About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Lists items as on sale ships within 7 days and weeks delays for delivery, so slow on my first order I had to pickup from store and the second order I cancelled because there was such a delay. Slow response receiving refund. Great pricing if not in a rush but wouldn’t recommend if you want the items in a normal timeframe regardless of paying for express shipping.

Purchased spreader bars on the 26th of Febuary, still dont have them and its the end of March and have emailed them twice and had no responce :-( Will have to use the caravan at easter without them now

Been waiting for my order for 16 days now , no one answer the phone and three days now no response to my email enquires as to tracking details or my order status. Extremely disappointed. I’m leaving on a holiday in seven days time so looking a lot like I won’t have any idea what is happening with my goods 👎

We have been experiencing higher volumes of enquires recently and aim to answer those as quickly as possible. If I could give zero stars, I would.... but I spose one star for at least giving me my refund eventually is warranted. I ordered a product that was shown online as 'in stock'. I then heard nothing from Outback Equipment for weeks and nothing arrived. When I contacted them they got back to me 4 days later saying the item was out of stock and expected to be restocked shortly. Once again, zero contact or information from them. This happened 3 times until 6 weeks after I ordered the product I asked for a refund. This they did manage to at least process within 3 days. I was not in a rush for the item but their total disregard for customer experience and communication (3 times) is simply not acceptable and I began to think it was a scam.

shipping is absolutely shocking. placed an order 02/03/26. recieved half an order, after waiting 3 weeks, now been informed the other half it will not even be dispatched until 05/04/26 from they're warehouse. let alone then be shipped to address review is not for actual products below.

Their ordering system allowed me to order 2 of the same item when they only had 1 in stock. It has been over a month now and they still have not received the second item. Very poor service.

I had to drive to the dispatch centre at Acacia Ridge to receive an online delivery order that was needed urgently. Had to wait out the front for close to an hour. I’m pretty certain they were all stock items.

Unfortunately our 1st order didn't leave Archerfield. We emailed to have it checked and no record was found. We had it resent a 2nd time and it's been in Archerfield again all of last week. We have sent another email to ask for it to be followed up. We believe you have a great business but the must be an issue with dispatch.

Don't waste your time with this company. website said 7 days to ship has been over a month. endless calls to find out what's going on. it's coming they say well it's not good enough Outback Equipment. sort your S**t out. I have spent thousands with you over the years and this is a recurring thing well that's it from me you won't see another order from me again.

Bought wrong anti flap kit. Tried to send back to OE. Shipping costs two thirds of original price for refund of outstanding credit. Will have to sell privately. Not worth the effort. Make sure you buy the correct item. After sales is a joke!!!

Upon your initial point of contact with our team, you were provided with our returns policy for an incorrect purchase, with clear clarification it would be a return for credit. We tried to aid you as best we could and offered to help facilitate your return freight, but never heard back from you. If you wish to proceed with this return, simply reply to our email.

sorry for the negaqtive review, however the last experince was that you guys took an extremely long time to even get around to posting the article ordered. ordered on 6 Feb... posted 16 Feb.. Luckly time pressure was not extreme, Had a week up my sleev befroe being extreme and having to take other measures.

The tail gate assist kit is impossible to install due to the bolt that it requires you to take out. The bolts in question are from factory locktited torx bolts that is extremely difficult to remove and will end up shearing itself before coming out. I highly suggest to not attempt it for your tools and car sake.

Ordered a shower exhaust fan & vent. Item was very poorly packed, box was crushed, & the vent shroud was bent & buckled. Emailed Outback Equipment, but got no response.

Wrong part came in and wasn’t checked by you. I had to return to store and await new order to come in. Again the new product was missing parts and assembly instructions. I am still waiting for the missing parts to come in. This has been on going since I ordered the products in December

Last order took 5 weeks to get and got an email saying ready to pick up half only turned up got it home it was wrong size so incorrect order another couple of weeks finally got it This time been waiting at least 4 weeks and the product still isn’t in
