“I’ve recently moved home and had the fun task of getting Octopus transferred over to the new address from my previous address.
Long story short, our letting agents provided incorrect information and it turns out the Octopus supply had been cut off when we were told it was still active. I called up to get this activated, and Carys took ownership of my issue and got Octopus activated within 48 hours.
Carys kept me updated via email and provided a swift response to any query I had, providing fantastic customer service along the way! This is why we love Octopus and will continue to keep taking them with us wherever we go!

“Shocking company. .. they ignore any complaint you make. Monthly I read my gas and elec meters. Never failed. I knew my costs, I could budget knowing my costs etc. Octopus then said they had to attach smart meters to both the gas and elec meter (it’s the law apparently) but would keep them ‘dumb’. Suddenly the elec one came ‘alive’ (it remains a mystery as to why). I have asked that both meters are made ‘dumb’ or both are set to ‘live’ just so I can budget. Seems octopus can’t answer emails.. or action my request. They remove the email chain, have a different person replying each time there is a reply (if there is one). There is no continuity… or consistency re response time (again if there is a response). They are very good at collecting money from my bank account though.. hence the one star.”

“I had a problem when I was notified in June that the tariff I was on was ending but I didn't realise that something wasn't right until two days ago when I checked my account and found that I hadn't received a bill. The phone was answered promptly and I wasn't put on hold for ages, like some companies. I spoke to an operator who was very friendly but because of the complexity of my case, she only managed to fix part of my problem. I phoned again this morning and spoke to Natasha. Again the phone was answered very quickly and this time everything was sorted to my satisfaction.
