About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Appalling service and follow up. I was told to expect delivery in about two weeks. Its now over ten weeks since I ordered. Don't bother phoning the service dept as the auto answer machine is all you get. I've sent multiple emails about the delay. In response I've received multiple new estimated arrival times, with the delays blamed on the Australian manufacturer. I've contacted the manufacturer in WA who stated there are no issues with supply. I rarely write bad reviews but in this case it is warranted

Ordered a throttle control on web. Was given a delivery of around 6 days. Two week later no sign of the goods. Made an 'email' inquiry because they are all obviously too busy to answer phones anymore. Was told they would look into it. A week later nothing...nada...bubkiss. Took another email to say either get me the goods or give me a refund. Was advised a refund would be processed asap. Week later nothing again, are you kidding me!! Anyway, another email cause remember, 'we don't do phone calls anymore' couple days later all apologies etc. Don't waste your time dealing with these fools. Also, to make it worse, I live in the same city as the business! Seriously, I have had stuff from UK and USA arrive without issue and in two weeks!

I would never order from this company again. I was told my order was coming for over a month. I contacted the company for an update when I hadn’t heard anything from them & my order was apparently delayed further. The only time I received updates was when I was chasing them. The company should contact you if your delivery is delayed not vice versa. I even had to chase up my refund when that didn’t get processed within the timeframe. I happily ordered the same item through another company & it was delivered with 3 days. I wish I had read the comments on the facebook page & read reviews before ordering from outback equipment. At least I got my money back eventually I guess.

NIL customer service No contact phone number- well yes there is one but it goes to msg bank saying this phone is not monitored. Says to ,Send an email-so I did, and ten days later, still no reply.

Ordered and payed in full and received invoice paid in full and shipping 3 weeks ago. Outback cant call them i have emailed a few times but NO response Have bought from them before but they have let them selves down now keep having sales but cant supply what has already been sold

A very disappointing supplier. Send me someone else's order. Fail to send the instructions on how to return their error. Had to be asked twice. The item I ordered is yet to be supplied as they are out of stock. I would not reorder from or recommend Outback Equipment

I purchased a water tank from Outback equipment for the advertised price of $240, however when i completed the deal they charged me $348 ! They did reimburse me when I complained but then made me wait weeks for delivery. Not a good first time dealing with this company.

more than 3 months waiting on a silly return. unaceptable, careless, lack of interest and victimist. bought an item from outback equipment in February 2026 and after opening and discovering the item was DEFECTIVE I asked for a full return as I decided to buy a symilar item from a different shop. after more than 14 emails back and forth and sending me a new unit eventhough I asked for a return, your team took me trough a warranty claim intead of a return. not only that but after explaning multiple times what I wanted and making sure this mistake didn't happen again your team member called me out and told me that everyone makes mistakes, when in reality I'm here waiting for a simple return of $48 on a defective product I bought back in february (and also took to a post office to retur to your company in my clear inconvinece). so yeah, nah. defenetly not happy with your store. I worked myself to the public for over 10 years and I think I habe been plenty undertandable but this is just a joke by now.

Very poor experience. Products arrived damaged, leaking and essentially empty, in a half-opened box that had been badly wrapped. One product was completely missing. The company refused to refund or replace the items and has ghosted us. This is unacceptable service and a clear failure to deliver what was paid for. I would strongly advise others to avoid.

Horrible stock issue and shipping delays, to not have any items in stock when you clearly advertise for it but have to wait 5 weeks for your order to get to you is ridiculous.

Ordered parts. Three weeks later you admitted it would take at least two to three more weeks. No advice when placing order that parts not in stock or even available. After obtaining refund I walked into local RTM and purchased required parts off shelf.

The worst company to deal with,wouldnt answer emails ,slowest shipping ever ,when they finaly answered an email they told me my parts had been posted a day eairler but they hadn't,when they were finaly posted the tracking said they had received my parts 2 days after outback equpment had said they had posted them .I will never buy from this comany ever again

This store sells things online that they don’t have in stock - communication is difficult as was getting a refund for an item that kept getting ‘delayed’. Wish I’d read other peoples reviews before purchasing from their online store.

You're pretty brave emailing me requesting a review. Not only do you sell stuff that you don't stock, but then it takes no input from your company to advise of this. You even accept priority express shipping fees, knowing that the items are only going to be express posted once you finally get the item in stock in a month or so. Just take the money, sit back and wait for the customer to ask where the goods are that they paid for weeks prior. Then, when we say bugger it, you don't stock it, give my money back, we then have to argue for weeks again to attempt to get the money back. Only when the purchase is disputed with the bank do you finally refund the money. Would I buy from you again? HELL NO. Would I recommend using Outback Equipment to a friend or colleague? ABSOLUTELY HELL NO...

Ordered radiator protection screen for LC200. Item was never sent. After repeatedly calling them them and then finally requesting refund then suddenly decided to send item. Item then arrived missing 4 plastic washers so additional hardware was required to install and final fitment was not good. Poor service the entire time. Will not purchase from Outback again.

Didn’t tell me product was out of stock for three weeks. Then took another week to arrive. Very disappointed and won’t shop with them again. Happy with product, just no service
