I’ve took me car to this place all of 2024 for work. Just when to discount tires and said my rear tires were smoked out, trust your car with this people at your own risk.

Hi Michael, we tried to reach out to you over the past week. We are not exactly sure what you mean by your “rear tires were smoked out,” but if you’re suggesting that we somehow wore out your tires, that would be absolutely untrue. We would never under any circumstances drive a car in such an aggressive way to have worn out the tires, and please note that we do not sell tires. Your suspension is completely worn out, which we noted on our digital inspection. You chose to only replace your front struts with us, in addition to addressing leaks and providing fluid services. In addition, you have aftermarket wheels installed on your car and your tires (which may not be stock sizes) were close to bald at the last visit. We wish you all the best in your search for another auto care shop.

Be cautious if you are considering this shop’s services. I no longer trust this shop’s honesty or expertise based on my experience, despite all of the positive reviews. During a cross-state trip to visit my father, I had a highly disappointing experience with this mechanic. My car’s check-engine light came on, and after a diagnosis from a reputable mechanic showing a need for a valve body and solenoid replacement, I was told they could not perform the work. I then contacted Ooroo, and hesitantly agreed to let them reassess the situation. They claimed the entire transmission needed replacement, quoting me an astronomical price of $10k (which is far more than the car’s worth). Naturally, I declined. I paid them $142 for their time, arranged to pick up the car, and requested they not clear the codes. Unfortunately, when I received the car back, the codes had been cleared. The diagnostic paperwork I received simply said: "Technician Note: P2767 req new transmission. Tcc slipping. No point in doing a valve body on a transmission with 200k". That was it. Upon returning home, my regular technicians spent nearly a week re-diagnosing the vehicle because the memory had been erased. The same issue was found as in Arizona—code P2762 for the Lock-Up Duty Solenoid Malfunction. We proceeded with replacing the valve body and solenoid. Furthermore, feeling skeptical, I ordered a transmission service just to be certain everything was in good order. No more slipping, no more warning lights—the car drives well without any transmission issues. All totaled, with the valve body replacement and shipping the car home, I ended up paying just about the same amount that Ooroo’s techs originally quoted me on the phone just to replace the valve body. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.

Dear Shelah, we stand by our diagnosis and recommendation. Your transmission has 207,500 miles on it and we could not ethically recommend spending $2,500 to replace the valve body for the transmission given it's age. The best way to be sure that your vehicle is safe and reliable is to replace the transmission, which is what we recommended. We wish you all the best and safe travels.

Timing Belt Replacement horror!! This place was about $250 less than Green Valley close by competitors. Never going back!! You get what you pay for! They promised me same day service if I brought it in first thing 7:30AM. Got a call at 3PM they needed the car overnight as the tech got way behind. Picked up the car next day and the power steering was screaming. They did NOT bleed the air from the system. After I took it home, LOADS of air bubbles in the power steering reservoir. Means air was introduced in the system during the initial repair. FACT! Took it back and the store manager John was rude, condescending, and treated me like this was MY problem. And insinuated I needed a new power steering pump. NO!!! WRONG! Never had an issue till I got the car back. What happened was the tech got way behind, so next day he slammed the car out the door without a test drive. Mileage in/out proves no drive was done. A test drive would have revealed the power steering system needed the air bled. They cut my serpentine belt to speed up the repair. Then told me they provided a free new belt like they were doing me a favor. SO typical car repair BS talk. After all this, took it home after a 20 mile freeway drive to ensure all OK. NOPE!!! The power steering reservoir was WAY overfilled!!! And I had fluid all over my power steering reservoir tank on to the garage floor! Car has 185K, NEVER any leaks!! I was a professional fleet mechanic years back, I KNOW what I am talking about. THEY screwed up TWICE!

We are glad we could help resolve the problem with your vehicle and address the concerns from your initial appointment. We are sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. We hope to have another chance to serve you! Take care.

Went in for a diagnosis. Was told I had bad wheel bearings. Quoted a ridiculously high price (around$1700) to replace. Questioned if they were using a particular quality roller bearing and they said that would be an addition charge ( a couple of hundred dollars more) Took vehicle elsewhere for a second opinion and was told my problem was a worn “rubber isolating” mount. Replaced for $50. 10,000 miles later and all I well.

Hello Dennis. We're very surprised by your review and would like to address your comments. According to our records, the appointment you referenced in your review was nearly 2.5 years ago and you didn't come in for a diagnosis, but rather a brake inspection. We quoted your concern on your invoice: "the brakes are noisy, and it feels like it is binding on the left rear." Multiple team members inspected your brakes and could not find any noise related to the brakes and did not experience the binding you described. What we did find by listening with a stethoscope, was a left rear wheel bearing that was making noise. This is why we quoted you to replace that left rear hub and wheel bearing (our quote was for $650, not $1700 as you said). We also quoted you for rear brake rotors ($69.99 each) as we did see rust and pitting of the rotors. We informed you that the brake rotors were not a safety concern at the time, however they could potentially cause brake noise (even though we could not find any brake noise). Despite the fact that you have put another 10,000 without incident, we stand by our diagnosis. You were given the full inspection report with photos, and if our memory serves correct, we also showed you these items in person. We still have your inspection report and invoice and you were not charged anything for the inspection. We wish you the best.

