Appalling to say the least. Send an email, its tells you to call them. South African based call centre even though their HD is based out of Salford. OB Telecom Ltd trading as Origin Broadband Soapworks, Ordsall Lane, Salford, United Kingdom, M5 3TT. Complaint after complaint to them that clearly falls on deaf ears. My mother is 91, reduced to tears by these fools. I have permission to act on her behalf. Get your fingers out Origin, listen to your customers and their complaints and stop bullying. My mother never signed or committed to a contract with you. Your sales team took advantage of an elderly lady in the later years of her life. Disgraceful

Worst broadband provider I've ever used customer services. Absolutely rubbish, they do not help you at all. They meant to ring me back 3 times and no one still never bothered. Contacting me back, my telephone line is meant to be cut off. But still on, they are absolutely rubbish. I would not use these or recommend this company to anybody.

Total waste of time. They make everything sound great when you sign up but don’t deliver. I’ve had bookings canceled, told no booking was made nbn cancelled bookings the list goes on. The consultant on the phone lied to me several times was not overly eager to help me told me it would be another 6 weeks before i could get connected. Over 3 hrs on phone trying to get it sorted & the consultant was happy for me to cancel my order with no remorse. Worse part is I booked in my appointment over 3 weeks ago confirmed my booking late last week only to be lied to today as I waited all day for someone to turn up, lied to that there was no booking, then that changed to nbn cancelled booking to be told another lie they could find my booking. NBN told me there was no booking made at all in the last month regarding my account. I currently have my electric (2 homes) & solar with origin & had gas at one stage as well, my accounts are always in credit Now I’ll be taking all my business elsewhere. DONT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL Waste of money & time

In order to be able to play online games on the switch with friends, you need a NAT of A or B. Origin default won't let you access that. I have just had to pay an extra $5 a month to play online with my family who live in other cities. Origin rip you off.

Internet works fine until it doesn't then you're left to navigate the very limited information origin has available. Operating hours are 8am to 6pm. Good luck to you if your internet drops out, outside those times

Terrible service, I have been bumped around to so many customer service people. And told different things. They won't fix the problem. They have reduced my service when I was told this would not happen. I'm not a happy customer.

I was having a good chat with Cody about my service and to my delight Cody went through the setting and fixed my Internet speed to about 60% faster. Cody, what a difference you have made, cheers.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Charged a $300 “new development”connection fee they blamed on NBN.. despite NBN already being installed on the premises. After hours and hours on the phone, being transferred to multiple incompetent team members, and many unanswered emails… I got the $300 back. However it’s been almost 2 months and I’m waiting on my $169 refund for hardware I have already returned. I wish I never trusted Origin for their broadband service. Do not use them.

Terrible service, every month at least 3 days no service for Origin opticom service, Origin service blames Opticom and Opticom rudely says contact Origin as you pay them. No one knows who can fix it paying about $100 each month. Changing to 4 G and ripping of their contract at least 4g is reliable .

Whilst the broadband was not bad and wouldn't complain. I signed up to origin and even called them telling them I was leaving the property a 8 months into the contract. They told me I'd need to pay, so I did. I ended up paying until the date it ran out for 18 months and cancelled with them. Now they telling me I owe them money even tho I cancelled. I didn't actually use the broadband for 10 months and still paid them as well that's the law and what was in the contract and obviously honoured this. After being a loyal customer and paying them all this time 6 months later they telling me I owe them 209 pound. Yeah that's right. This company is a con. You cannot end the contract apparently and now I have to dispute it whereby they don't actually get back to you and just get a debt agency company come after you even if you dispute it they'll come back after no investigation. Terrible company. Stay away from origin broadband and save yourself the hassle of them asking for more money and debt collection agencies, because they don't do their job and make their customers suffer no matter how loyal they have been to them!!

The worst customer service and the broadband internet I ever had in my life.they provided false details to customers.they only need to sign up the customers with the services to increase the profit.they charged you for their service without giving any service.they didn't cooperative friendly after they reached their target of signing up you with their service.then they put you in many troubles.you can't get the internet for month.they always breached their words.but you have to pay the fees.be carefully dont ever trust origin.

Some of the worst internet I've ever had - and it's supposed to be faster than any connection I've ever had. It started out good 12 months ago... now is completely useless to me Constant drop outs, takes sometimes more than a minute to load pages and sometimes the browser times out completely. Thumbnails on Youtube don't load anymore... My mobile phone (on a 25mbps pre-paid service) loads browser pages much much faster than my Origin Broadband NBN on ethernet, so much so that I now use my phone to create a mobile hotspot when I am in need of better connectivity for my work! I have a double service account - broadband and electricity. I have not had to pay electricity for two quarters, because they had been overcharging me for a different property I don't live at, so credited my electricity account for all of the excess charges. Origin are completely useless at all levels!

The worst internet provider I have ever seen. It’s been more then 5days my connection date started and still they are struggling to provide me Internet. There is been a problem with Opticomm WAN for which a ticket has been raised 3days back and still Origin team is struggling to fix the issue. I have called them literally 10times but no one could able to solve the issue. Every time they say 24hrs is the ETA!!!!!! From my experience guys, NEVER opt for ORIGIN as your internet provider!!!

I had an origin broadband For more that 2 years. Initially I had an 18 months contract. I moved my house after 1 year and they told me that they will offer me a new 18 months contract which I took. I moved again after another year. They gave me the same offer which I accepted initially. After a few days ( wWithin the 2 weeks cooling period of the new contact) I asked to stay on my contract and complete 18 months as I wanted to switch to a different provider. I was told no, the old contract is cancelled and I have to complete 18 months with the new contract. Their website says that if moving house there is a 29 pounds fee which I offered to pay. I was told that they don't do this and if I move I have to start a new 18 months contract so as they can recoup their costs. I can't move on the old contract which is basically false advertisement. My only options are to complete 18 months or pay the left over 6 months (170 pounds) from the old contract. But I can't finish my old contract in a new address as per their words " that is not how to run a buisiness". As far as I'm concerned, this is how you run a scam.
