I feel quite foolish - I should have checked for reviews before sending any money. I was looking for a case for unusual size tablet I had been given and Nigel O'Hara was one of only two places that showed it as available - I had initially ordered it from the other site they had failed to deliver so I placed an order with N O'H - two weeks later no sign of it and the string of support tickets. Requested refund. refund request acknowledged but still no sign of the funds. To be avoided at ALL cost

Worst online retailer award 2015 goes to..... Nigel O'Hara!!! They took £700 out my bank 11 days ago for a new Samsung flat screen TV, I received an email with my order number within minutes and the money was gone within 24 hours. 11 days since and 3 support tickets later and not a peep. Have left my number and no one will speak to me. Tried calling the shop, they wont speak about web orders and wont put you onto anyone that will. Have raised a Visa dispute with my bank as these guys are just stealing peoples money and holding onto it as long as they can. AVOID if you know what is good for you.

Avoid Nigel Ohara like you would the plague, order placed 18th June, no product delivered money held until 7th August!! I as others was drawn in to placing an order and Paying for a 55” Samsung TV on the 18th June2015 by what appeared to be a very attractive price. However after 3 weeks I emailed them for an update (they don’t give out a phone number, but if your having a problem with them I have included some below) to which I received a standard response saying they were working with their suppliers to fulfil the order but as no date was given in the reply I cancelled the order and requested a refund, what followed I can only describe as an expertly executed lesson in procrastination. Below I have pasted an exact copy of one of the more elaborate excuses given, in one of more than 12 responses to my questions regarding their reluctance to refund.. “Good afternoon, Please accept our apologies that you have not yet received your refund. Recently our Finance Department has changed transaction provider and as such we are unable to automatically refund the card that initially placed the order. In order to process your refund, we will need to take your card details manually. This will entail us taking some details from you over the telephone (name on your card, 16 digit card number and expiry date - we do NOT require the 3 digit security number). Please advise us of the most suitable time for us to contact you and if possible the most convenient phone number. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter and look forward to resolving this situation as quickly as possible for you. Kind regards,”

Placed order good price waited for delivery. Keep chasing . Then after about 2 weeks was told price gone up £50.00 on a £160.00 order. As I need this item urgently I said ok if they could deliver this week. They couldent say when it was in stock. So cancelled order. Then had to Waite 3weeks for refund. Got item else ware delivered next day. Looks like this company take your money when they know they can't deliver.

Under no circumstances should anyone use this company. I have NEVER dealt with a more inept retailer in all my life. In early May I ordered and paid for a protective case for my iPhone 6. After it hadn't arrived some four weeks after placing the order I emailed (no contact phone number exists as far as I could work out) them to ascertain its whereabouts. They informed me eventually that they were waiting for stock and that my order had been prioritised. Another two weeks passed and as it had not arrived I cancelled the order, reordered it with another company and received it the next day! I therefore requested in the 31st of June a refund. That never eventuated despite three further emails necessitating me to contact my credit card company on 18th August to chase them on my behalf. The next day I finally got a call from them to ask how to go about my refund (they had obviously had a call from my bank) I asked them to refund my card and asked given the time frames concerned in not filling the order or promptly refunding me if a good will gesture was in order. They flatly refused this. I've never received such poor customer service as I have from this company. Please take my tale as a big warning, beware if you intend using this company!

Nigel o Hara I ordered an item 25-July-2015. I cancelled this item because the company did not procure the item and could not procure the item despite taking my money from their website. I found this out after sending numerous messages to them. Disillusioned with the company I cancelled the item on the 28th July 2015. Nigel O Hara do not have phone number you can reach customer services. if you ring the main number they publish, you have to know an extension number in advance otherwise you get disconnected. I did find an extension on-line and when I got to speak to someone the call was disconnected. You are forced to use a primitive messaging system on their website where most of my messages were ignored or just closed. Fortunately distance selling laws came into place as of June 2014. Which requires a company like Nigel O Hara to refund monies within 14 days. Based on this experience I would not use this company again as I dont have hundreds of pounds to throw away, so I am sticking with highly trust rated online retailers like Amazon. Luckily I ordered with my Barclaycard so its over to them now as they will take on the debt, this has taken lots of my valuable time and has been anything but a good experience. The item was also ordered via PayPal who have taken up my case. That really is the strange thing that Nigel O Hara just need to log onto pay pal and issue the refund button. Looking through Trust Pilot I see I am not the only one who has had this very bad experience and on reflection I wished I had go to trust pilot first . This is the first negative review I have ever made as I always try and see the positive in any situation. I have no trust in this company and wish I had avoided them. Updated I opened a case with PayPal against Nigel O Hara and they have decided in my favour. I will get my money back in 7 days time 20-08-15 You have been warned about Nigel o Hara

