About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

I recently purchased 4 items on 2 seperate purchases. I paid for these items and then it was a month between payment and recieving my items. Turns out they didn't actually have anything in stock that I had ordered. The support was not as quick as I would have hoped for.

We are still waiting on a delivery supposed to be shipped on the 28/4 but not received and offered a refund or wait until stock arrived so still waiting order N1173343 incase some one reads this

Horrible, after waiting a week I was told they were waiting for the product, I then asked for a refund as I needed the product for an upcoming trip. So instead it got sent anyway and arrived 2 weeks later. Didn’t make it for my trip, now I need to pay to send it back. Thanks for the horrible service, poor communication and the very late delivery

I order a lock, they sent me the incorrect item. When I rang to let them know, I had to prove it, return item and wait for the to get it back before I could get the item I paid for. I am still waiting for my item, and no reply to my emails. I have proof they have received my return.

Got my money back, I cancelled the order... I found it deceptive to have an item in stock on your website only to drop ship it and take over a week to travel less than 100km from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast. honesty goes a long way. You have lost a customer

Very bad customer service.Took 4 weeks to recieve goods and one was missing when it finally arrived it was wrong ,they sent me 2 of the same thing.When I phoned to report they made me feel as if it was my fault . And to rectify the order I had to jump through all these hoops as if I worked for them. One guy even told me to knock on my neighbours door to borrow his printer as I dont have one😳

The worst purchase experience I have ever had. Customer service is poor, they don’t even ring back after they say they will. I still haven’t received my item and it’s been well over a month.

I ordered a caravan cover. The wrong size was sent. Customer service becomes non existant when they need to rectify a mistake they made. Over one month later and I am still waiting for the correct cover. I tried ringing several times but am left to wait on hold for over ten minutes before I give up.Its like they are blocking my number.

I bought a companion gas burner, it is absolutely rubbish. Makes loud noise and turns off regularly. I can't use it now

2 weeks since order was placed and still nothing not even tracking number provided "apparently goods need to be ordered from supplier" why sell things that you don't have.

Terrible experience, ordering was easy but then the incorrect item was picked and delivered. Dont know how the incorrect item was picked when the size difference was clear to see before even opening the package. Then told I had to take incorrect package to post office and send item back and wait for once again for the correct item to be sent. I filled in the return form sent the tracking number and 3 weeks later I had to chase up Outback Equip again for my item or refund. Told there had been another error and the refund would now be another 5 days. Appalling service, will never use Outback Quipment again.

Due to outback equipment sending my boat trailer stone guards to the wrong state I didn’t receive my correct package for approx 6 wks. When i received the wrong package outback equipment also provided a consignment notice for aus post to send it back to them, however ais post does not accept packages of the size required, therefore after several more emails and phone calls an appropriate transporter was organised to send the wrong package back to outback equipment, which would then allow outback equipment to finally send the correct package. The whole ordeal was ridiculous and ill never buy from them again. Due to my package arriving over a month late i now also have some stone chips on my brand new boat because my stone guards arrived so long after they were ordered. What a show. Never again.

It took 2 weeks from when i ordered to when it was posted. When it arrived it was wrong item. I had to buy items from townsville at a significant extra coat. Sent items back for refund. Cost of items where refunded but i,m still out of pocket postage.

Very disappointed 1st time i made a purchase with ob. Took a month to deliver. I enquired several times as to how my order was processing and got a response after 2 days telling me it was about to shop, it didn’t ship!! I purchased the same product from anaconda and it was delivered in 4 days.

products are great but wouldnt use them again i have purchased twice now and both times waited 4 weeks for my stuff tried to contact them but got no reply bad service

Waiting weeks for an item you advertised you had in stock. Needed that part and you didn't tell me about the delay, then blamed a supplier when questioned but still wouldn't give me a definate delivery date. Ended up giving up with you and getting a refund. Then ordered elsewhere and received in 2 days.

Not good in my case, took 3-4 weeks to get the part and it was the wrong part … I could of got a refund but I couldn’t be bothered boxing up the part and posting it back … wast of time and $$

Product was excellent, customer service was the worst. Had a package delivered and it got sent to the wrong address. Then it was up to me to sort it out. No one ever got back to me, had to ring up every day just to be put on hold and wait… Very poor communication
