About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

The product i ordered and paid for was not available. I was notified a week later which left too little time to source the product from someone else before my trip. There was also the delay in getting the funds returned.

I ordered and paid for a small part for my caravan on a Tuesday and it wasn't picked and packed until Saturday. It took another week for me to receive it. Also i was overcharged on postage. I will not use you again or recommend you to anyone. This might be only one complaint to you but i am on a lot of f/b sites.

Shockingly bad experience! Their 'no refund for change of mind; store credit only', is a violation of the trust that Consumers have grown to expect from ecommerce. The item wasn't even in stock for 2 weeks. Then another 10 days waiting for delivery! Stay away!

In regards to my order of 16 chairs I originally ordered a directors chair, i bought 3 for work, then liked them so much at the discounted price i bought 16. They were from all the reviews I was so happy about i told my friends to buy. I was rung after ordering that these couldn't be supplied, as they couldn't get them so had to choose another product. I dropped the order to 9 and they were all really helpful through the process and all but I still feel they are not as good of quality that I'd hoped for. I'd seen pictures that were sent through for transparency but when sat in they just don't have the 180kg weight rating and quality of the ones I'd ordered nor are they as comfortable.

They have everything you need for your caravan upgrades, everything I needed was in stock and was delivered quickly!

Overall I am fairly pleased with my recent online shopping experience with Outback Equipment. I have noticed a practice which appears to be becoming more common lately with some online sellers whereby they sell items which they don’t have in stock without making it clear that the items will be on back order until stock arrives. Very disappointing to find out after paying when the item could be bought elsewhere without delay. Several days after I placed my order I received a phone call from staff at OE to advise that due to an error and promised stock delivery which had not eventuated my order could not be supplied until stock arrived from overseas. I was not happy to have to wait as I had plans to use it ASAP. I did, however very much appreciate the phone call, accompanying apology and explanation rather than just to leave me to wonder as has happened with other sellers previously. The delay was longer than expected but I did eventually receive my order in good condition after a further hiccup with the courier where OE staff were not helpful in locating my parcel. Thank you Outback Equipment. I may give you another try when I need something else that you supply.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Issues: - Terrible website (doesn't render well on desktop or mobile, latency, poor user interface, misleading specs). No apologies for misleading specs, instead blaming it on the manufacturer. - Mansplaining customer service rep who told me my CUB camper trailer couldn't be as small as I said it was. - Understaffing, so it took them 6 days to process a return - and only when I escalated it. - Understaffing, so it took them 4 business days (6 total days) to dispatch an order. - Terrible courier Aramex, who, after saying it would be delivered on a specific day, now simply says it's delayed. Do NOT buy from this provider!!!

The one issue I have is the number of emails that followed advertising your wares. I have tried several times to unsubscribe. The emails have reduced but not ceased. Could you please unsubscribe me.

I purchased their caravan valet with dual drive wheels and a driver drill all up costing 1550$ and it moved the 2.2 tonne van about 1 inch and that is it. Don't touch these things as they only will work on smooth flat level concrete. Mine failed on bitumen with a pitch of less than half a degree.

Was missing a few parts from an item I bought and with one phone call outback packed up what was needed and sent to me with in a couple of days I cannot recommend them more highly and will definitely be buying more products from them
