About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

Terrible shipping times and terrible customer service. Don’t believe the shipping times quoted on the website, expect to wait weeks to months.

Had to cancel my order, waited 3 weeks and decided to contact outback equipment to find out my order was still another month or 2 away with no communication about this, will never buy from outback equipment.

Absolutely appalling service. Do not buy from these people. Waited over a month to still not get my order then had to wait and wait to get a refund. Should not be in business.

Extremely poor customer service. Turn around time between ordering and shipping is ridiculous. Communication when submitting a warranty claim is non existent and to not be able to call an Australian company to follow up on anything is outrages. Will never use or recommend this comao g again

Hopeless. Order took weeks to dispatch despite all items listed as in stock. Customer support slow to respond, eventually refunded part of the order but didn't reimburse for the shipping component. Other items arrived long after the trip they were bought for.

My order took over a month to come. When it did arrive the product is not what was advertised. I am still waiting on a response from the customer team via email about this issue and have no way of calling anyone as the phones are turned off.

Cant trust them to deliver a $5 item , so would not use them for anything that more money , nope dont recomend , cant see me using them again , dont ask my opion unless you want my honest answer

I ordered product for a trip in January. After many inquries it became obivious that Outback Equipment advertise and sell product they do'nt even have in store or warehouse. I recieved it in March after the ship had landed.

I ordered a superior engineering steering damper for a patrol as it was cheaper than going through superior and I found out why. The website says 4-6 days for delivery but after a week I phoned up and the lady told me it was another 2-3 weeks away because superior were out of stock and it was being manufactured. I phoned superior who told me they had more than 70 on the shelf and ready to go. Outback refunded my order and I went with Superior (which is what I should have done first time) who had the item to me in a couple of days. I wouldn't use outback equipment again.

Hi yes just received them very disappointed in the packaging My first batch was in a box and bubble wrapped, This time just in a bag on bubble wrap. This is not up to your normal standards, what is going on at your place, Very disappointing and I do hope they are not damaged or cracked. All the money I’ve spent with you and items have never come like this to me 🙁

It has been a month and I have not recieved my order. Only communication is via email and no reply sometimes. No resolution to when I will get my order. Very dissapointed.

My tow bar turned up missing parts which I discovered mid install, I had to uninstall and re fit the bumper to get the car back on the road for my wife. Extremely inconvenient! Communication has been slow and I still don't know ow if the missing parts have been sent out to me.

Ordered waited weeks, no communication, ended up contacting them they were waiting for stock to come in, still no contact, ended up asking for a refund as it took forever.

Purchased Emperor padded chair not realising that even when in the most upright position it is still reclining which after a weekend of being away and using it I was left with severe back pain. Enquired about swapping for a different chair but unable to as it had been used. Purchased a new chair elsewhere went away camping for Easter no back pain. Chair needs to be advertised that it is always in a recline position

Working with this company has been one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made. They shipped the product—listed as “in stock” on their website—only after 1 month. When I tried to cancel my order, they kept my money and told me they would not refund it. I hope you stay away from these dodgy people when shopping.
