“Newcastle Airport is an airport of two halves. The departure side is great and I have no complaints. Arrivals however is a different matter. There are only five e-gates, one of which is constantly out of order. There are always a number of passport control officials manning the desks but they frequently sit there unused until an airline rep decides they should divert some of the frequently vast queue towards them. The last time I went through there were three other aircraft that had landed recently. Not only were the queues absolutely ludicrous and disorganised chaos, there was nobody there to assist or control. In all honesty it’s a shambles!”