How ridiculous is it to take an excess of 24+ hours for an oil change and an ac check. Regardless of taking 5 hours to even find a TCA break, the lack of communication, even after setting up an APPOINTMENT at 8 AM just to get put to the side of other customers who came in AFTER me, suggesting something of that nature to repair is upwards of 1000+ dollars is snakeish in nature and very bad business. Nice people to care of you as long as they can suck all the blood from its customers. Absolutely horrendous experience and I will NOT be returning.

Hi Santos, thank you for connecting on the phone as a further follow-up. Upon arrival for dropping off your vehicle for the oil change and AC check appointment, the technician determined very quickly that there was an electrical issue with the vehicle, causing the AC Compressor not to come on. This assessment was communicated within 30 minutes of your initial arrival at the shop at 8am. At that time, you were informed that it would take some time to diagnose the electrical issue and that your AC check would need to be changed to an in-depth AC Diagnostic, which would take additional time, and at a higher cost. We went on to explain that we would contact you later in the day with an update, which was approved. At 4:41 PM, we contacted you with an update, at this time It was communicated that the electrical problem was an in-depth issue, and that it would take time to determine the cause; also, that we would need the vehicle for an extended amount of time (over-night if possible). Otherwise, if it was more convenient for you, you could reschedule the appointment to allow for the additional time needed. You then approved the additional time and cost, leaving the vehicle over-night, and the promise of providing an update by 12PM, the following day, on June 5th. The following morning, the cause was determined, and you were then contacted with an update. This occurred on 6/5 at 10:10 AM. It was determined that the AC Thermo control amplifier had failed, and that it was a labor intensive repair, since it is location is inside of the Evaporator housing behind the dashboard. Every step of the repair process was communicated, all costs and timing were explained, accurate, and approved.

Minus 5 stars... I got terrible service from them even before I took my car in. The tow truck Catilina Towing had a attitude problem with me and wanted to drag my car sideways which would have broke my axle, and when I suggested I push my car out so they can tow it they left and would not help me and oooroo... called me and said because I would not them drag my car which would have caused more damage to my car that they were not interested in working on my car. DO NOT GO THERE... cause there only interested in making more money and not the safety of your car.

Hello Donnie. We take issue with your characterization of us and Catalina Towing. We've worked with Catalina Towing for many years and trust their service and professionalism. We received word that you were rude, complaining, and difficult to the tow driver and we found that to be the case in our own interactions with you over the phone. When someone curses at and berates our team members, we know that person doesn't belong at OOROO. We hope that you find service providers who are a better fit for you.

I made appointment two weeks ago for 7:30 am this morning. The brakes on my car were periodically squeeking and I wanted to get them checked. The gentleman said they would check them out and give me a call. By 1:30 pm I still hadn't heard anything so I called to see what they had found. The man answering the phone told me that my car hadn't been looked at yet as they go by first come. I asked him why did I have an appointment at 7:30 am if it was first come first serve? He said, its first come first serve between 7:30 am and 9:00 am. I told him I dropped my car off at 7:30 am because that was my appointment time and it was now 1:30 pm and no one has looked at it yet. He said they'll call when they get it in and check it out. Whatever time that is!! This is ridiculous!!!

Hello Sharon. I know you spoke to our manager Dustin about this already, but we wanted to follow up here as well. You wrote this review while the car was still in the shop and when you picked up the vehicle you seemed happy with the service. If you have any other comments or concerns, please feel free to give us a call at 520-468-7171.

I had my F150 in for a transmission leak repair before driving across country. OoRoo failed on multiple levels, 1. Their communication was non-existent, and they made unauthorized changes to the repair without contacting me. The price and the paperwork didn't match the work performed making it difficult to have any warranty work performed. 2. They claim to inspect every vehicle and advise you of any needs, which also didn't happen. Less than 100 miles into our trip the water pump failed, threw the belt, and the truck overheated leaving us stranded on the side of the freeway for hours. After being towed 20+ miles to the nearest shop, it was noticed that the transmission was also still leaking, so I wasted $700.00 spent on OOROO's failed repair.