I had the all too familiar Nigel O'Hara experience - bought something which was not available, then cancelled after many promises of delivery date being confirmed very soon. I too found it very difficult to obtain a refund, but I did eventually manage it. I sent Nigel O'Hara many emails and made it clear that I would take the matter to small claims court and trading standards if I was not refunded. I also made it clear that Nigel O'Hara would be charged for my time and the court costs if I was forced to go via small claims court. Eventually this worked. Retailers have 30 days to process a refund by law, which is unnecessarily long - refunds are very quick and easy to process. But my advice is to avoid Nigel O'Hara if possible. If, like me, you read this too late and are experiencing the Nigel O'Hara merry-go-round, be consistent and persistent and very firm. They are capable of refunding customers, just painfully slow.

Avoid at all costs! Purchased gifts for my bridesmaids! The site me buy them, then guess what. Out of stock. No response when tried to reach resolution via email, within hours of raising PayPal disputed finally got some response, however no items and no refund, PayPal thankfully reclaimed my money! Seems like I was one of the lucky ones!

After more than 3 weeks waiting for them to completing their refund process and several email communications (phone call was not possible) I had no other option, but to raise a PAYPAL dispute ... suddenly the issue was resolved within hours. Case: I orders 4 laptops with a total amount over £3000 , but they were not able to deliver them (out of stock).

Awful retailer, took 3 days, after we paid, to come back and say that item was not available. Now we can only hope they will refund us! Why selling items not available? Why taking so long to inform a customer that item wasn't available? And I literally just checked, WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE THE ITEM AS AVAILABLE ON YOUR WEBSITE? Don't waste your time!

Decided to give this company a chance despite the poor reviews I have seen. Unfortunately the bad reviews are absolutely correct. The item I ordered was supposedly dispatched 7 days ago. Despite repeated requests for a tracking number I have not had a single response from customer services who are only contactable via web form and claim to respond in "within 24/48 hours". Their complete lack of response and lack of delivery leads me to believe that the item has not in fact been dispatched at all but that it is merely a stalling tactic as many reviews here have mentioned. I have requested for the transaction to be cancelled and to be refunded. As expected, no reply and I suspect I will have to effect a chargeback via my bank and report to trading standards to get this sorted. Terrible company and one I urge everyone to avoid.

I was forced to lodge an official complaint after receiving the email from Nigel O'Hara which stated that they could no longer fulfil their part of the bargain, after holding onto my money for 5 weeks, even though the TV I have ordered, LG 47LB650V, is still available to order on nigelohara.com, albeit for a higher price. They only refunded my money after I threatened to seek legal council. So all in all, they had almost 2 months to play around with my money... and I'm sure I'm not the only one. How is this type of so-called business even legal?

I ordered a capture card for my sons birthday.. a week after placing the order, i contacted Nigel O'Hara to see why it hadn't arrived (when they said it had been despatched), to be told that the price had changed and if I wanted it I would have to pay a further £10. I requested a refund as I could buy it quicker and cheaper through amazon prime in time for the birthday but despite a flurry of e-mailed requests for updates and several phone calls and empty promises from their staff.. it took over 4 weeks before the refund was issued. No apologies and no compensation for all the hassle. Shameful company.. DO NOT DEAL WITH!!

I have the same story as many. Ordered a Samsung TV which was £300 cheaper than other suppliers. I was slightly concerned as I had read the bad reviews but had seen the good ones too an dthe company had been around for a while so I thought I would give them a chance. To cover myself I paid via Paypal. Order was made on 1 July. I received an email 2 weeks later informing me that there were issues with its supplier and that it was still trying to source the TV, this despite the website saying the TV was available for delivery at the time I ordered. I gave Nigel O'Hara another couple of weeks and then chased it up (31 July). I had a reply from David at Customer Services (Saturday 1 August) apologising for the fact that I had been forced to chase Nigel O'Hara and that he would contact the supplier for an update. He would then update me on the following Monday. Needless to say, this update did not happen. I politely chased again, which was ignored. I then looked at the more recent reviews and learnt that someone was in the exact same situation with exactly the same product! At this point I gave Nigel O'Hara 24 hours to either confirm a delivery date or that a full refund would be made or I would contact Trading Standards. That deadline passed at 4pm yesterday, I have reported the company to Trading Standards and raised a dispute with Paypal. This morning I received a message from David advising me that Nigel O'Hara had supplier problems and that the TV could not be sourced. This was an interesting development as it is it was still being advertised on the Nigel O'Hara webpage at 4pm yesterday as available for purchase and delivery from 20 to 26 August. I was offered a different but similar TV (make/model not specified) at a reduced cost or a refund as a matter of urgency. I informed Nigel O'Hara that I required a refund by 4pm today or I would take legal action. Hopefully the refund will be forthcoming. Avoid at all costs!!!

