back at your order I can see that you did not enter any spaces as mentioned, this would have automatically removed the BS details as the plate then becomes a show plate, as it is not unusual for people designing a show plate to want the BS details to show this is an option that we also cater for. Our FAQ clearly sate the requirements for a road legal plate if this was your requirement on this occasion and our plate builder clearly shows your design including spaces when entered. “Having used My showplates before (several times) I have typically been satisfied with the service. However, on this occasion I provided my own image and it was not reproduced as supplied. When I observed this my "complaint" was just dismissed and as these were a present for my daughter's 18th birthday I had no time to return them and go elsewhere - which I seriously wanted to given the attitude I was confronted with. I suspect I am wasting my time leaving this feedback but as you asked!”

“I was disappointed with the order as I was told I'd miss read the order procedure. I thought I had to order the plates as normal and then email with instructions on how i wanted them spaced. Got a prompt email the next day saying that it was all automated and that my plates were in manufacture without the spacing I'd requested. Personally, I don't think the order process is very clear when it comes to anything other than a bog standard plate. So not very happy with the plates that were sent.”

Hi Rob, Thanks for leaving us your comments. Looking at your order history however I can see that you ordered 1 set of plates with a certain type of font and then ordered another set of the same reg but with a different type of font, this is clearly displayed as the order is designed by the customer and therefore you have had exactly what you designed and ordered on both occasions. There is no history of you having tried to contact us either by email or telephone, should you have done, we would have been more than happy to assist you and answer any queries wich you may have had. I am also sorry to point out that you did not try to contact us with your concerns prior to leaving a review. We hope to be of assistance to you again in the future. Hi Sue, Thanks for your comments. Having looked at your order, you did not enter any spaces when you designed the plates and these were printed exactly as per your design via an automated system. The spacing between digits is standard and legal and not to be confused with failiare to enter any spacing where required. Thanks Gary www.myshowplates.com

“Paid for next day delivery but took over a week to get the correct plates n the end. Even though my order was confirmed as correct the wrong plates were delivered, i was assured the correct plates would be with me the next day. When nothing arrived i called again and was this time told i would need to send photo proving that 2 front number plates had been sent instead of 2 rear ones as requested !”

“Ordered a set of UK Road Legal Plates from the Website which were quickly delivered. The rear plate was a rather dark yellow (much darker than normal). I sent an e-mail to Customer Services asking them to confirm that I had ordered and been supplied UK Road Legal Plates. They have not replied after several weeks. Not much of an ethos of Customer Service.”

Hi john, Sorry to hear that, we have no email from you advising you werent happy with the plate being a bit orange. Our supplier is the main uk supplier and supply the plates with the reflective on, this is all up to standards and is the colour supplied. Apologies if you thought it may have looked orange but this is the colour of the reflective All the best Mike

“Had a problem with drilling plates backing came away even though I drilled them the correct way which you disagreed with. Had plates from you before but very disappointed you will not replace the plate free of charge. Got six cars in the family and dealers don't usually use foil backed plates cos of this problem. Inscape dealerships gone to alloy backed plates on their Mercs”

“Initial service was superb. Easy design and good delivery. However, I wasn't warned that my spacing was non-compliant and the plates failed the MOT only 3 weeks after fitting them. Other plate suppliers I have looked at show a warning as soon as an illegally spaced letter is put in. Possibly my ignorance but still annoyed.”