Hello Robert. You brought in your vehicle on 11/16/23 and requested to change the transmission plug, pan, and gasket, due to a leak. We explained that we do not typically install customer-supplied parts and that on the rare occasions when we do, there is no warranty for either parts or labor. This is clearly stated on your invoice. We asked you if you were supplying genuine Ford parts and you said they were, however upon inspection we discovered they were not, and they were not even the correct parts for your vehicle (the pan you ordered was too shallow). We ordered a plug direct from Ford and reused your original pan and performed a coolant flush per your request. You left a message on Sunday 11/26/23 stating that your transmission was leaking again from the sleeve we installed. We spoke on Monday 11/27/23 and you stated that you were on the side of the road outside of Benson with a shredded serpentine belt that you claimed we should have noticed was an issue during our inspection. You also told us that you decided to drive out of state despite noticing the transmission leak. We do perform an inspection on every vehicle we see, however, the water pump is not a part of our inspection. If your water pump had been leaking coolant, we would have noted it, but it was not.We escalated this to our Director of Operations who suggested that you bring your vehicle to our Vail shop for inspection as you were relatively close to that location. You have not since returned our phone calls. We made every effort to communicate with you and take care of you.

Not impressed with them at all, price is way to much, their courtesy check was nothing more than to get a person to spend a lot of money, they tell you have all kinds of issues with the vehicle ,none of them are true won't be going back

Hello, Keith. Your review concerns us, and we want to address your comments. You came in yesterday to have your 1995 Chevy S10 looked at; you said it was having an AC issue where the vents would randomly switch one to the other on its own. Through our diagnosis, we found that the vacuum-driven system had very old hoses (likely original) and one of the hoses had come out of the vacuum ball, causing the issue. We contacted you to let you know our diagnosis and an estimate to make the needed repair. We also provided estimates on other necessary items from our inspection and let you know which items were more urgent and which items could wait. We have details on these other items in your inspection report with photos. You stated that you “didn’t want to put that kind of money into a truck that old.” We reconnected the AC hose and you picked up your vehicle without doing any repairs. We regularly survey the market to ensure that our prices are fair and competitive, and we will always communicate the issues we see to our customers so they can make informed decisions about their vehicles.

À part was replaced, but this didn’t address the issue I brought the car in for. The manager said the noise was “80%” gone, but in reality there was no difference before vs afterwards.

Hello David, thank you for your feedback. Our shop manager, Dustin, left you a message apologizing for the lack of communication and also letting you know that it is clear from our inspection report that the torque mount we replaced was indeed broken. Please let us know if you have any questions.

I would never allow OoRoo to service any of my vehicles ever again. The Queen Creek store was dishonest, and did their best to wiggle out of providing a warranty on the work that they botched, they also did not perform the vehicle inspection as promised on their website, which left us stranded on the side of the road within 120 miles of picking up our vehicle. The leak that they were supposed to repair is worse than it was prior to their work. I now have to find an affiliate shop in another state to have the warranty repairs made.

The shop wanted $1700+ to fix an alignment issue: Mercedes. Took the car next day to Mercedes and they aligned the wheels for $212, no issues. What happened?

If I could I would give them -10! Paid them 150.00 to diagnose an issue with my car. They quoted me over $4000.00 To repair. I got a second opinion and had repairs done for 95.00 parts and labor. They are rip off artists! I requested my $150.00 back because they mis diagnosed the repair. NEVER got a response back from them! DO NOT GO TO THEM UNLESS YOU LIKE THEIVES!

Speedometer still doesn’t work. Was told that might be an issue so I was resigned to accept that HOWEVER, the glovebox door fell off one hinge as soon as I got down the road. I know the car is old but someone did an oops and didn’t cop to it

Hello Paul, thank you for your feedback. You brought your 1987 Mercedes in to replace blown fuses for the speedometer. We found water intrusion in the fuse box and there weren't any parts available to repair it. So, we replaced the fuses for you and informed you it didn’t repair the problem, and that you need to go to a shop that specializes in old Mercedes. We never opened the glovebox, but we'd be happy to take a look at it if you'd like. Our Store Manager, Dustin, reached out to you––please let us know of any other questions or concerns. Take care.

We sincerely appreciate you being a long-time OOROO/Hickey customer and do hope that you'll give us an opportunity to provide services to you in the future. Take care.

Well i left a review on google, i have a wobbling effect on the left side of my car i noticed after i had the car serviced a week ago. After the first service a week later, I had a horn kit installed for a broken horn. At this time I asked if the wobbling tire or tires could maybe be tightened and if that didnt solve it i would take it in somewhere else since, oroos location is far for me. The tech just drove off never tightened anything. So i feel me not even wanting them to fix the wobbling that occureed after they worked on my car just tighten the lug nuts and if that didn't work, it would be on me...was enough but they didn't do the tightening so...i'm just going to take it into another place and have it fixed...If someone works on your car and they cause an issue they should be concerned to fix it not say they will address it and then lie...most people would have made a bigger deal out of it, but instead i'm just going to go somewhere else..