I ordered some computer UPS units, after 30 days I contacted them to find out where they were and was told there was a ‘pricing error’ and they needed an extra £60. I Googled for the telephone number and got the shop number, which said to call another number for online orders, but that number had been disconnected. Not a good sign! Luckily I checked the online reviews before they could call me to take the additional payment. I called Consumerline Northern Ireland who told me to not pay them anything else, request my money back and raise a PayPal dispute immediately. Consumerline NI said they were aware of Nigel O’Hara and their business practices but needed more people to contact them: http://www.detini.gov.uk/deti-consumer-index When Nigel O’Hara called to take payment I said I wanted my money back immediately, they said it would take up to 14 days which I said was unacceptable. I told them I would be raising a PayPal dispute immediately (which I did) and contacting Trading Standards and the Police if this was not rectified. The refund was in my PayPal account within 2 hours. If I had waited another 2 weeks for their refund process it would have passed the PayPal 45 day limit (after which PayPal do not guarantee to help rectify disputes), I believe Nigel O’hara staff attempt to push people beyond this limit in the hope that some people give up trying to get their money back once they lose the backing of PayPal. I also find it hard to believe any of the positive reviews are genuine.

I would give this company a negative rating if I could and I truly wish I'd read other reviews before ordering from this company. Placed my order early July for a child's slide for my daughter's birthday. Order confirmation received and advised that the slide had been ordered direct from the manufacturer. Nothing heard for a few weeks so we contacted them. They replied that the purchase price was an error and we needed to pay another £40! We told them no, that our order was paid in full at the time and they should honour the original price - they would not agree so we requested a refund. It is not 12th August and the refund has still not arrived. The refund is for £144 so not a small amount of money to be owed. We have now raised a claim through PayPal as we think this is the only way to get our money back. Cannot stress highly enough for people to stay away from this supplier - they are basically taking your money, telling you the price is wrong then not refunding. They should be investigated for consumer fraud.

Nigel O'Hara is definitely using customers payment as cash flow only. Clearly no intention of sending ordered items that probably dont even exist. Like many other reviews on this site ive been waiting over 7 weeks for my order just to be deceived each time. Now into the 2nd week of requesting a refund. Hope fading by the minute.

Seriously Listen to all of these reviews. All of the stories are very similar if not exactly the same. This suggests that there is something funny going on regarding this company business. Although I saw these the temptation from the reduced price got me so I decided to order a graphics card from here where it stated clearly that they where in stock. 10 days after ordering the item I had no confirmation of order and their online tracker did not recognise my order number so I opened a support ticket. This is where it became apparent that there was something off about Nigel O'Hara. They responded by saying that the 'In Stock' item actually has to be ordered from the manufacturer therefore not in stock. I stayed calm and accepted this and waited longer until after 4 weeks I raised another ticket to have an update on the manufacturer shipping the item. The support team reassure me that it is being shipped to them and then they will ship straight to me. more time passed and still nothing so I contacted again for another update. This time they say there has been a problem with the shipping and that they are trying to resolve the issue. Yet again more time passes and I ask for another update. Customer support admit to not knowing the status but reassure that they will find out when they can. Three days after this I get an email saying that the product which I have ordered is not available as it is an old product and is no longer being manufactured. For starters this is a lie as the card that I ordered is the newest most demanded modern card to date therefore they are trying to spoon feed me lies. To add to this I then go on to there website to find them selling the exact same card for £10 cheaper than I played for it and it still says in stock. My experience has not been pleasant at all during this time and in fact needed this component for work therefore thanks to nigel ohara I have missed out on doing work which has greatly put me behind 1 and a half months which will take a long time to catch up on. DO NOT BUY FROM
