“The said that they'd sent a plate. It didn't appear. Waited for 14 working days for the post office delay. Contacted them again. They said they'd sent another plate. Waited another week for this - which didn't turn up either. Finally on the 3rd attempt where they sent it via a tracked service it turned up in 48 hours. Lots of excuses about them being in the channel islands and the weather delaying the boat. When the plate finally turned up it was perfect, but their fulfilment sucks.”

“Bought a set of plates because they seemed good value. Car failed the MOT today because the spacing on the plates is not road legal. There is not supposed to be a gap between the first 2 letters and the 2 numbers. So I have had to buy new plates again!”

“Number plates are dull yellow and dull white, flimsy cheap material. Smaller custom sized plate has jagged edges where it has been cut to size. Plates also turned up scratched. Unimpressed for the price.”

“I have had plates made before by this company. I wanted a BMW M logo on my plate. Previously I was able to get this from the website. This time I had to provide my own. I sourced an image which was of the highest quality, but it came out washed out. I am not using the plates as they look rubbish. I don't know how they got through QA anyone could see the quality of the results was really poor. The first plates I bought were perfect but these were awful.”

“The ordering system allows you to produce plates that are not DVLA legal and no warning is given if you order by accident an illegally spaces registration. If this occurs Myshowplates view is its your problem. Plate quality, service re delivery time, etc is excellent however, but do not expect any flexibility re ordering.”

Hi Paul, Bit of an unfair review, You didnt put a space in the reg, We print as you type, we discounted the second order for you and accommodated, A bit disappointing you didn't mention this. I do feel we acted on the issue, Other companies would have said you have what you ordered! Have a great weekend Mike

“The plates are described as black and silver on the website. However the silver is not silver at all, it is white. It not possibly be construed as silver in any shape of form. Seller was not interested in providing a refund,”

“Poor Quality Plates delivered on first occaision, on complaing they were exchanged for a slightly better quality. Clearly the Two plates have a differant colour borders. Front Blue, Rear Black, I advise not to order Blue border for the Rear Plate as Blue comes out black. General Quality of Plates do not seem as good as others I have had over the counter. Would not Purchase again. They do arrive in good time though.”

Hi Stephen, Its a real shame you had to leave a poor review and we done the decent thing and sent you a replacement. Would have been nice to mention how good our customer service was when you complained and we dealt with it in a timely and efficient manner. The plates are purchased through the leader in number plate manufacturing and this is the product we have to work with. It does clearly say in BOLD in our terms that a blue border will not come out blue on a yellow backing, its the reflective that stops the blue from being blue. I am sure you know that when blue is mixed with yellow it creates black. This is unavoidable. Thanks for your time in leaving your review and we apologise you were not 100% happy. All the best Mike

“Following up on my 2 emails. I have never received my plate ordered, even though royal mail say they posted it, the signature on the royal mail note is not mine. I live in a private gated house with its own private post box out side of the electrical gates. I have never received my number plate I paid for and would still like this to be sent as I have paid for it and not received it. Plate I asked for: F7 GSX”

“I ordered my plates from Myshowplates but unfortunately I made a "typo" on one of them. I then had to order another single plate plus the postage. Despite attempting to contact Myshowplates to plead my case for a small rebate and ask why the registration was not checked prior to manufacture, I never received a reply. The plates appear to be of good quality and are certainly delivered very quickly but I would have liked a double check system on the purchase prior to final payment.”

Hi Phil, Not sure how we can check every plate when some customers put there reg in we cannot presume they have entered it wrong, its down to the customer to enter the reg properly. As you said you made a typo, if we called every customer to check their reg i am sure they would get annoyed, Sorry your review was based on your mistake and not our product or service which is a shame Mike

“Sent numerous emails with images of how the plate I received was wrong along with how it should of looked. Explained what needed to be changed but the person stated "I fail to see the problem" It was for a friend's birthday who photographs cars. Now his logo is wrong on the plate.”

“The quality of the number plates are very good, however, delivery arrived days later even after paying for express next day delivery. I didnt request for the spacing to be show style, the number plate arrived with illegal spacing. Which meant I'll need to buy additional plates for road. I would however consider using the company again just not for next day delivery”

“Actually the quality of the plate that arrived was extremely poor, clarity of the letters was awful and clearly printed in a fairly low resolution. In practice I was not prepared to use the plate as it ruined the appearance of my brand new vehicle. A total waste of money and I had to go to my dealer and buy another plate. Sorry for this feedback, I have used Show Plates before with much better results but after this experience won't be using them again as I cannot afford to waste money like this.”

“Ordering process was a breeze. Really pleased with the selection of products and pricing. As instructed on the web, I placed my order before 3pm to guarantee same day postage. Order was placed prior to 1pm. I was going away and needed the plates the following day, so selected the Royal Mail - Special Delivery - Next Day Guaranteed. Sadly Royal Mail didn't attempt delivery until the day after the guaranteed delivery date. I contacted MyShowPlates, who were initially responsive to emails, but became less and less so. Citing that they wished to resolve the issue with Royal Mail before addressing the issue with me. After a few weeks I felt that these were stalling tactics. I suspect that the plates missed the final postage of the day! For reference ... when an order is placed that has Next-Day Guaranteed delivery, once that order is accepted, then a contract is established between you and the vendor. Any failures in delivery are a breach of contract, and the vendor must resolve for you. The issue with the delivery is a contract between the vendor and the postage company ... and should never affect you. In the end I resorted to raising a claim with my credit card company who used VISA guarantees to refund the transaction and then reclaim from the vendor directly. So sadly ... whilst the initial ordering process was good, after-sales is sadly very poor.”

“I have bought plates from you many times over the years and had no problems This time however it has been a nightmare, it took weeks for you to make them, the plates were not to my design, you charged me for design work which was not done, I requested a refund or a new set of plates and I have been offered neither Please refer to the many emails I have sent you the latter of which I have had no replies Anthony Bower”
